Where we lived we don't have a JJ's so when I saw one when we were visiting Seattle I just had to have it because I have always loved their sandwiches. We'd already eaten so I got a sub to snack on later. We got the Italian and a whole pickle. If you've been to JJ's you know they are known for quick service and it was quick. The sandwich was done before I finished paying. We ended up eating it at the Waterfront and it was just as I remember. The bread was nice and chewy and the filling was good. If I could give them no stars I would!!! Never have I ever been scolded by employees of a restaurant for ordering too large of an order and not giving them enough time to prepare the food. Food: Too scared to eat it because of the way the employees acted. Service: Horrible!!! Our office placed a Grubhub pickup order. We all placed our group order and I submitted the order. Grubhub sent a text with the time to pick up the order. We technically arrived 15 minutes after the last time frame given. When we arrived I checked in since we were late and they are freaky fast the larger orders are usually at the end of the counter. We were created with a comment that we should give them more time next time. We are working your order in with the other orders...ok, we took a seat at the table. We continued to get the side eye and comments under their breath. 30 plus minutes later, so over 45 minutes after we should have received our order my name is called. I go out to the counter about to say thank you...and I receive another comment about how we need to give them more time. When I say I received the time confirmation from grubhub one of the employees called me a liar as I walked out of the store! Ambiance: Crappy due to the attitude of the staff working today. The two ladies were awful. There was a guy silently working making sandwiches. I feel bad for him having to work with them. Tip: Don't place a large order (8) sandwiches and expect them to be ready in less than an hour. Better to support a different small business than this establishment. Ample indoor seating ans staff is nice and polite! Recommend placing an order through their app for Freaky fast jimmy John rewards and pickup in store if that works! They usually take 10-15mins to keep the sandwich ready! Parking outside this location can be a pain! But usually since we place a pickup order we rush in and out of this store pretty quick! Hey there, just giving a warning to anybody's using the Jimmy John's app for delivery. Despite being told my lunch was delivered I was unable to find it. I am in an office building and gave the floor for delivery. Usually not a problem. But today I found out despite using the JJ app as always my food was being delivered by either Uber eats or DoorDash and when you can't find your food, JJ tells you to call one of two numbers to try and find it. After being left on hold, I have given up. I will be deleting the Jimmy John's app. read more

It's cool that they're open during this pandemic, but there are numerous issues. - 5 staff working in close proximity, seems dangerous to the staff - the half sub is $9 now, the big is $16 so you might as well walk around the corner, go to Tats and get a real sandwich for about the same price - no more frenchies, that's a bummer (this doesn't impact my rating, but it sucks) - Worst of all look at this photo, I just paid 9 bucks for this flat turd, it tastes okay but it looks like someone drove over the bread and the volume of toppings seems lacking Do better JJ. I'm so torn with this review. I stopped in to this location recently and was disappointed in the overall experience. There were only two people working at the restaurant during a busy lunch hour. The two employees were moving quickly and doing a great job but it was too much for only the two of them. The line was long and moved slowly, with only one person making sandwiches. Additionally, the bread of my sandwich was stale. Willing to give this location another try because the workers were so nice but I wish they were better set up to succeed (i.e. fresh ingredients and more staff). read more

He finally decided to make the person's sub in front of me. After that he looked at the counter for a few more mins then walked into the back area. No kidding! I come here quite often for lunch mainly out of default when I want something fast that also has indoor seating. For the most part, they do a decent job, but I do have a few gripes. Gripe #1 - you can't add yellow mustard to your sandwich? Really, is it that hard to do a quick squirt of mustard? Also, why can't you just cut all the sandwiches in half rather than needing to request it? Gripe#2 - Inconsistency. Sometimes there's almost no lettuce on my sandwich and sometimes there is a ton. Same with tuna - sometimes a little sometimes a lot. On occasion, the tuna is like all splat in the middle of the sandwich rather than spread out, so you don't even get tuna with each bite. Gripe #3 - Missing items. I have come to enjoy their sandwiches sometimes with a side of Kickin' Ranch. However, EVERY single time I have ordered it, I have to ask them for it because they didn't notice it on the receipt. To sum up, this is a decent place to go for a quick lunch, but it's not the most amazing lunch you'll have in Pioneer Square. read more

This store is in a great location but has the worst service. I can here today with my mom. The young man taking my mom's order was wearing sweatpants, a backpack, and helmet. I had asked him if he had just gotten into work but he said he was just hot. He was incredibly rude and I felt terrible for the young lady working the shift with him. I like the Turkey Avocado (Beach Club) and the Italian, especially as a lettuce wrap. Seems blasphemous, but trust--if you're cutting carbs, that ish on lettuce will hit the spot. But it's also great on their regular bread. When they say delivery is fast, they mean it. I feel like I get my orders in less than 10 minutes. Coming into this place, you expect another Subway, Quizno's, or sandwich shop style atmosphere. Well, you do get that feeling with the slight notion of a better business model being applied. The sandwich was ready in 10 seconds! I ordered, turned my head, thought about the global hunger issue in Botswana, and there was my sandwich! Amazing! It was a good Beach Club sandwich, with soft bread that was easy to bite into and chew on. However, it wasn't as soft as a Subway sandwich bread, that falls apart in your mouth. It held together with a good, but simple taste altogether. I recommend this place for a quick stop over, or lunch. They didn't make an effort to overload the sandwich or try to stuff you. The pricing for a sandwich shop attempted to be most, but was slightly higher than other chains. If you are trying to avoid buying from bigger businesses or need to grab some quick healthy grub, these guys would be the place to go to. I always get great service when I patronize this location and is as good as any great sandwich shop of it's kind. I love the Gargantuan which I share since it's so huge! I always ask for a custom made sandwich (e.g., extra this, less of that, light on mayo...) and I get exactly what I asked for with a pleasant demeanor! I especially appreciated the great service I received recently from Tachela (note: I had to call back to ask for her name and spelling) since she went out of her way to ensure my order was right with all of my little requests, and she did it with a great smile and patience! She represents the JJ Brand well and should be commended cause it's the little things that people notice and appreciate! She made my day! I also want to recognize the manager, Henry, who went out of his way to be extra helpful and accommodating to me regarding issues with my coupon that had to be processed manually. He was very approachable and considerate! I can tell why the team shows pride in their work since they have a great manager! I'm a regular so when I walk in I go straight to the register. No dillydallying. No gawking at the menu. I have 2 reasons why I come here: 1) I like sandwiches 2) I like quick service Here's what the service is like: The people at the register greet you when you walk in. After you state your order the preppers start your sandwich. They may also ask if you want a pickle. You make your payment then you move away from the register. They will let you know when your sandwich is ready. Here's a little tidbit about the pickle--The first time I came here they asked me if I wanted a pickle I said, "Yes." Little did I know that it wasn't pickle slices they put on the sandwich. When I saw it my eyes bulged with confusion and fascination. It was a single giant pickle they wrap up separately from the sandwich. I usually pick a table near the window so I can people watch. A weird thing the employees do is they say "goodbye" to the customers after they walk out the door and are 4 steps out onto the sidewalk. I don't really like sandwiches. With the exception of Paseo, and now Jimmy John's, I've always considered sandwiches to be extremely BORING "white people" food (no offense guys!). But I'm pretty sure I had the BEST TUNA SANDWICH of my entire life here. I wasn't really that hungry, but once I took the first bite, I don't think I even came up for air until that sandwich was devoured. I can't quite put my finger on what made it so tasty--some secret sauce they put in it that puts all other tuna sandwiches to shame! It didn't hurt that they pile a crapload of veggies on top for free. I got mine with lettuce, onion, cucumber, tomato, and sprouts. And the best part is that it's under $5. I loved this sandwich so much I went to the one in the U District the very next day! Don't forget to top off your meal with Jimmy John's own chips. After having visited an actual restaurant I'm amazed at the quality and prices. Fresh ingredients and breads served to you faster than you can pay for your lunch. 8" subs go for 4.85 while the giant club sandwiches on sub or thick slices go for 5.85! You can go for a simple 'plain slims' sandwich which consists of a sub roll and just the meat and nothing else for 3.85! What a steal. Meh. You can have too much of a good thing, especially when it's things like 'fast' and 'cheap'. It's super fast because there's very little going on, sandwich wise. The subs are cheap because the ingredients are cheap. It takes special care to make subway seem like quality. (there's one around the corner, btw). The atmosphere is not so great either. Super fast service and good sandwiches are the hallmarks of Jimmy John's and this Pioneer Square location does a great job at meeting those standards. There's a large selection of sandwiches to choose from, but I keep going back to the "LuLu' which is a turkey, bacon club with provolone and I have them add some oregano as well. You can get your sandwich as a classic club, on 7-grain wheat bread for a more traditional home style sandwich, or as a lettuce wrap style sandwich. The pricing is about what you would expect and the service is always fast and friendly. Have never had a bad experience here. read more

I've ordered my usual (#9, Italian Night Club) a few times and they show up via bike delivery FAST ...
