Fast and good!! My personal favorite is the tuna unwich!!! This location does a great job of being really friendly! I'm not sure I've ever been disappointed at Jimmy John's, any location. They're very consistent, spot on with their sandwich creating abilities. With the high quality of ingredients they have, how could you miss. On weekends when I know we're staying in, I've often stopped in and purchased their day old bread for making our own sandwiches on Saturday lunch.

Smh and this is supposed to be a JJBLT with added avocado? Oh okay.

Not a fan of my sandwiches being made by a woman with swastika tattoos but at least she was friendly I guess.

We were driving through from Colorado back to Minnesota and did everything right: ordered online a full 30 minutes ahead so we could just swing in and pick up. We arrive, my sister (who also ordered ahead online) is already walking out with her food. My brother orders in-person right when we get there, and his sandwich--plus two other walk-in customers' orders--come out before ours even starts being made. We ended up waiting over another 30 minutes. More than an hour total from when we placed the order. What is the point of online ordering if the system doesn't hold your spot in line and just lets in-store orders and later arrivals jump ahead of you? It completely defeats the whole purpose. Still... those sandwiches really were exceptional. Almost worth the headache.

Ambience and customer service were just... there. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable. It's giving "get your order and go," which honestly works if the food's this good. If you're in it for the sandwich game, don't let the dry vibe throw you off -- the flavor makes up for the rest.

We finally made it to Pepp's on Sunday so we could try this long awaited Pizza spot. (Kim is a…read morepizza nut and she has had her eye on this one!) Pepp's is located in a strip mall just off of interstate 80 and 86th on the northwest side of Des Moines in Urbandale. Surrounded by some other hotspots including Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and Friedrichs Coffee so you really could make this an all day stop! (haha). The shop is small and only has seating for about 25 people (max) The open kitchen and walkup ordering works so you can see and hear everything going on. Decorations are eclectic and fun without being obnoxious. The place is clean and well lit. Menus are displayed in multiple locations and easy to read. Order Pizza by the slice or the whole thing along with sandwiches and extras. Grab a cup and a number, get your drink (no alcohol) and sit down. The lady at the counter was patient and kind while we deliberated our choices. Once we decided and ordered our Meatzilla Pizza ($21.50) we only waited about 10 minutes before it was delivered with a smile. First impressions - it is a well made pizza with ample toppings, the crust is thin, chewy and crispy and perfect! We really enjoyed the combination of canadian bacon, sausage and pepperoni with the little bits of ham. I had a little buyers remorse that we only ordered one pizza so I ordered a slice of the 'Pepp's Pie' to go. It was also delicious with the pepperoncini adding that nice tangy spice to the already tasty slice! While we were eating we witnessed one of the chefs come out and check with every table to make sure we were all happy - this was a very nice touch. In addition the manager came out at the request of our neighboring table to discuss catering options with them. Very good customer service all around! We are looking forward to coming back to try another option! Great Job Pepp!

Low points: The toppings on the pizzas with lots of bulk (large amount of toppings) were mostly in the middle of the pie...or had fallen in...but it made picking up the pieces quite messy as they'd fall off. Was also confused because they advertised an upside down pizza, but all of the pizzas we got were "normal" with the sauce on the bottom and the cheese on top and then the toppings on top of that. (Shrug) Our group tried a wide variety of pizzas, but the favorite was the white pizza with the hot honey on it. It really was tasty. Sometimes white pizzas don't have enough cheese or sauce on them and end up being kind of plain, but this one was tops!

My sister and I came to visit my mother in Des Moines and we decided we wanted Jersey Mikes for…read moredinner. Tonight has been my worst experience by far at any food place I have ever been to. We placed our order through the app as of 5:16pm. It said it would be ready by 5:30pm. I know it takes longer to make gluten free sandwiches because they have to clean the grill so I did not arrive until 5:45pm to pick up my food. When I got there hardly any customers were in the store. 2 people were in line to order and 2 people were standing waiting for doordash. I ended up waiting a few moments before asking if my order was ready around 5:50pm. They checked and found it had not even been started yet and that it was quite a few tickets behind the others for the grill. I was told it would be about 10 minutes by the kid who was working the register. The kid then went to check if he had told me correct by the guy on the grill. The guy went to check my ticket and started laughing saying, "yeah good luck with that. It's got gluten free. Its gonna be awhile." He then proceeded to make 8 sandwiches and none of them were mine. I had doordash drivers and other online pickup customers come in after me who received there food before me. I watched the guy on the grill move tickets that were behind mine forward. Someone obviously made a conscious decision not to fill my order in a timely manner because of the gluten free sandwiches. At 6:05pm I watched the guy on the grill finally start cleaning the grill. By 6:10pm he started making 2 gluten free sandwiches. And did not pay attention to the fact that #65 was not supposed to have jalepenos and yet seem to have a ton of them on the sandwich. By 6:21pm all sandwiches were done. The manager (Jasmine) tried to hand a cookie off to me and another customer who had been waiting almost as long as me. But considering I cannot eat it nor does that make up for waiting nearly an hour from the time my food was supposed to be ready I did not want it. The manager seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and kept throwing hateful looks towards my mother and me after we would not accept her offer. She then went back behind the counter pulled out her phone, messed with it for a bit then pulled some vouchers out. She offered us 2 of them for our 3 sandwiches. My mother would have accepted it as is if there would have been an apology attached with it. There was not. She thought it was more reasonable to have 3 vouchers since our order was for 3 sandwiches and the manager disagreed. All sandwiches were put in the same bag. I specifically put special instructions on my order for the gluten free sandwiches to be put in a seperate bag. I have never had any trouble with this at any other store. The manager said, "We don't do that." I explained that I have asked at other stores and had no problem. I was then told by the manager "Well you don't have to come here. You can go to another store. And you can leave." I feel like this was a personal attack and discriminatory against me due to my food allergies and I do not appreciate it. I was not asking for anything special just for the considerations that I know are in place by this company. Jersey Mike's as a company has practices in place to accommodate customers with food allergies but this employee seems to have decided to not provide your typical great service because of it.

This place is right on the corner, well maintained and has good signage. It lacks on curb appeal, but we came for the food, drinks and atmosphere. Upon entering we were greeted by big crowds and a very busy place. We lucked out and were able to sit right down (at the bar of course). The place is dated, and slightly divey but it has a lot of seating and the staff all seemed to be busy making it happen! There is a lot of table seating both high top and standard table and chairs. In addition to about 20 seats at the bar. Plenty of televisions with all types of content playing. Although it was busy we soon had 2 bartenders offering us drinks and menus. Shortly after we were drinking our beers and ordered some hamburgers. Kim opted for the regular hamburger with cheese and a side of fries. I ordered the jalapeño blue cheese burger. It was loaded with plenty of blue cheese crumbles and the jalapeños were a nice touch. I will say they were both solid choices. They make it clear that the $12-15 sandwiches do not come with sides unless you order the baskets. So sides are all in addition to the prices on the burgers. So it makes it a bit more expensive and for me $20 for a burger and fries is on the high side for anywhere in or around the metro. The service was good and as the crowd began to die down we ordered a second round. Though I feel the prices for stand alone sandwiches are high, at least the ones we had and the ones we saw delivered to other tables were pretty generous in size and the ingredients seemed fresh. All in all a pretty decent experience. If you are looking for a well made sandwich, in Grimes this seems like a good place to find it.
