This is my time here! The restaurant is located at 775 Main St. in Manchester. Per the restaurant: "We take pride in providing you the customer with friendly and attentative service. They have Happy Hour 7 days a week from 3-6! I'm here at 3:39 PM for Happy Hour. It's dead but it's really early. It's nice and cool in here. This place is huge! There is a banquet room in back too. For my first drink, I'm having a Manhattan made with Old Overholt Rye Whiskey, sweet vermouth and orange bitters. It's quite good. It's nicely garnished and well balanced. For my first item, I'm having the Garden Salad (side version) made with iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This is good! I love the dressing! The music is nice and the right sound level. The bartender is knowledgeable and very pleasant. All of the menus are posted on slate chalkboards. For my next food item, I'm having the Pasta Faglioli soup made with cannellini beans and mixed pasta in a homemade tomato and vegetable broth. Will you look at this? That's a huge plate! This is a lot to eat! A meal in itself! This is a lot to eat! I'm impressed! It tastes great and is piping hot! For my next drink, I'm having the Old Fashioned made with Old Forester Bourbon, aromatic bitters, orange bitters and sugar. It's not bad. A little less water (to make it a bit stronger) would go a long ways. However, it is nicely garnished (lemon on the bottom). For my appetizer, I'm having the Baked Meatballs. This normally is 6, but I have requested a half order (3). They can do it! These are ground beef and pork meatballs baked o their homemade marinara sauce topped with 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese and served with 2 (1 for me) garlic bread crostinis. Look at this! These guys can deliver! These are delicious! The crostini is awesome! For my next drink, I'm having a Fig Martini made with Figenza Mediterranean Vodka, Combier, lime juice and cranberry juice. Combier is a French brand of liqueurs founded in 1834, most known for creating the world's first triple sec orange liqueur, Combier L'Original, by Jean-Baptiste Combier and his wife Josephine. Produced in Saumur, France, using traditional methods and a proprietary recipe of sweet and bitter oranges, water, and sugar, the company also offers other liqueurs, including Royal Combier (a blend with cognac and spices) and Combier Le Bleu (a premium blue curaçao). This is an interesting ingredient that I've never seen before. This is a good drink! It has a unique taste! It's similar to a Cosmopolitan. It's nicely garnished and well balanced. For my entree, I'm having the Chicken Marsala. This comes with bread and salad. I already had the salad so none extra for me. These are tender medallions of chicken and mushrooms sautéed in a sweet Marsala wine sauce tossed with penne. This smells good! It's piping hot! I have ordered from this place for over 10 years. I've sat inside about 3 times now. I recommend visiting then ordering delivery/takeout. Personally I think the food / service is better. Great happy hour hours and options. Service - depending on the day it can be busy. The workers are very kind & do their normal check ins. The waiter one day was kind to ask if we wanted the blinds to be closed due to the sun in our face. Ambiance - this has a nice small/med sized bar, since it is a smaller restaurant it can feel tight but once you are in your seat you aren't bothered by others. Food - like all restaurants it can have its bad days. Some classics my family and I like to order are: Mozzarella Sticks Arancini - crunchy, yummy.. recommendation is trying new versions other than classic. I can see this being a hit. They're sprinkled with Parmesan and so delightful. I always get the chicken wings with sauces on the side so they stay crispy. Pizza is so good. Right amount of cheese, sauce and pepperoni. The pizza was amazing! The delivery driver was rude! We gave her a 20% tip to drive around the corner and she wouldn't come in to deliver. I had to walk out to the parking lot. When I asked for plates, she rudely informed me I was supposed to ask for them when I called. I ordered online and it was my first time so How is the customer supposed to know that. We came here at 4 PM on Monday afternoon after a hair appointment next door. We've seen the place often but never stopped in. It was pretty empty inside so we got a choice of whatever see if we wanted. I came with my nine year old daughter, so we decided to split the risotto balls and get the baked combo to split. The risotto balls were delicious and I was very pleased to see that the meatballs that came in the combo we're actually homemade meatballs. I'm so used to tasting frozen meatballs at restaurants that we just stop in it. It was so refreshing to taste, a real meatball. My daughter won't stop raving about the stuff shells. Went in on Monday night at 5:30 and we were seated right away. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive, though I didn't see many of them. The antipasto was so good, I had to start fighting my kids for the meat - the caprese was all mine though! Got the gluten free pizza for my 10 year old son who nearly polished it off. The XL combo pizza (hamburger, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, mushroom, onion) was delicious, but it was a little overkill for the 4 of us, I'm sure the Large would have been good enough. Ordered an eggplant parm and buffalo pasta. Got home and the buffalo pasta had chicken on it (we're vegetarians). Went back and the person said they had taken the order and remembered no chicken. Asked if I wanted another one, I said I didn't want to wait, just give me a refund. They said they couldn't because their system wouldn't let them and they could give me a credit. This is ridiculous. I said I don't want a credit because it was the 2nd time this had happened. 10 minutes of arguing and they couldn't give me a refund. So I said I guess I'll take the credit. 3 weeks later I call to place an order on the credit and they couldn't find it. Another 10 minutes and they said they'd have to talk to the manager. I told them to forget it. If you care about your order or their "credit system", my advice is to just not go there. read more

We recently had a birthday party for my dad in the private room at Filomena's. Mike and his ENTIRE staff were so helpful, they made planning so very easy and stress free. I came here to pick up a salad one time and I over heard a delivery driver threatening to spit in a customers food.. you can say that was my last time there. some of the staff can be very friendly but don't let that encourage you to come back because what happens behind the kitchen doors is another story. The owner was very unprofessional one of my last visits and was visibly angry with his staff and was slamming things and yelling at them in the back of the kitchen I don't support any businesses that condone this or even allow this type of behavior at all. It's a mistake to think that the review of a restaurant that is super classy or super extravagant or super snazzy, means that the ones that are not any of those things necessarily don't measure up somehow. I did a review of this particular restaurant about a year ago, and I've been going to this restaurant often on since 2016, perhaps once a month or once every two months. They have an appetizer that's called a risotto ball which is wonderful and I like their veal Parmesan as well. What I want to talk about now, and what motivates me to give them five stars at this point, is a staff member, a waitress, who went the extra mile for me and I think it all to be noted. My wife and I were there for dinner a couple of nights ago and we noticed that the people we saw on staff were different than the ones that we were accustomed to seeing. The thirtysomething gal that waited our table, asked me if there was anything that I needed. I joked with her about always wishing that they had milk to serve with ice, with my veal Parmesan; a personal preference of mine whenever I eat tomato sauce. I love milk and especially cold milk. It has been typical of this particular restaurant not to be able to provide the milk because they don't typically have it in their store house. However this gal decided as I understand it, to leave the restaurant and go to a corner store and buy a gallon of milk so that she could come back and bring me a glass of milk with ice in it. Not only was that nice of her but that really was above and beyond, and something completely unexpected. So if nothing else I just want to take a moment and upgrade my previous review and make note of this waitress who went the extra mile to make sure I enjoyed my meal. One of the best parts of Filomena's are all the specialty pizza options. As someone who loves lots of toppings and unique combinations, I was excited about the multiple pizzas my group selected. We ordered personal sized Mashed Potato, Margherita, and Sliced Meatball Parm Pizzas, as well as a Sicilian, which came as one size. My favorites (no surprise here) were the mashed potato and sliced meatball parm thanks to the smorgasbord of toppings! The Sicilian pizza had quite a thick crust, which the server did let us know in advance, but the other three had a really nice crust with a balanced crisp and chew. I was a little surprised by the wait after ordering our pizzas, it seemed a little long given the light crowd on Saturday afternoon, but not too excessive. read more

All of the food I have tried here is delicious, and they have great specials every night of the week, $6 personal cheese pizzas on Mondays is my favorite. This is not a review so much about their food but about their delivery service. Food was okay. Asked for breaded chicken on half the pizza but it looked like they cooked the pizza and then just cut up cooked chicken tenders and plopped them right on top of the cooked pizza. I ordered extra cheese which definitely did not get done! And if it did, I would hate to see what a normal amount of cheese is on a small Pizza. Bottom of pizza was black. I ordered through the slice app, which is terrible as it is. It doesn't show any relevant info on where your food is , just that it is "on its way", and an approx Time of delivery. But the restaurant delivery woman was beyond rude. She drove a dark SUV with a Filomena t shirt on. I gather from her attitude that she had trouble finding my place. I asked for no contact delivery so when she rang the doorbell , I opened the door and waved my hand out so as to let her know I knew she was there. I then partially shut the door. Looking through the peekhole, I saw she was still there. I peeked out the door again and she asked quite rudely if I was expecting pizza. I told her yes, I was. She was clearly annoyed. She told me my phone kept going to voice mail and I shook my head and mouthed that I didn't know why. (As I checked my phone later, I didn't see any missed calls, unknown or otherwise.). But I'm willing to chalk it up to a mix up. She went to her car to retrieve my food. She came back with her phone in her hands and I heard her say to the other person "no don't worry I've got it". She put my food on my porch and all I could her hear was her swearing to whoever was on the other end of the phone. Look, I get delivery is hard and miscommunications happen. It was probably along day and she just wanted to get home. But her rudeness and language within my presence was just uncalled for. I realize she must have been frustrated by the experience but I assume if u work for the restaurant, u are going to have some sort of professionalism and respect. I can't explain the phone thing but she acted like it did it on purpose. My house isn't easy to find in the dark and I acknowledge that also. The food was great but, I ordered delivery. It was quick like twenty maybe thirty minutes. They must have gave me an in house serving because that was not enough spaghetti for the spaghetti lemon franses. They filled the to go container like it was leftovers. I wish they would have filled the to go container with more food, they are expensive. I'd say by the prices that they want you to experience the restaurant in person. The first time going to filomenas was sensational. Entering transports you to a different world, filled with Italian art and unique dishes. I was greeted with friendly faces and kind workers. I never waited too long for my food and every time it was amazing. Last week, I ordered food for my family because it is their favorite restaurant. Their calzones are cooked perfectly. Not to mention the endless choices of specialty pizzas. Every time I go, I order a new pizza I had never tried before. The Baja pizza is my current favorite.
