Went again for lunch here. Staff are amazing. Service was excellent. This time their pop machine was working which I was happy with. Food was excellent, nice cheeseburger on par with others in the area. Huge menu and reasonably priced. It wasn't very crowded but we had an early lunch and missed the lunch rush.

All American plate. Took a few bites first

We were on the west side of town on a Monday night for a family event and needed a place to enjoy a…read morenice casual dinner. Of course, Monday nights are always difficult with so many restaurants closed but my wife used Yelp to see what was open nearby. Cristo's popped up. We weren't familiar with the restaurant (my sister in law indicated that a pizza restaurant had been in this location several years prior with good pizza but a bad attitude) but what the heck, we thought we would give it a try. Well, I can't say enough nice things about Cristo's. We thought we were going for pizza, what we ended up with was some of the best homemade pasta (almost all is homemade), gnocchi, and a wonderful chicken parm that was to die for. Loved the marinara sauce - clearly everything was homemade (including the bread). Pleasant environment. Not loud, well laid out. Good selection of wines (too bad that we learned afterwards that there was no corkage fee on Mondays). Just a wonderful little restaurant with great service, superior food, and well-priced. Can't emphasize the latter enough with today's inflation. And the choices on the menu if you don't like pasta are also intriguing. Nightly steak choices (the filet mignon on a Monday night sounded wonderful but I just had to try the pasta). Wish we had something on the east side like this!

For my main course I ordered the rigatoni bolognese which was fantastic. The sauce was a lighter version of a traditional bolognese, but still packed with flavor. The only thing that kept me from giving this establishment 5 stars was the martini I ordered. It was served in a cosmo glass but was filled about 1/3. Because the glass is cone shaped, the volume was certainly less than 1/4. The bar tender needs to up their game and learn how to serve a martini. Charging $16.50,for what amounted to a short shot, is almost criminal. I would definitely go back. But next time, I'm ordering a bottle of wine in lieu of a cocktail.

The server was friendly. The bad: they were woefully understaffed. It seems like there was one server for the entire restaurant including two large parties. Ours was one of those parties. Our reservation was at 6:15. We were seated quickly but did not see a server for at least 30 minutes after. It took at least another 30 minutes to get half of our drinks, another 15 to get the other half, and another 30 to get appetizers. When our main dishes came out, some were not very hot, the crab fried rice was missing crab, but the rest of the dishes were good. After appetizers, dinner and dessert we left the restaurant about 2.5 hours after arriving. I'd try this restaurant again because the food and drinks were good but it's probably best to go with a smaller party.

Service was friendly and the weight staff checked on us a lot. I ordered the Caesar salad with french fries the garlic stuffed bread, and we tried to the spiritless cocktails on the menu. The food was delicious and I have no complaints there. However, the spiritless cocktails left a lot to be desired. I would probably come back here again.

It feels like the kind of place you could easily spend a morning working, meeting friends, or just enjoying good coffee. I ordered the Banjo Bird on a brioche panini with grilled chicken, garlic aioli, pepper jack, kimchi pickled cucumber, tomato, and arugula. The flavor combination was fantastic. The tang from the kimchi pickled cucumber with the creamy aioli and pepper jack made every bite really interesting. Flavor wise, it was easily a 10/10. The only downside was that there was a bit too much sauce, which made the sandwich pretty soggy and it started falling apart while eating it. Still delicious, just a little messy. Their website also seems a bit outdated, which made things slightly confusing before visiting. Overall though, I really enjoyed it and can't wait to come back to try the coffee and a breakfast sandwich.

There was a sitting area right by the counter, and one around the other side for more privacy. It wasn't too busy when we went. There was one corner that had outlets from what I saw, so it might be a good idea to come with a charged laptop. The menu itself contains gluten free items which is a plus! It is also pretty affordable, with a range of items and prices. We ordered the Hi-Fi Burrito and a side of house red skin homefries. The portion sizes are generous, and nothing was greasy. I also love that they plan to use fresh produce from the public market in the warmer seasons. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it!!
