I had already visited another Italian "grocery & deli" in the area, but it was mostly focused on sandwiches and only carried a very limited selection of deli meats. After striking out there, I started calling around to a few Italian grocers, and DeFalco's immediately stood out. When I called, they confirmed they sold sliced pepperoni, so I made the trip over. One of the first things I noticed was how busy the place was, which is usually a good sign! Despite the crowd, the staff was incredibly friendly and eager to help. When I verified that they had sliced pepperoni available, the employee immediately went into the back and brought out a fresh pound for me. What really surprised me was the price. I've been to other Italian delis where a half-pound of pepperoni cost more than what I paid for a full pound at DeFalco's. The value was outstanding, and the quality was even better. That night, I used the pepperoni on homemade pizzas, and it was absolutely delicious. You can tell you're getting the real deal. Between the friendly service, great prices, and high-quality products, DeFalco's has earned a repeat customer. I'll definitely be coming back for more pepperoni and look forward to exploring everything else they have to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Italian deli experience!

And yes of course I tipped, throwing three bucks in the jar. She told me I could get it without the bread bowl next time. What are you paying $20 for?

Although it is no longer on the menu, my favorite sandwich is the Steph Curry One, which features turkey, provolone cheese, and yellow BBQ sauce. I found out that even if something is not on the menu, they can still make it for you if you remember the combination. Some other sandwiches I like are the Hunter Pence and the Steve Nash. The service is friendly, and they are more than happy to offer suggestions on what sandwich to choose, as they have an excellent selection of sandwiches. I also like the atmosphere. It is nice and colorful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your food. Ike's is also a great place to go if you need to eat on the run. Once, I had to take my sandwich to go. Upon ordering it, they had it ready with plenty of time to spare. I also like that they have a rewards program. I highly recommend Ike's Love and Sandwiches to anyone who is looking for a great sandwich on Mill Avenue.

The location is one of the better ones as there's good natural lighting out the eastern windows and they have ample seating inside and a larger patio with tables on the east, SE and south side of the building...so you can normally find share or sun pending your preference. The subs here are above average. They have steamers for their meats and cheeses so they melt together and have enhanced flavor. The bread is average and sometimes will be under toasted or over toasted. They have the standard add-on toppings, and also have a hot sauce bar with different brands and Scoville levels of sauce. For drink selections, they have a large Coke Freestyle machine, but they more often than not have some or all the flavorings out of stock. What's the point of this machine if there's no vanilla peach Coke? They brew their own unsweet and sweet tea as well. She does it all at once, with no tips. For months I assumed she was the owner's wife because of how invested she is. When I found out she isn't, it only made me more impressed. All the regulars know her name. Someone with her work ethic and genuine pride in the guest experience is on another level and I hope Corporate sees her.
