I had…read morethe buffalo chicken sandwich in their lettuce wrap (they didn't have a gluten free bread or wrap option), and my husband had the chicken salad sandwich. We both loved our sandwiches. The icing on the cake was the service. Every employee was smiling in the middle of a busy lunch rush, and when our toddler ran up to the counter pointing at the cookies, they gave him one! Literally can't wait to come back.

So let me start this review by saying I have never been a huge fan of Pickleman's. I only ever had…read morethem catered in to work events and they were very lackluster, basic sandwiches. However, when I tried them for myself outside of catering, I actually was semi pleasantly surprised with the options on offer. Yes, they do have those basic sandwiches that were catered in (if you like that, I mean) - but they also have a lot of other items you can add onto sandwiches when you order for yourself. I tried the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich, and added mayo and black olives, and removed the onions. It was actually pretty delicious, but still kind of basic when compared to other sandwich shops in town (Potbelly is my favorite of the similar ones to Pickleman's) I also ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese (I know, more pulled pork??). It was alright, but was cold when I got it home, so maybe the container they put it in doesn't retain heat so well. Basic Mac and cheese with a tiny bit of pulled pork on top and bbq sauce. If you couldn't tell, I ordered a few side things in case the sandwich was gross. I also grabbed the Broccoli Cheese soup. Now, when it comes to broccoli cheese soups, the one I measure them all against is the Panera one that comes in a bread bowl. And this was nothing compared to that. Kind of bland and also cold. Now I know you're saying "couldn't you just heat up these cold items?" And to that I say "I shouldn't have to do that, when I literally live a block from the store!" The one bright spot was that the cookies I ordered I ordered were actually pretty good - soft, flavorful, and pretty inexpensive. I would get those again, but not much else from Pickleman's.

Owned by a trio of dedicated foodies, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations, and their attention to detail shows. The quality of food, the attentive service, and the fastidiously clean and modern interior makes for a welcoming cozy atmosphere. Vote voted best of Omaha 2025 all I can say is they truly deserve it! Located just north of Dodge at 108th St., the restaurant is conveniently situated with a large parking lot and plenty of space for easy access. The restaurant takes reservations, but I had no challenge arriving mid afternoon for my first visit. I was pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. I was presented a fabulous menu plus specials, which made a hard decision even harder. Offering New England fare, I cannot recall since my childhood on the East Coast, where I saw clam strips on the menu, let alone freshly prepared on site. Cooked to perfection and offering a delightful twist, as the clam strips were served with traditional tartar and Chinese sweet-and-sour sauce. I was offered a complementary taste of their cornbread, prepared by the in-house pastry chef, which was by far the best cornbread I've ever enjoyed. The Portuguese fish stew offered a fabulous Bouillabaisse with plenty of muscles, shrimp, and clams as well as chorizo to fill me up! A full bar, plenty of beers on tap, and a lovely wine list offers great pairings with all the menu items. With their anniversary celebration, there will be specials offered, keep your eyes peeled on their website for menu items and wine offerings through the end of the month. I cannot say enough about this restaurant other than I will be back! I encourage you to check out the best of Omaha, or simply the best, at the Sand Point ASAP!

We've been customers of Jimmy John's for many years. We're one of the top customers for the 114th St location, by volume of orders. Placed delivery order tonight at 6:23 PM. No delivery for an hour. We called at 7:20 PM and asked for status. Was told by Jesse (Manager for the evening; and has the professional demeanor of a slug) they're down to one driver and that he was on way back to collect order and we'd be first delivery--Lie # 1. We called back at 7:49 and spoke with Jesse again. Wanted a status and a full refund. He said he would void the order then. Hello, we still wanted the food; the refund would be a good will gesture to appease the customer, since we're one of their top customers. He can't give us the food and refund our money--he said it doesn't work like that. We asked that he have his boss call us on Monday to discuss the refund. Was told the driver was on his way with 5 other orders--Lie# 2. At 8:20-still no order--called Jesse again. He cancelled our order and had driver return our food. We said we never cancelled the order. He said we wanted a refund so order voided. We asked if he knew the difference between a refund and a void? He sloughed off the question like he did. He abruptly hung up on us. We called back. We said we still wanted the food. We asked was driver there. He said 'yeah'--we asked could he deliver our food now? He said 'yeah', said we'd get original sandwiches the remade sandwiches (something they did on their own) and it would be free since order had been voided. A 3 year old having a meltdown had better customer service skills than Jesse--how did they hire this guy (desperation?). 8:37 -driver (Gary--Garrell?) goes to wrong house. I yell for him to come to correct house (which he'd been at before). He says here you go. No apology. I said we won't be ordering from JJ anymore. He said he was only 2 blocks from our house (during the 2nd delivery attempt I guess?) when we cancelled our order. I lost it, I said we never cancelled the order. I said Jesse cancelled the order because he doesn't know the difference between a refund and a void--that's stupidity. He just waved his hand and walked away like whatever. If I could give a negative number for this review, I would. Pathetic customer service; uneducated and unprofessional staff. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!! Update: 4/1/2025-Never got a call from the manager (Corey), which means either the manager (Corey) doesn't care about conserving business or Jesse decided not to provide our contact info to Corey; again lying to us. And here's the kicker: Jesse had told us since he had voided order, that the food would end up being free (not by any goodwill measure), but the motherf***ers went ahead and charged our account after all. What a bunch of slimy, unprofessional, uncommunicative losers!! read more

Since the salad was prepackaged, the chicken on top was cold. I wasn't expecting this, as I had ordered an extra chicken breast on top, which was hot! This was not a big deal, but unexpected. The solid tasted great! It was well mixed with plenty of apples aside from just the lettuce. There was a good amount of chicken on top, I probably didn't need a second piece! I was a bit surprised that this salad with extra chicken came out to about $17. This is a similar amount I would pay at a dine in restaurant, so it was a bit high in my opinion. All joking aside, I had not visited Jersey Mike's in the past, because I am a very big sauce girl and had seen that Jersey Mike's has no sauces. They have mayonnaise and olive oil and vinegar, etc. That is the extent of their sauce game. And they have no toppings aside from tomatoes and onions and simple things like that. Not a sandwich place after my heart, I must say. I am a Potbelly or Subway girl for the above reasons. Mama's Meatball at Potbelly - yummmm! And that Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki at Subway - I would eat it even knowing there's yoga mat in the bread. Jersey Mike's does have a nice vibe going in their shop, kind of like you're at a baseball game or something with the red, white, and blue color palette. But then there are pictures of beaches and things, so that was a little confusing. I got the Turkey Provolone sandwich to try for my first (and last) visit. I don't like tomatoes or onions, but they did have black olives, so I added those. They have no sauces, as I said, except mayo, so that's what I ordered and I got a LOT of it since it was the only "moisturizing" aspect of this dry turkey sandwich. Even with the onslaught of mayo that I added to this sandwich, it was still somehow very dry in the end. I think it's because they put WAY too much meat on the sandwich (which is hand cut on a slicer, and I do appreciate that). But the absurd amount of meat just soaked up all the toppings and made it dry and unappetizing. My husband got the tuna salad sandwich, and that was actually pretty good (he gave me half of his since I didn't like mine at all). It did have some flavor and wasn't super dry like mine. So because his sandwich was good, I am upgrading my review from a two star to a three. Overall, I would say to skip Jersey Mike's if you're not a fan of pretty basic/bland sandwiches. If you are a fan of those, then Jersey Mike's might be for you, and that's ok.
