    Italian Cold Cut Grinder

I was in desperate need of a grinder and decided to give Jim's a chance! They deliver so with lunch time typically being nap time at home I don't get out much! I would have loved a cappicola grinder but they didn't have any so I settled and got an Italian combo grinder and it was so perfect and HUGE! I added banana peppers and oil and vinegar and it was the PERFECT combo! Hopefully they get cappicola back and add that in too next time! Their hot Buffalo wings are so good as well!

I stopped by this place for lunch and wanted to try the pizza. The place itself was spacious clean and pretty empty. The pizza was piping hot and fresh and tasted delicious. I will say it was a bit salty possibly from the toppings but overall the service was great and the food was delicious

You can see how tiny some of the 12 pieces are. The new owners are a disgrace!!

I ordered a large pizza from them and paid $25 for it... Ended up being a mere 16" pizza. Horrible quantity for the price. Called to complain and after being 'on hold' (heard all conversations ), then they hung up! Will NEVER order from there again.

    Large antipasto salad. Yummy!

Awesome Italian restaurant in Windsor center! Plenty of dining room space and tasty Italian food.

Popped in for lunch today. They have three pretty good sized dining rooms, two were empty and the one I was seated in had three tables of customers. They feature a very broad basic menu - soups, salad, wings, calzones, Greek, Italian, chicken, veal, steak, fried seafood, sandwiches, pizza, grinders, and wraps. I had a chicken barley soup and a half turkey grinder. The soup was very good -nice chunks of chicken in a thick comforting sea of reddish broth and barley. Room for improvement? Yes it was just lukewarm. The half grinder was solid- nicely toasted roll with shredded lettuce, ripe tomato slices and a generous supply of deli turkey (not slimy like a prior review mentioned). The server was polite, pleasant, and smiley. It's not gourmet dining, but if diner comfort food rings your bell, you should enjoy the tune Jim's plays.

Stopped in after doing a Google search for local pizza places. It sits in the middle of a neighborhood and wow!!! What a great meal! They have a wide variety on the menu but my husband and I chose the classic Italian pizza. Yummy!!! The service was great...the one lady serving the sitting area was very nice and helpful in making choices. The pizza was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients and homemade. Will definitely visit again if ever in the area!

I visited this restaurant since it was the closest steakhouse to our hotel on a recent work trip…read more We tried to order iced tea....and they said they have it..but they would have to brew some. Apparently iced tea is a no no to order in the fall or winter in small town Connecticut. I chose their 14oz prime ribeye for what seemed to be a good price of only $40. It comes with the mixed veggies (Broccoli. Carrots. Squash) and potato of the day (homemade mashed potatoes). The steak was a bit chewy and did not seem to be a typical prime cut of beef I am used to getting back in Texas. Maybe prime beef in Connecticut isn't as good quality, who knows. The homemade bread that comes out before the dinner is good but hard. It's also very garlicky. Service was a bit awkward. Our waitress came by halfway through and said she was checking to make sure we were well taken care of...but my tea was almost empty and she just walked off and didn't say she'd refill it. I eventually had to flag her down a few mins later to ask for a refill. At fancy restaurants, they just fill it without you asking. She also messed up my colleagues meal. He asked for no squash and the chef seemed to put extra squash on his plate. She should have remembered that he didn't want squash. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I just expected more from a fancy restaurant. You pay a little more for better food and better service, but we didn't get that here.

I like seafood and have heard good things. I ordered a crab cake appetizer and baked stuffed shrimp as my entree. The crab cake was lots of "cake" and very little crab. Crumbly and bland, the only decent part was the drizzle it was plated on. The shrimp was simply awful. The coleslaw could easily be something they picked up at the supermarket. The "side" of peas (likely frozen) in rice was the kind of thing that a kid would be served in a school cafeteria - and they wouldn't eat it either. A restaurant at this level should be ashamed to serve this flavorless concoction. The shrimp was overcooked (and rubbery); I still don't know what that slice of ? was on the second shrimp - the one with the lemon. The "stuffing" was a flavorless, soggy, bready mess. This was not what I would expect from any self respecting restaurant, let alone one that thinks it is justified in charging what they do. (I did get a taste of the eggplant side from my wife's plate and that was pretty good. That's the one star.)
