Ordered a BLT, it's average. Comparable to Jersey Mike and Subway. Will have to try again in the future to see if possibly they excel at other sandwiches. The location is clean, it's new so that's what's to be expected. Customer service could be improved. A smile goes a long way. read more

I work just about a half mile away and order from this location all the time. My food consistently arrives quickly, and specified to my order. There are occasional mixups and drinks can be kind of messy which is why they don't get a 5 star, but I have had many more positive experiences than negative. I order online and am easily able to customize my sandwich. I like the Turkey Tom or the Beach Club. The French bread is their specialty, but the wheat bread is good as well (just expect your sandwich to be smaller). read more

Can you say jimmy johns 10 times fast?! Well guess what? Not fast enough because your sandwich was already made. That's one thing I love about JJ, they are quick!!! Super convenient for this fast paced life style we live. Fortunately for me, I had time because I had a 2 hour lunch break from jury duty, which gave me the opportunity to get to know the staff and analyze the interior of JJ. Chelsea and Samantha (I believe, the blonde and brunette) did an amazing job making my #6. I swear I've never had such a quality sandwich made to perfection. The bread was soft, the mayo complimented the bread, and the veggies were fresh as if they were picked from Uncle Tom's garden. If you are around the area, paying a parking ticket, at jury duty, or just exploring the beauty of DTLB, please take a quick bite at JJ! It won't disappoint. You can @ me if you are upset. read more

Jimmy John's - Sandwiches Near Me - Long Beach, California

I purchased a Turkey Tom with Cheese. The hoagie bun used to make my sandwich was stale. Not only was the bread stale, but it was also very smashed. I know I came into the store near closing, but I still expect to receive a fresh sandwich. The bread was so tough, I couldn't even finish the sandwich. On a positive note, the gentleman that took my order had good customer service. read more

The service at this location is awesome. The employees are always in the best mood, and they're lightening fast preparing the sandwiches. In my case, it's the Vito every time. Great food, fair price, outstanding service. read more

LOVE Jimmy John's best sandwich shop around! My favorite is the beach club in an unwich or the Turkey Tom! YUM! This location has the best, most friendly customer service and the environment has amazing energy - the owners aren't bad to look at either - so handsome ;) Keep it up!!! Glad to see this area booming! read more

I don't review places very often, but this place seemed worth the effort purely based on their customer service. I ordered the Vito with everything and all of the free add one and had asked for it to be delivered to my office tomorrow because a coworker and I had agreed to share one once she returned to the office. They accidentally delivered it today instead so I only ate half in hopes that it would keep well enough for her to try tomorrow. It was a good, but average sandwich - guess I should've asked for extra hot peppers instead of regular, but that's my fault. Great prices though and meat selection. The delivery guy was really nice and I made sure to add on a tip in addition to the one I had included on my online order even though they had delivered it the wrong day. BUT THEN! I get a call from a manager and speak to the owner and they apologize for the mix up and offer to deliver a new one to me tomorrow! My coworker no longer needs to eat a day old (probably soggy because tomatoes) sandwich! They were so darn nice about the whole thing. I will definitely be spreading the word! read more

This Specific Jimmy Johns has horrible service! First off, parking is impossible to find. Second, it costed $40 for 4 sandwiches which is crazy! And I am extremely allergic to eggs so on my sandwich I said NO SAUCE, and the worker put mayonnaise all over anyway. Also the employees are not very nice they have bad attitudes. I half to say I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with my service, it is so expensive, u might as well go eat at the ritz Carlton. read more

As a Midwesterner I'm very excited to have a Jimmy Johns again! I went this week and enjoyed a Pepe (ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a French style bread) and it was just as I remembered from my college days. Service was a little slow but that is to expected as they have just opened a few weeks ago and are still in training. Neat atmosphere and a neat patio outside to bask in the Long Beach sun. Great job guys and welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Jimmy John's - The Pepe! - Sandwiches Near Me - Long Beach, California

I find Jimmy Johns to just be "A OK." The sandwiches never blow me away, and they don't have a ton of meat unless you pay for extra. I order Jimmy Johns because it's convenient and a nice change from the normal work lunches. I enjoy the Italian nightclub with hot peppers, and the Beach club. I've heard rave reviews about the chips, but again I find them to just be OK. Two times now, this location has run out of French Bread at lunch time. And let's be honest, what percentage of people want it on sandwich bread or a lettuce instead of a roll when french bread isn't available? In my opinion, this is unacceptable. The first time, it took them 10 minutes before they called me to tell me they were out of french bread. They said it would be ready soon so I decided to wait. It ended up being an hour after I ordered that I received my food (it was delivery). I am very patient with this kind of thing and I'm not the type to yell at anyone about it, so I didn't make a fuss out of it and just figured "oh well, it's a one off mistake." I don't really expect this, but it would have been nice to receive some sort of compensation for the inconvenience, my coworker was pretty annoyed on my behalf that I had to pay anything after that, but again, I'm more understanding that it was just a mistake. Except, it happened again. The second time, it was my fault that it took a while for them to get hold of me to let me know about the bread situation. I do not have great cell phone service at my place of work, nor did I expect to receive any calls so it's not like I was looking, so I didn't see the missed calls for 20 minutes. They asked if I wanted to wait 10 minutes for French bread to be ready and I said yes, but I still didn't receive my order for another 40 minutes! The manager gave me free cookies, which I appreciated, but it's still pretty annoying. I said I was ok with the 10 minute delay, so I was hoping it would get to me no later than 30 minutes from when we spoke... but at that point it was now so long after I ordered that me and my coworkers were dying of hunger. Again, I was understanding and overly patient with the workers, because I understand that things like this happen sometimes and it can be beyond their control. The people that called were very kind and friendly, so I appreciated their service in that aspect. But for this to happen twice within a relatively short amount of time... I overall find it unacceptable for a sandwich place to continually run out of the bread that a majority of the customers get, and that on some occasions the bread alone won't be ready for 30+ mins (the original time they quoted me in the missed voicemail). This all from a company that prides itself on quick delivery seems a little backwards to me. Edit: their comment mentions Monday, but this happened on Saturday, so it must have happened again! read more

customer appreciation day was on the second of may and i was NOT gonna pass up $1 subs! so my boyfriend and i head over to jimmy john's and as expected, there was a line going straight out of the door. we fell in line and it wasn't bad as expected--we got our sandwiches pretty quickly despite the flood of people waiting to get a sandwich! we were pretty hungry so we fell in line again to order some more sandwiches... and some more, and some more, and some more. we made rounds until closing and in total we bought 18 sandwiches... lol. so we bring them home and my boyfriend ate about nine sandwiches, i ate about six, and my mom ate three sandwiches. everything about this felt pretty satisfactory--except for the fact that jimmy john's gave me and my family food poisoning! all day yesterday my stomach was feeling feverish and i was vomiting all day. my boyfriend has been doing the same, and it's so weird since he's actually got a strong stomach. my mom had just started vomiting this afternoon and once she started to vomit, it started to hit me that jimmy john's must've been the culprit. so if you happened to stop by jimmy john's during customer appreciation day and are feeling a little under the weather, you probably got food poisoning like i did. i was highly anticipating another one of these customer appreciation days things, but i guess $1 subs must come with a price, right? read more

This was a quick lunch as I just finished a long meeting in long beach. I was actually going to a restaurant a block away but they were closed. My first time and I was excited because I love deli sandwiches. Had the #3.. It was good but I wish it was heated. They don't do hot sandwiches here. Bummer. A little pricey for two sandwiches one drink and a water came to 20 bucks and some cents.... Ill be back again tho. read more

I finally got a chance to have a Jimmy Johns sandwich. $18 plus $2 tip for 15" submarine. A $20 sandwich! It 's better quality meat than Subway. We had an Italian submarine. bread was hard and only average. Good but overpriced. Subway at $6 is a Better value than JJ at $20. It's better but not 3 times better unless you have money to burn. At $20 I would've expected more meat and a better balance of cheese. read more

As an uber driver I patronize as well as refer/recommend lots of eating establishments. To start the service was super quick as I was the only one in line. The young man that took my order at the register did smile and even laughed as I ordered by saying " Yeah!" And with that he knew I wanted a "little john." I tried this sandwich about 2 weeks ago at a location in Riverside. It's $3 out the door, but is a smaller version of their regular sandwhich. It was amazingly delicious and filling. So, I had to have it again. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the sandwich at this location even though I ordered it exactly as I did in Riverside (turkey, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, oregano, light mayo, vinegar & olive oil). However, a young man lightly spreaded mayo on the bread and passed it to a young lady, who proceeded to add the turkey, pickles and tomatoes. It was what she did next that totally caught me off guard and shocked the heck out of me... She removed the two small pieces of "Roma tomato" and 4 small slices of pickle, stacked them on the cutting board, cut them in half and then added them back to my sandwich. She then added a FEW PIECES of onion and believe it or not, shredded lettuce. At that point I decided not to question the tomato and pickles (which was very weird) but did ask if I could have more lettuce. Of the tomato and pickles I thought "where they do that at???..." Jimmy johns on Broadway in LB obviously...If this is the training and suggestions of the management team and or owner, its a very bad look and in poor taste to skimp on or try to stretch vegetables that way. No Bueno!! My advice is don't waste your time or your money find another location to get your money's worth. read more

Subway, Jersey Mike, Quiznos, trust me, not all sandwiches are created alike. So after stirring up some trouble next store at the LBC courthouse, I wanted to find a nearby eatery. Luckily, Yelp guided me to this new joint and after reading fellow yelpers, I had to give it a shop. Walking in, I was greeted with big smiles, I had no idea what to order so I went with the italian night club. It was a solid blend of salami, capicola, ham, provolone all drizzled with a nice vinaigrette. I bit into it and I enjoyed how everything just meshed together on my palate. Unfortunately, the price is a little bit steep, around $8 for an 8 inch sub so it's on the same level as Jersey Mikes. The place had a few seats inside but outdoors is the place to be. It gets pretty packed here for lunch so I think you can just order over the phone and then pick it up instore to save you some time. I like how they make their own cookies and have their own brand of awesome chips. Overall, I enjoyed Jimmy John's. Is it better than Jersey Mikes? In my opinion, I think Jersey Mikes tastes a little bit better but to each his own. If you are craving for a sub, give JJ's a try! read more

At least one employee at our establishment orders from here at least once a day. Delivery has always been spot on, until today. Let me just start by saying, NORMALLY the delivery guy is here within 15-30 minutes, pretty fast for delivery (which is why we continue to order from here). The food is usually DROPPED OFF at the Information Desk located inside of our establishment, since it could be difficult for whoever ordered to come from their section of work, to pick up the food (in a timely manner) from the delivery guy himself. Today, for some reason.. don't know if they were just busy or what.. but waited for an hour for delivery. When calling and inquiring about the delivery, was told that the delivery guy did indeed come, couldn't get ahold of anyone, so HE LEFT! EVERY other time we order, we NEVER get a call from the delivery guy stating that the order has arrived, like i've said above, the order is usually just left at the Information Desk. & seeing as we're all employees who order from here, it is difficult to a.) leave our position to go grab the food & b.) to answer any phone calls from delivery guys. Called back and asked for a manager, got someone by the name of "Wes". Expressed my disappointment with the fact that the delivery guy just left, after we had been charged for our order already. He then apologized and said that he would send someone else back over to deliver the order we had been waiting for over an hour for. I instructed him to just leave the food at the Information Desk since it would be hard for anyone to answer the call. (to avoid any confusion again) Then got a call a little later from someone stating that they had been trying to call and reach the Information Desk. Seeing as we're in a call center, we had stated that we would have to put him on hold in order to get ahold of the person who made the order. He then hung up. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Called back yet again, and spoke to someone by the name of Austin. He stated that he was a manager with Wes. I informed him that i had just spoke with Wes and he was supposed to be resending our order. He then stated that Wes didn't really know what was going on with the order and that money was being refunded and no order was being resent. Which wouldn't have been that bad except the fact that we now had employees waiting longer than an hour for food that we THOUGHT was being delivered TWICE now. Austin then went on to argue with me about how they need a number that is a "direct line." and that the delivery guy waited 10 minutes. When also addressing the problem of being hung up on when we were trying to reach the person who ordered, Austin stated that he was the one who called and argued with me about the fact that he was hung up on. "Austin" claimed he was the manager, but manager's DO NOT argue with their customers. Clearly upset about the situation, they should have apologized, offered us a refund, & delivered our food, with a coupon for incentive to order again! I understand that mix ups happen all the time, and sometimes places don't have the best of communication, but really bugged me was the "manager's" unprofessionalism. Definitely won't be ordering daily from this place anymore. read more

I've ordered twice- once in person and once via delivery. Pros: 1) The sandwiches are delicious. As I was eating mine last night, I contemplated on why their sandwiches taste so much better than other fast-food sandwich restaurants. The only conclusion I came to is the quality of the ingredients and the bread. I am much more satisfied eating their sandwiches than those from the large sandwich franchises. 2) I love that they have sprouts as an option. 3) I live within their delivery radius, and it took LESS THAN 15 MINUTES from when I paid online to when the delivery guy showed up at my place. It takes about 5 minutes to bike over to my place, so in reality, it took less than 10 minutes to get it made and ready for delivery. Amazing. 4) The fact that they deliver is a huge plus for me; I tried to park nearby last night but there were no empty spots on Broadway or the adjacent streets. I gave up and decided on delivery. If I'm not on my bike, I'll only do delivery from now on. Cons: 1) I wish they had more meat options. This is not ready a con, though since I'd rather take top quality ingredients over more selection. Summary: It's now my go-to sandwich joint in Long Beach! read more
