This is the SLOWEST JJ around. Every single time I go in it takes 10-15 min to make the sandwich. Freaky fast? More like stupidly slow!

I came to this location today to pick up my "freaky fast" lunch order for my kids and I. This is not the first time I have purchased food from this location and it wont be the last. I ordered online via my Jimmy Johns account and picked up in store. I ordered and arrived at the sandwich shop within 11 minutes of my order. When I arrived, the ordered was ready. Upon arrival, I went in to get the sandwiches and my order was at the door on a rack. I haven't been here since pre lock-down so I wasn't aware that this rack was in place for pick-up. The staff was friendly and every employee was wearing masks and gloves. My Vito sandwich was just as I expected. For all the negative reviews about this place and the strict enforcement of the mask policy, please remember it's a sandwich shop folks, it's not fine dining and you get what you pay for. read more

No diaper changing tables available and not so friendly staff. We used to come to this place all the time on the way out of town because they are super fast at making your order and it is right off the highway. But now with changes in our family dynamic and the absence of a changing table, this place isn't our number one pick anymore. Plenty of parking and easy in and out access. read more

Every time I place an order, it takes over an hour to receive my order. Today, for example, I placed an order at 1137 and received the order at 12:45. It wouldn't be as bad if the online tracker actually works. The tracker said my order was out for delivery at 12:05 (ish?), so I went to wait. The tracker changed to delivered. At 12:18, I called, but I didn't get through for 3 calls. Finally, I talked to someone who said the tracker glitches when they leave the store. If that's the case, the order left the store at 12:18 and I still didn't receive it until 12:45. (For context, it's 5 mins away.) After a full hour, I finally called , and it took 15 tries for someone to answer the phone. About 2 different times, someone answered the phone, "Hello?" I didn't realize in 2024 that we don't have any manners or customer service. A girl answered, "jimmy johns!" I asked for them to cancel my order because I had been waiting 30 minutes downstairs already. My LUNCH break is over. The girl said, "When Paula gets there, just tell her you canceled it." Oh, so I'm supposed to wait down there longer to tell her to cancel it. I said no. And while the girl was nice when I was upset, she slammed the phone down when ending the call. Paula called me anyways and I went down to get it. She told me it's short staffed. Paula was nice, I told them I canceled it, but the man on the phone said to keep it. Well, thanks. Unfortunately, I have patients to see and can't eat for another 4 hours, so this is useless to me. This isn't the first time I've been told they are short staffed. And unless I order my food 2 hours in advance, I won't ever get my food in time for my lunch break. Which is crazy when it's a sandwich shop, and "freaky fast." More like "freakishly slow." I won't be ordering or eating here ever again. After several chances and nothing is changing.... and the way they answered the phone just threw me off so much. I understand lots of things changed since covid but if I wanted to wait an hour+ for my lunch, it wouldn't be jimmy johns. Do better. read more

Placed and online order today for two original combos - got home and realized it was wrong. Called the shop to let them know and didn't even get an apology for the mistake - just a "so did you want us to do anything about it or are you just tell ing us" - Just telling you man, because it's the third time an order from this location has been messed up. There's an unhappy kid who's getting tuna in their order as I sit here eating their plain turkey little John. Sad that you can have four people working, no one in line, get an order wrong, and then act like it's no big thing. Ah to not care. Glad I'm not the owner. read more

While I like their sandwiches their delivery service is seriously lacking. The employees are apologetic when you check in on your order. Freak fast has turned into over 30 minutes for a location 6 miles always. A recommendation would be to put excepted delivery time so if there is a shortage of staff the customer would have the knowledge when ordering it would not be a day JJ's could live up to their service claims. read more

This location used to be very dependable but lately it's anything but "freaky fast". Today's effort took about an hour and a half to receive. The avg has been about 45 minutes to an hour recently so congrats on a new high score. I get it, coronavirus and a busy neighborhood but how about a heads up that some meat slopped in some bread takes 90 minutes. I wouldn't have ordered or I would have cancelled but I suppose that's the trick. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by such a shady business practice from a company started by a man who shoots elephants to make up for his.. shortcomings. I've been going to this location for the past decade, I've loved Jimmy John's and their sandwiches are still high quality. This location could be 5 stars if they would live up to their freaky fast slogan. It used to be you would walk in, order, and after you fill your drink your sandwich is ready. Fantastic, genuinely freaky fast and still amazing quality. Now, even when I order ahead, I have to wait around 10-15 minutes even after it's been 15 minutes since I ordered. People come in, out in their orders, and you can clearly watch as the workers prioritize the orders made on the spot over the mobile orders. And there isn't a comfortable spot to wait inside when the weather is bad for my mobile order, awkwardly standing next to a table with a seated family as I wait for my sandwiches. I wouldn't care as much if there wasn't an emphasis on speedy service. I expect food orders at other places to take a half hour, that's why I order ahead. The speed has just been consistently disappointing the past couple months. I'm still gonna eat here, the sandwiches are worth the wait (and the new pasta salad is bomb!!) but even when there's a line full of Jimmy John's employees, it's been taking way longer than it used to in order to get my food. read more

Service was horrible, the guy that took my order was wearing sunglasses and was not very personable. The staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there, and while I was waiting the cashier was very rude to the next customer. Definitely get what you pay for and that's bad food and bad service. Store wAs clean, staff wAs friendly. I got the JJBLT, BBQ Chips aand a soda. The sandwich was just ok. The bacon was cold and not reheated, so it was rubbery. The lettuce is shaved iceberg, and I actually like that. The tomato is a typical out of season flavorless topping. The topping choices seem to be lacking. No banana peppers, jalapeños, black olives, bell pepper. I was not offered a choice fo toast my bread, it was cold and flat. I asked fIr extra lettuce, I dont think I got it. The chips were BBQ flavored and either overcooked or stale. I would come back if I needed to, but otherwise I think I can find better sandwiches elsewhere. Price Gouging for Delivery during Covid: I've ordered from this location for a while now, but they have recently jacked up their delivery fee by over 200%. They now charge a $1.75 *per sandwich* delivery fee. That's per any sandwich, so if you order the 6.5" Lil John (for $3.00) you are paying a delivery fee of 58%. But if you order the 16" giant sandwiches (for about $13.50) it's still $1.75 for that item - only a 13% delivery fee. I ordered 4 Lil Johns ($15.00 total pre-tax) and had a $7.00 delivery fee. A delivery fee of 45%! It's literally cheaper to order it through a 3rd party delivery service - like DoorDash. Clearly this new policy has nothing to do with delivery - since it's the same distance to my house either way. But is instead a means to increase their own profits by capitalizing on the increased demand for food delivery. Especially given the current circumstances where people are more likely to buy multiple sandwiches for multiple meals since sandwiches keep well. Frankly, this is disgusting behavior from Jimmy John's and this was the last time I order delivery from this overtly greedy company. Note: I last ordered delivery on June 17 for 4 sandwiches and paid only $3.00 for delivery. So back then it appears they were only charging $0.75 per sandwich for delivery. read more

Worst sandwich shop experience ever. #1 We asked for nutritional information to make healthy eating choices and were told they didn't have it there but it was listed on the website. This is a sandwich shop, where presumably people go to try to eat healthier sometimes. That information readily available would have been helpful. #2 No choices of bread. You can have white, or white. #3 They cannot / will not warm up your sandwich. Sure, Quiznos, Subway, Which Wich, Froots, etc. will warm up your sandwich, but Jimmy John's doesn't even possess a microwave to offer that as an option. #4 I went and asked for extra mustard for my sandwich. The guy put two small dollops in the cup so I asked if I could have a little more. He said "Oh, well we have no way to spread this" and he put the lid on and handed it to me. What??? I can't have more because you have no utensil to offer me to put more mustard on my sandwich? #5 Our food was gross. My friend's tuna sub tasted nasty and I didn't even finish my turkey sub. Freaky Fast Delivery! Ordering a sandwich that is halfway healthy, and having it delivered, when you forgot to pack lunch, is when I use Jimmy Johns. I've never ordered a sammich I didn't like. Everything came fresh, it wasn't soggy, and they even deliver fountain drinks. Not Bad. read more

$5.75 gets fresh baked bread, fresh sliced meats, fresh toppings. No creepy trays with unknown meats that come in ziplock baggies. I go for the #9 Everytime. It is the quintessential Italian sub. I recommend adding the hot peppers (cherry peppers, not jalapeño). My hubby subs the mayo for Grey Puppon. You can add sprouts too. Why not 4 stars? I wish they had hot subs like Philly steaks. I also would like sweet tea. But it's clean, consistent and delicious. Plus, the guys behind the counter are awesome. read more

So damn good!!! Last week was the 1st time I had JJ's in about 5 years.. and it was a free sammy, so it was even better. But as a post-Jasons Deli visit, I was thinking "WHY have I been sleeping on JJ's!!?" ... So today I went and got the Beach Club, no maters, and DELICIOUS it was!! Bread, 7 grain, was awesome and soft, and just the right amount of everything IN the bread. AND to see they "deliver just one sandwich", means they'll be a lunch regular @ work. Score. read more

I'm a big fan of Jimmy John's in general. Great sandwiches. However this particular location is a bit stingy on the added avocado. For $0.80 extra I expect to actually be able to tell there is added avocado. Instead of nice chunks or slices I get a barely perceptible 1/2 teaspoon of faintly green spread. I had to look 3 times to confirm if was even there. Not worth the money for this add-on or someone needs retraining at this location. Other than that this chain always impresses me. read more

Freaky slow delivery! I rarely order from Jimmy Johns, but when I am in a bind, I sometimes have to resort to a quick fix. This is the second time that my order has taken nearly an hour to arrive. Today, I called to check on the status of my order and the employee who answered refused to give a time estimate on when my order would be arriving. When I asked to simply cancel my order since it has been 49 minutes since the order was placed, he had to put me on hold to have a conversation with the manager and made a big fuss about cancelling. The food is typical, but definitely not worth the wait. I should also note that I placed my order around 1:15pm - after the general lunch rush and my office is only about 5 minutes from this Jimmy John's location. Now, I get to put things on hold this afternoon to run out for 'lunch', which I imagine will still be faster than continuing to wait on Jimmy Johns. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love Jimmy Johns. The food is always consistent. However, every time I order from this location for delivery, it isn't freaky fast. Maybe it is because I've lived in central IL where JJ's HQ is, and the delivery is super fast there, but waiting 55 minutes from the time the confirmation email comes through to when the one sandwich I ordered arrives at my doorstep is crazy. The quickest I have gotten an order is 25 minutes. It is not the driver's fault but I believe it is definitely a staffing issue. read more

I went there with my family (on 12/31 around evening time) and we were the only customers there. Out of the blue one of the workers big fat black guy, short curly black hair with glasses started to screaming and shouting extremely loud, and started singing for a good minute or so to the point that it was ear piercing loud. At first I thought there was a fight between workers. It was very unprofessional and unnecessary, and the guy should of been fired just for doing that. I wanted to come up to him and punch him in the face for ruining our dining experience. I hope his manager or HR reads this and takes disciplinary action. We will never come back to this location after this incident. read more
