I would definitely come here for a special occasion if you wanna get a high quality meal with great service without having to worry about dressing up. The meat sets are perfect for two people along with side dishes and rice. My only small comment is that they don't provide lettuce, and instead give a soaked leafy vegetable that is albeit nicer than lettuce, but lacks the crunch that I crave from a good lettuce wrap with rice and bbq meat. We have found our new go-to KBBQ spot - Naksan has got serious competition. The weekday lunch set is an incredible value and one of the best restaurant deals in Boston - we were stuffed and the meat and side dishes are all very good quality. Only minorly annoying thing was the music was a bit too loud (must be a sign I'm getting old =') so it was hard to hear our server at times and kinda makes it feel like a bar/club. Speaking of servers, shoutout to our server Lucy who was one of the best servers I've had. She was incredibly attentive, cooked our meat to perfection, and shared with us all sorts of fun stories. Our server was wonderful and attentive and cooked our food to seared perfection. The banchan was balanced, bursting with flavor, and had enough variety for everybody. We had a huge group of 10 people and sat comfortably in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant is also HUGE and has a beautiful and clean aesthetic. The main food comes in sets, and we got the Jinjee set which comprised of American wagyu, pork jowl, and pork belly plus of course ban chan and matcha soft serve for dessert. Our server was truly exceptional - she grilled every piece to perfection, to our liking (medium rare), and with great attention to detail, offering unobtrusive tips for which meats to add a light touch of salt, or other condiments to complement and enhance the flavor profile. New premium bbq place in Allston. We went at around 3-4 ish so our wait time was ~20 mins. There's a pretty big waiting area, it is soft opening right now so only one side of the place is open and wait time will likely be longer cuz they are. understaffed. They have 3 diff sets you can choose from, this place is on the pricier side but has quality cuts. Prices are cheaper for lunch though 11-3. Our waiter was super nice and explained everything including what to meats to eat with which side dishes. The staff cooks everything for you , sometimes it was a little awk cuz they're just standing there most of the time but it was nice to not have to do anything. I think there vent is the gold rim around the stove so there is NO SMELL of bbq at all on anything. They give many side dishes including radish with sesame, kimchi, marinated shrimp and squid, sweet potato, and pear. We got the was the JINJEE set, 3 of them, each person is required to get one (the same set) unless under 14. We also got the Gochujang Jjigae $12 this was really good, not too salty or spicy. And the Mul Makguksu $12 which was a refreshing cold noodleband they have vinegar and mustard to add to ur desire. We asked if they had rice and he seemed offended we would even ask but this rice was SO GOOD idk what they're using but it shined  Def wanna try the japanese wagyu if i get the chance next time. So grateful that I didn't smell of bbq and the staff were all really nice and attentive. I think they serve like a roasted barley tea instead of water so wasn't a huge fan but i'm sure u can ask for water if anything. The pork belly was the cut that was just okay in my opinion but the others cuts were all really good. I def need that rice recipe though. read more

You can see in the picture how little the amount is. The service is also overbearing because the server is constantly next to you grilling the meat when I just would rather cook the meat myself and enjoy private time with my family. Went back again yesterday since they're fully opened now and had the best time! Our server Min was such a hoot, he was very entertaining and explained everything on the menu really well. He also made sure our banchan (which is the best banchan we've ever had a Korean restaurant!) was always refilled immediately when we were running low. The service here was top notch all around; even when he had to step away for something, another waiter would step up right away to help with the cooking or checking if we needed anything. Because of this, the food never burned and was cooked perfectly. We tried the Sura set this time and it was definitely worth it! The Wagyu steaks were melt-in-your-mouth buttery. The American boneless short rib Wagyu was top tier quality, almost thought it was Japanese A5 Wagyu. We also got to try the Doenjang Jjigae which was so flavorful and delicious. Came here as Boston barely have premium Korean BBQ. Came here on Saturday morning when they opened and we got seat. We tried the sura set as that's what we came for. First they have 6 panchan, 2 salad and 2 dipping sauce. The complimentary panchan is all good. We pretty much ordered more for each one and the squid and shrimp panchan are very good with rice, which is complementary too. The portion of the sura set for 2 don't look big but it's enough for us. The waiter pretty much just stood by our table all the time cooking the meat for us. It's good that the meat can be cooked right, but then less privacy. The Japanese A5 Wagyu and American Wagyu are the best for sure. The marinated Wagyu is our least favorite as it served the last. So you know compared to the best meat, it's no longer as good. At the end they have vanilla ice cream with bean powder. Everything is good and I would have rated it 5 stars. BUT the reason I downgraded to 4 stars is that the menu is misleading. The sura set has 2 prices, one for dinner and one for lunch. They even have the lunch hour specified. HOWERVER, the lunch price is only for weekday lunch hours. Therefore, we were surprised that our total bill is more than what we expected. That's the only disappointment. read more

The service was outstanding - we were greeted by a lovely host who generously found us a table on a busy Saturday (even without a reservation)! All of the waiters were attentive, a team of people will be at your table side to refill the delish 반찬 (banchan), 보리차 (barley tea). We got the Sura set with Japanese and American wagyu that was cooked in front of us to perfection by Brandon. We also ordered sides of 된장찌개 (soybean stew) and 고추장찌개 (gochujang stew) - delish!! We also got the soondobu ..yum.. for 5 ppl it was so much food but we managed to pack it all in including the ice cream at the end.. This group has the right formula, we also had tried Sambada during soft opening and same experience,, both food and service were amazing and while ambience for both were very different, it was perfect.
