Hands down the best Korean BBQ spot in Boston right now! I've been here a few times and have tried both the Jinjee Set (pork + American Wagyu) and the Sura Set (American Wagyu + A5 Japanese Wagyu), and both were excellent. The quality is impressive from the meats all the way down to the banchan. It's definitely on the pricier side, but you can taste the difference, so I think it's absolutely worth it. They also serve the best gochujang jjigae. Rich, flavorful, and the perfect addition to the BBQ. I love that the servers cook everything for you, so you can just sit back and enjoy your meal. The complimentary house-made soft serve at the end is the perfect finishing touch. The space is spacious and nicely done, without feeling overly fancy, and best of all, you don't leave smelling like BBQ! This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Made resys for a weekday lunch a week in advance but I imagine needing to book much earlier for dinner or weekends. This location was formally TITS. From the outside, it is unassuming - even the restaurant sign is subtle. The lighting inside is very dim, our waiter kept saying 'evening' to us haha but understandably so. Great place for a date day/night. Service 12/10. I was absolutely blown away by the service here. Our waiter, Jing, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the menu/food and he cooked the meat perfectly. The staff here do a great job at making you feel like you are well taken care of. We both got the sura set and the food was delicious, from the wagyu to the banchan. Our only complaint was that a couple cuts of the beef were a bit chewier than expected for the price point but the beef was fresh. The sets came with banchan, rice, and dessert (vanilla ice cream). We celebrated our 5th anniversary here and the staff was kind enough to take a Polaroid of us. Definitely will be a regular spot for us. read more

I loved getting to try all the different cuts, but the pork jowl and pork belly were definitely my favorites. Heaven!!! EVERYTHING was mind blowing and luxurious. Ambiance, drinks, meat, side dishes... even the bathroom had toiletries!!! You don't even have to lift a finger to cook the meat as the servers do it for you. I went on a Friday afternoon the restaurant was pretty packed. I had to wait in the seating area for a couple minutes, but I was seated shortly after. The staff was really friendly and explained the menu and different cuts of meats well. The best part about this was that the staff grills the meat so you can sit back and enjoy the food. The food itself was really good. The food was really fresh and you get unlimited side dishes as well. The only thing that caught me off guard was the bill. According to the menu, lunch sets aren't offered on the weekend and holidays and this restaurant counts Friday as part of the weekend which wasn't clear. read more

Glad I was able to get a reservation here! Overall vibes is an upscale kbbq spot where you can sit and relax instead of actively grilling. The staff are attentive and stay at your table for a good portion of the meals to make sure the meats don't get overcooked. Our table ordered the Jinjee set with 3 other noodles/rice bowls. I expect it would be filling even if we didn't get accompaniments. I liked that the jinjee set has both pork and beef so you can have bit of everything. The sides that came with the meal were all delicious and share similarities to their sister restaurant next door. The meats were all grilled nicely and did not need much seasoning to taste the flavors. The sides are definitely a strong part of the meal. The chayotes and squid/roe were my favorites out of them all. The chayotes are sweet and refreshing that is similar to radish. And the roe was so good with rice. Also have to say, they have some pretty good white rice if that's something you pay attention to. Another highlight is their paprika seasoning that accompanies the pork. Drinks were good, overall not overly strong in alc taste but refreshing/sweet. Shoutout to Jing for being a great grill master for our meal. Searching for Korean BBQ and JINJEE popped up. As we pull up, to my surprise it's where The Kells - turned Tavern on The Square - used to be! Such a weird feeling being back in the building but totally different vibe. Front entrance is a like walking into a space ship with lots of LEDs. The dining area is split in three with the bar area in the middle. The right side (facing the street) with big windows has large, long comfy booths for big parties and smaller 4/2 tops. The left side is for 4 & 2 tops. The bar area has high top tables and bench seating. We were greeted right away but sadly a couple minutes too late for lunch. The price difference is $15-$20 for lunch vs dinner. We were greeted with barley tea and the nicest server who was so patient, friendly and helpful explaining the menu and how to order. We decided on the Jinjee dinner for 4, which includes steak and pork. The banchan had some of the usual like kimchee, pickled radish but also other items I haven't tried. Everything was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. We especially liked the little dishes of salt, mushroom mixture and ginger. They were so proactive refilling items when we were running low. The meat was grilled to perfection. Note: They grill for you. I like mine on the crispier side and they were happy to deliver. He gave good suggestions which sides to mix together for the best bite. We had a cold noodle dish which had a little spice to it with egg, pork and spinach? With some kind of powder which everyone enjoyed. It was a great suggestion to go with the main meal. The meal includes a small cup of soft serve ice cream with soy bean powder sprinkled on top. Just the right amount of sweet to end the meal. They are truly serious about Korean BBQ here and the quality of the side dishes and meats prove it. Their staff is also highly trained and polished. I would definitely come here for a special occasion if you wanna get a high quality meal with great service without having to worry about dressing up. The meat sets are perfect for two people along with side dishes and rice. My only small comment is that they don't provide lettuce, and instead give a soaked leafy vegetable that is albeit nicer than lettuce, but lacks the crunch that I crave from a good lettuce wrap with rice and bbq meat. New premium bbq place in Allston. We went at around 3-4 ish so our wait time was ~20 mins. There's a pretty big waiting area, it is soft opening right now so only one side of the place is open and wait time will likely be longer cuz they are. understaffed. They have 3 diff sets you can choose from, this place is on the pricier side but has quality cuts. Prices are cheaper for lunch though 11-3. Our waiter was super nice and explained everything including what to meats to eat with which side dishes. The staff cooks everything for you , sometimes it was a little awk cuz they're just standing there most of the time but it was nice to not have to do anything. I think there vent is the gold rim around the stove so there is NO SMELL of bbq at all on anything. They give many side dishes including radish with sesame, kimchi, marinated shrimp and squid, sweet potato, and pear. We got the was the JINJEE set, 3 of them, each person is required to get one (the same set) unless under 14. We also got the Gochujang Jjigae $12 this was really good, not too salty or spicy. And the Mul Makguksu $12 which was a refreshing cold noodleband they have vinegar and mustard to add to ur desire. We asked if they had rice and he seemed offended we would even ask but this rice was SO GOOD idk what they're using but it shined  Def wanna try the japanese wagyu if i get the chance next time. So grateful that I didn't smell of bbq and the staff were all really nice and attentive. I think they serve like a roasted barley tea instead of water so wasn't a huge fan but i'm sure u can ask for water if anything. But honestly the service was the real star -- Minh was so charming and attentive (without being overbearing). We have found our new go-to KBBQ spot - Naksan has got serious competition. The weekday lunch set is an incredible value and one of the best restaurant deals in Boston - we were stuffed and the meat and side dishes are all very good quality. Only minorly annoying thing was the music was a bit too loud (must be a sign I'm getting old =') so it was hard to hear our server at times and kinda makes it feel like a bar/club. Came here as Boston barely have premium Korean BBQ. Came here on Saturday morning when they opened and we got seat. We tried the sura set as that's what we came for. First they have 6 panchan, 2 salad and 2 dipping sauce. The complimentary panchan is all good. We pretty much ordered more for each one and the squid and shrimp panchan are very good with rice, which is complementary too. The portion of the sura set for 2 don't look big but it's enough for us. The waiter pretty much just stood by our table all the time cooking the meat for us. It's good that the meat can be cooked right, but then less privacy. The Japanese A5 Wagyu and American Wagyu are the best for sure. The marinated Wagyu is our least favorite as it served the last. So you know compared to the best meat, it's no longer as good. At the end they have vanilla ice cream with bean powder. Everything is good and I would have rated it 5 stars. BUT the reason I downgraded to 4 stars is that the menu is misleading. The sura set has 2 prices, one for dinner and one for lunch. They even have the lunch hour specified. HOWERVER, the lunch price is only for weekday lunch hours. Went back again yesterday since they're fully opened now and had the best time! Our server Min was such a hoot, he was very entertaining and explained everything on the menu really well. He also made sure our banchan (which is the best banchan we've ever had a Korean restaurant!) was always refilled immediately when we were running low. The service here was top notch all around; even when he had to step away for something, another waiter would step up right away to help with the cooking or checking if we needed anything. Because of this, the food never burned and was cooked perfectly. We tried the Sura set this time and it was definitely worth it! The Wagyu steaks were melt-in-your-mouth buttery. The American boneless short rib Wagyu was top tier quality, almost thought it was Japanese A5 Wagyu. We also got to try the Doenjang Jjigae which was so flavorful and delicious. I ordered the jinjee set for two, which was $120 in total. The meat tasted pretty good but the amount of meat I got was so disappointing for the amount of money I spent.
