The food came pretty quickly and it was pretty damn good for gas station food. But that's what Wawa is known for, their damn good food. You either love them or you hate them but you know what you're getting going in. Now, going back to the self service, while I liked the ordering, there are other issues that maybe you wouldn't think of with this model. With everyone working behind the counter, anything beyond that area gets overlooked. The tables are not clean. The ketchup dispenser doesn't work. The paper towel dispenser in the restroom is broken, and the room itself needs a better cleaning. I say all that so that you know what to expect going in. It's self service but that extends beyond the kiosks. But I still liked the burger, even with the cold bun. And, if you shop at Sam's, you can get a $50 gift card for $37.50. That's good math. The sad part is that they can be better. They should be better. I'd love to give the place five stars. But even at three I'll probably come back. The employees just need a paradigm shift. I don't even think that they knowingly avoid the area beyond the counter. But they do, and that area is part of the overall experience. Simple fix.
