Jims steaks is outstanding! easily 5 stars!!! it's the quality of the steak they're using that sets this sandwich apart from the competition delicious always fresh combination of steak an onions makes it my go to with a wide variety of side orders to compliment. Great staff chefs prepare your meal made to order right in front of you, with a clean cozy dine in atmosphere when it comes to steak sandwiches this place has it down to a science .

I had very high expectations coming to this location because their South St location (which is closed temporarily due to a fire) had (I kid you not) the BEST cheesesteak that I have ever had. This location was extremely disappointing. The meat was chewy and lacked in the flavor that I was used to and expecting. The service was not the greatest either. All of the workers were in the back and rarely came out front even when the front door would open. regardless, you better get your steak with cheese wiz on it or you will be the dumb tourist!

Ordered: Cheesesteak w/ Onions and American Cheese Jim's Steaks has a clean interior with vintage diner-style tiling and plenty of seating indoors. It is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The workers aren't the most welcoming, but as long as you give them respect then they will make sure you get your food promptly and exactly how you want it. I was visiting Pennsylvania for the first time and this was the first time I've had a genuine Philly cheesesteak, so take my opinion with a grain of salt compared to a local's. The sandwich itself was tasty, but it seemed to be lacking from what I expected a Philly cheesesteak to be; there wasn't any juices or grease dripping from the cheesesteak. The meat was therefore a bit dry but still tender. With it being simply seasoned with salt and pepper and flavored by the grilled onions and cheese, it was a good first cheesesteak that costed about $14. I even took one for my plane ride back so my girlfriend can try it and she enjoyed it after a good air fry. Jim's Steaks was my first authentic Philly cheesesteak, but I will likely be trying another place the next time I am in town.

My first time at this location, I was hungry so I stopped in. Well lit, clean, only two people inside. Has a atm inside as well. I ordered a Beef Cheese Steak with fried onions, lite mayo, s&p, ketchup! An a fountain drink Coke to wash it down. I would have preferred the meat be chopped more. The sandwich was bland not sure it's because it's grilled with water but it just didn't sing to my soul. There was no juices running down my hands nothing.. it settled my hunger but didn't invite me back. I usually get American Cheese but ordered provolone this time so that may have changed things a bit then what I'm used to having.

Short: Decent food, but nothing to rave home about. Quick service and a good option for a quick bite to eat. Long: Stopped at Jim's steaks for a quick bite to eat while driving through the area, and it was a decent experience. Service is friendly and attentive! Restaurant is clean and well put together as well! However the food is only okay, I found the cheesesteak lacking flavor and was not exceptional. I found the steak to be a little dry and onions were a bit undercooked. Cheese was solid and bread was fresh. Overall Jim's is a satisfactory meal but falls short of being a great cheesesteak. Good option for a quick bite to eat.

Managers are very nice. Food leaves something to be desired. Order no onions and they will find their way onto your steak anyway

Great personality and attentive but not overbearing. He explained the bartender was backed-up and let us know it was going to be a little wait for our cocktails. I appreciate honest communication and setting of expectations. What We ordered: Buffalo Shrimp - the shrimp were Jumbo and they had a pleasing presentation and taste. They were room temperature as if they had been sitting but we still njoyed them. Calimari & Shrimp - These were hot and delicious Cheesteak Eggrolls - These were hot and very flavorful. The Espresso and Lemon Drop Martinis were excellent... Cheers to the bartender! (unfortunately I did not get her name but it was Saturday night, June 8, 24) You know who you are and kudos to you. For dessert I had the brownie sundae and my friend had the warm apple crumb cake, both were very good and yummy!!! Thank you Streetlight for wonderful meal. I don't know when this location went so far downhill, but this was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. I was told my food was ready at 9:12 and didn't actually receive it until 9:40 after having to walk inside myself and ask for it. On top of that, I ordered a medium well steak and it came out completely charred black. The bread was stale and hard, they forgot the butter for the sweet potato, and the Brussels sprouts had so much salt dumped on them they were basically inedible. To make things even more unprofessional, while customers were waiting outside, two bus boys were standing there talking to each other while one showed the other pictures on his phone saying, "Look at this girl, I'm sleeping with her and her friend." Completely inappropriate behavior in front of customers. Really sad to see because this used to be one of my favorite spots.
