The catch was I live in a completely different state and needed someone who was patient, professional and someone I could trust. This company was all that and more throughout the entire process. I had a kitchen sink backing up and trap leaking. Left a message Thursday night, had a call back Friday morning and got an appointment Friday afternoon. It was a quick fix and very reasonably priced! I called at 4:00 p.m. on a weekday afternoon with an emergency. My basement floor drain and shower drain nearby were severely backing up due to roots from mature trees. Jimmy Rootor had someone out within 2 hours; even though it was last minute, in Arvada, and approaching the end of the day. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating. Excellent Service with reasonable prices!!! I dont think I'll ever try to fix something on my own. I had a bad Gas valve on my water heater that wasn't able to keep the flame up. Jim showed up and got it replaced in 15min even without draining the tank. What a professionalism!!! I'm glad to find these Guys. I cannot say not say enough good things about Jimmy Rooter. Luckily, I didn't have a problem or back up. I have a 90 year old house with original clay pipes, so I just wanted to have it cleaned and checked to be safe. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. I think it was around $85 then another $20 because the main sewer line is accessed through the toilet. That included the cleaning and video scope. Jimmy was so thorough and explained everything along the way. He pointed out other things about our house's plumbing that was just extra information. On another note, one time we used Roto Rooter for a backed up sewer line in another house. They hosed us for $515 (and it was a weekday, regular hours appointment). That same thing...just cleaning the line without a video where there was a partial block-- would have cost just over $100 if we went with Jimmy Rooter. read more

What a refreshing change to have found this company. Excellent service from the first telephone call to the actual service (sewer scope and cleaning if necessary for maintenance). In this day and age where you sometimes feel that everyone who provides service is going to upsell you or rip you off, this was an unbelievable change from all of that. You can tell that Jimmy and his family (it is a family owned and operated business) take pride in their work and that their customers are important. I would give these guys less than 1 star if I could. Jimmy and his sidekick showed up to our house and right off the bat my husband could tell they didn't really know what they were doing. Even though they should have taken the toilet off the base and gone from there they didn't want to because that would have been too much work. They went in from our roof and did a poor job of it because we ended up having to call them back 2 weeks later. They did the same piss poor job and now 1 week later when the same thing is happening we're going with real professionals (Roto Rooter). Not only was their work low quality but I felt uncomfortable letting them into my home and my husband said that they don't even have the proper tools to accomplish their job. Jimmy himself admitted that the tool he uses (the snake?) wasn't even long enough to reach the street. Our house is pretty small and vey close to the street. 10 Stars! I couldn't give Jimmy Rooter a high enough rating. As I said, I would give them 10 stars if possible. Marcie fit me in the day after I called - some places are scheduling 3 weeks out. Jim came out, quickly diagnosed the problem and got me as operational as possible until he could come back out. I was getting water running down in between the base floor and the hardwood (in our kitchen). Jim had had an identical problem with a similar faucet recently in his own house. Moen was sending out a new cartridge to be installed in the existing faucet. Jim said, get them to send you a new one because the leak is filling the faucet from the inside, running down and soaking the base floor and hardwood. He said, as long as the faucet is being used, let it drip (so it won't fill the faucet). When not being used, shut off the supply lines. He came out on a Thursday and said, get the new one sent out ASAP. We received the faucet on Saturday and Marcie scheduled Jim to come out on Sunday to install it. What a relief! #1. To know you can trust Jimmy Rooter, #2. At a reasonable price - that they quoted over the phone, and #3. At a remarkable customer service delivery that is extraordinary. I had about 4 or 5 other questions on different plumbing issues and he carefully explained all of them. We will definitely have Jimmy Rooter take care of our next problem and recommend them to all our friends. You can't do better! read more

I had a kitchen sink that wouldn't drain very well. This was just about a year after a similar experience with me calling a different company led to a complete sewer line repair when their drain cleaner got caught 9 feet deep under my house (well since you have to dig to get the cleaner out why don't we just replace the whole line which is falling apart but not in awful shape?). I was looking for a smaller company. I came across Jimmy Rooter and his rates sounded very reasonable. But I was afraid of there being a problem and his cleaner getting caught underneath my house in a 'crack' that was before where they replaced. I couldn't sleep the night before he was to come. When he (actually his son) came I joked about how I was afraid it would get caught and he showed me the head he would use on my line and explained how it was common for companies to use 'blades' on the snake for the express purpose of getting them stuck in the small cracks that develop in the old clay pipes. He assured me that using the right head would prevent this from happening. He snaked my line and ran water. It ran a bit better but still backed up. He went to his van and got a completely new line and ran it down again and this time it worked. The charge was very reasonable and as he left I thought about how I wished I had found him a year ago instead of a company in whose interests it was to manufacture a problem since they also happen to replace sewer lines. I highly recommend them - imagine a company who only cleans the drains and doesn't give BS. I hope I don't have to call a drain cleaner again, but if I do they will be my first call. read more

Well the saying, you get what you pay for. I thought that I was going to save money and time with Jimmy but the headache, first he broke the cleanout plug than tried to push it out to the main line, getting it stuck the next option was to get a camera to find out where it was in the line, keep in mind that this whole time I couldn't use my toilets, after finding the plug we found out that my sewer line ran under my porch, so I had a estatment done for fixing the problem and it was $2500, being that I know something about concrete I talked with Jimmy to save us both monies. Saturday was the earliest I could do this and Jimmy agreed to help and pay for all costs. I got a demosaw and a jackhammer and confirmed time with Jimmy for 9am Saturday which he agreed to, I started the demo and when I removed all concrete and dirt to expose the pipe I looked at the time and it was already 9:30am so I called Jimmy to see where he was and he told me that he was just getting started with a cup of coffee, I told him what I already had done and that I needed some replacement parts, he agreed to go get the materials needed for the job, well 11:30am he finally showed up, putting back together what I took apart all he could do was talk about how much money he spent on the material and that he should of got a less expensive material. After it was all put back together he bolted out of my house not asking if I needed help with the concrete or can I give you something for that just leave his mess even his gloves for me to clean up knowing all along that I have been without the use of my toilet for 4days and leave. I will never recommend him to anyone ever, saving money doesn't always mean that you save money. I lost time, use of my toilet, and money because I bought into "the cheepest in town ". Great, honest company. We had our sewer line scoped at inspection from another company that honestly should have done a better job. Jimmy (the son) came out 10 months later for preventive maintenance that I decided to schedule. Everything went exactly as quoted, and with great customer service. He took a lot of time to explain everything to me, and helped me understand and plan for what we would need to do to address the issues. Our home is over 60 years old, and has all the original clay plumbing. We knew coming into the purchase that we would need to do repairs at some point. For now, we have a clean sewer, and we will definitely be keeping up with maintenance through Jimmy Rooter. And I would trust him 100% to do repairs when the time comes. Whatever you do, do not use another company by the name of discount rooter - they are terrible! Oh, and Jimmy cleaned everything up impeccably before leaving. read more
