Wife like the Chopped Salad (a half salad is enough to share). The atmosphere is sports bar, which is cool but it doesn't interfere with any conversations going on at your table. Our service has always been very good; our waitress let's us know where the kitchen stands with our order and was very quick with our drink order, they are always very friendly and quick to help. We could not wait to try Bar-Bill East. It's in fantastic proximity to my son's college and we LOVE wings. Last night was our first visit. Timing was perfect as we arrived at 730pm as the happy crowd was departing following a big Bills wins (we are Jets fans). Also, should be noted, we are avid MacGregors fans. That the "Hatfield's" to the Bar-Bill's "McCoy's" in the wing story here. Atmosphere was fun, bright, festive and really great to be a part of. Huge space. Terrific feel. Love the decor, the floors, the volume level, and even the plates, napkins and ketchup bottle on the table. Our service was good and even great at times. Maybe because it was after 730 on a Sunday and they were winding down after a busy day - but I feel like we got lost a bit from time to time - but when our server was around, she was a 10 out of 10. Excellent. We ordered their famous wings and two beef on Wecks. The sandwiches lived up to the hype. Can't wait to have them again. The wings were really good. Loved their sauces (we got hot, honey Dijon, and Cajun-butter-BBQ) with extra blue cheese. By the time we got our wings they were lukewarm and dry. They were definitely cooked long prior and then sat in the window for a time. Taste was delicious. No carrot or celery with the wings was a bummer. As were the 2oz soufflé cups of blue cheese. And they don't miss a chance to charge a dollar for each additional. I have no problem with the upcharge. Stuff ain't free. But a dollar for 2oz cup? That's fairly reasonable for 4oz. 2oz is greedy. We stopped in here for a late lunch/pre dinner snack today after shopping with my niece at Costco for her dorm room. I'm in town for the Bills game tomorrow afternoon, and doing my tour of my favorite places to eat while here. This is now one of the best spots I never got to enjoy growing up, since it's relatively new to the area. Our server was Valerie C, and she was awesome! Friendly, professional, and we never needed anything because she was on top of whatever was happening in her section. Started out with a Bloody Mary and it was delicious. Spicy and salty, perfect just the way I enjoy them. We ordered the pretzel sticks, which come out HOT from the oven and are perfection for eating. Comes with cheese sauce/dip and yellow mustard. 4 to an order, and they're so addictive. The cheese is otherworldly, we had a side with our waffle fries and I'd have eaten the plastic container it comes in if we ran out of fries. The waffle fries were texturally perfect. Crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. With the cheese sauce it was hard not to order more. We split an order of 20 wings, 10 medium and 10 Cajun honey butter BBQ, which is their special sauce. Now living in Atlanta, where lemon pepper is the big popular flavor besides Buffalo hot- this would be the best and most requested flavor if it was there. Their blue cheese dressing is also Homemade, so good. Had enjoyed it to the point where I knew I needed one more before we even dug in. Valerie C is passionate about her work. I've written enthusiastically about Bar Bill in the Buffalo area. I was thrilled to hear they also had a "new" location in Rochester. (I say new because I haven't been in Rochester in three years) I mentioned this to the friends we were visiting and off we went. The hype I gave them was totally accurate as they loved Bar Bill as much as my wife and I did. Three of us had wings (lemon pepper, cajun honey butter bbq) and one ordered a chicken sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals immensely. We must of hit it lucky on a Saturday night because at 7:00, our wait was about ten minutes. Our server said the waits can be an hour or more. We were back in town and I had a hankering for some proper Western NY wings. When we discovered that the original Jerimiahs was closed for renovations a friend suggested this place. We used to frequent it when it was a McGregors. It was pretty quiet on a weekday after the typical lunch hour. We were seated on the outdoor patio since it was nice out and the rain was hours away. It was nice to be outside even though the noise from the highway was very loud. Overall the service was inattentive but the wings were very tasty. Three of us split an order of 20 medium wings. They were very good but wow have they gotten expensive - $35 for 20 wings! Ouch! We also got an ordered a fried cauliflower without sauce and that was good. I had High hopes for Bar Bill- I have heard so many people from Buffalo- totally love the wings. I need to tell you that my experience was not as good. We sat quickly, and our waitress was busy so another waitress took our drink orders.. they have a great custom hazy IPA made by K2 brewing ( next door) it was great.. my wife got a beef on weck I got wings.. the waitress told me to old medium light because "medium was really spicy".. the beef came Out quick, so quick we decided to order onion rings while waiting.. we ate the onion rings and beef on weck before the wings even hit the table.. needless to say I had one and waiting 10min for a box to take them home... the wings were crispy, flavor was dull, and the blue cheese was lacking any really blue cheese taste... Nice variety of wings of which we partook in standard buffalo and a honey variety. Wings were done extra crispy which were very good. Honey version was very tasty. After 4 visits, I think I can add an informed review. First visit with 1 other, both ordered wings. Decent food. Second visit, ordered chicken sandwich. Decent. Third visit with 1 other, ordered an app, specialty pizza, guest ordered wings. Food was ok, but the pizza came out much earlier than the wings (10 minutes), and the app arrived last (we probably should have canceled it). Fourth try: 3 diners, all main dishes came out at very random times. Wings were good, beef on weck was ok, and my chicken tenders (which came out last) were like a crispy chicken wing-no tenderness at all. Plus one extra side dish of fries came much later. Waitress seemed to be covering more tables than reasonable, but she was working quickly given her circumstances. They add your name to the list and give you a link so you can check your placement in line. The food was good but the wings took a long time, so much so that my husband was almost done his meal before mine arrived. The server also only came by once to check on us and never refilled our drinks. Ok.. first off this place opens up promptly at 11:30 am every day they are open. This was a different spot and for the life of me I can't remember the name. It does not really matter. The inside has lots of seating, long bar, lots of tv's and area where you can sit by the fireplace. It's not only one room though there is a bigger room if you walk straight back and I wonder if they are making available the upstairs space for parties and the like. The place got busy real fast on a Saturday at 11:30 am. Not a holiday just a random Saturday. Service is efficient and nice. When it's time to pay they have a device that you can tap your card or use Apple Pay and it's fast and efficient. We got the Beef on Weck which we shared. It was tasty it came with chips, au jus, horseradish and a pickle a nice touch. It was tasty, also it's not a hot sandwich but the jus to dunk it in is tasty. Than we ordered some wings and we took half home. You can order all flats or drums for a $1.00 more I believe. We ordered the Medium Hot, they were meaty and tasty. Thing is maybe I should have gotten medium and another type. I think next time we will. I'd like to try other options it would be fun. When in upstate New York, you have to go to the most highly recommended sports bars for wings! This place was just that. Service was great whole place was very clean and music was at a lower level so people could talk and hear each other at the same table. Even though I got my wings cooked well done, they still came out in a pretty quick amount of time. I have to say that the wings were absolutely delicious. I got the Cajun dry rub that completely met my expectations. I ordered a side of fries that were also as good. They were crispy seasoned, hot and fresh and absolutely delicious. It was a really great meal to have when I got into this area. And something that stood out, more so than normal, their blue cheese dressing. It was honestly the best blue cheese dressing I have ever had in my life. When I get wings, I usually get ranch dressing, but they had mentioned that their blue cheese was homemade so that's why I got it and I am sure glad I did. The wings were large, cooked perfectly and arranged beautifully on the plate. The sauce however had a slight sweetness to it. We were visiting from New Hampshire and were seeking classic buffalo wings, we weren't interested in someone's "tweaked interpretation" of buffalo sauce. The addition of the medium hot sauce helped. Buffalonian here to tell you that this place is legit. It is up to par with Bar Bill in East Aurora which I was not expecting! This is officially the only place I will eat wings in Roc. Wings came out very crispy, cooked to perfection. Blue cheese is GREAT. Order the medium wings with the bar bill house lager, you won't be disappointed. We also tried the fries, not sure I would do the gravy again, I'll be saving that for Duffs - you just can't match their gravy/fries. BUT the wings here are unmatched in Rochester. No question. It lived up to my very high expectations. Also the outdoor seating is PRIME with the TVs. There's lots of indoor seating as well. Both good. The beef on weck was solid as well, but I'd prefer they dip the meat instead of putting au jus on the side- that's just a personal preference. Horseradish that came with it was good - potent. Lots of choices in fries, beer battered was the clear winner. The fried cheese curds were good but I don't think we'd order them again. My friend and I stopped in to Bar Bill on a rainy Saturday around 4:30 PM. Was told to expect a wait - so we were prepared when we were told we were #24 on the wait list (they take your cell number to text when a table is ready). There is a decent sized bar area to hang out and wait. We found 2 seats at the bar and stayed there. FYI- it was about 45 minutes wait until I got the text. But we ordered and ate at the bar. A woman we met said warned us that their hot sauce was "really hot" and suggested ordering medium sauce on the wings. We ordered medium/ and since they don't toss the wings in sauce like others- which can leave a lot of sauce and therefore add to the heat- they paint the wings with sauce so the medium tasted like medium heat. The wings were very crispy- which I like. I ordered 10 wings and my friend ordered the same along with an order of waffle sweet potato fries. All of the food was excellent- though we did order a side of the hot sauce for the wings- which WAS hot! I had the Bar Bill special IPA- made by K2 just down the road- tasty! Bar service was great. Your food is good but your takeout system is atrocious. The fact that I have to show up to the restaurant and place the order in person, wait for it at the bar, and then pack it up into to go boxes myself after you've plated it is so dumb. All because you won't allow people to call your restaurant and speak to a person. You're missing out on so much money. Just allow people to place orders over the phone or on your website instead of making people waste an hour of their night waiting for you to complete an order that we have to pack up ourselves. read more

Finally went to the new Rochester Bar Bill location on Empire Boulevard! Location has a ton of space with an upstairs, outdoor patio and bar area - along with a little store for merch! We ordered the wings of course- 10 medium & 10 Cajun! They were fire! So crispy, tasty and filled with flavor! They come with a side of homemade blue cheese- however I'm a ranch girl. Service was fast and the staff were super friendly. We went on a weekday for lunch- so it wasn't crowded. I was glad to be able to get to Bar Bill East the visiting Rochester this past weekend. They opened after I had stopped coming to the city as often as I used to after a change in my life circumstances. I was not disappointed. I have to admit I thought their wings were better than those I had at Bar Bill North. I am a traditional Buffalo Wing guy, but decided to also order the Cajun Honey BBQ because so many people rave about them. They were good, but plain and simple nothing beats a good Buffalo wing. Their wings are great. Close to the best in Rochester (I'd rate then #2). Their Hot wings actually are Hot. Not overwhelming but you will taste the heat on your lips. Their Beef on Deck is also very good. The roast beef and and horseradish are great. Their Kimmiweck Roll leaves a little bit to be desired. Not enough caraway seeds and salt. But when you are craving a good Beef on Week you will be happy with the quality.
