Great variety of sandwiches and sides! We did order pickup, and the pickup spot was neatly organized. The ambiance was spacious and clean (makes sense considering it's a relatively new spot). Online service was smooth and easy to navigate when placing the order.

Pick 2 is an awesome choice: half sandwich/salad/spud/shareable for 7.49. I have tried the following: -BLT+A -Nacho basket -Fully loaded nachos -Ole spud Service has been top notch. Order food at counter and they deliver to your table. They had plenty of staff walking around refilling drinks and asking if you need anything. They also bus the tables too. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing. Their drink size is large.

King club is huge and awesome.

I've been here a few times now and am a fan. Their sandwiches are really good and come with a side for around $8. Pretty good price for freshly made sandwiches. Their baked potatoes are giant and can be loaded with all kinds of goodies from cheese to bacon to sour cream and whatever else you can think of all for around $8 as well. Only thing I am not a fan of is their sides. They are okay and their Mac and cheese is runny. Otherwise it's a good price for some good food. I will be back for more.

When you enter, you may wish to grab a paper menu and decide before approaching the counter. They have a large menu but you'll find time to decide is small once you're at the registers. That being said, the cashier we had was very friendly and patient with our indecision. I had the choose two option. I selected the spicy turkey melt. It was a mistake. The sandwich was primarily vegetables and there was one slice of turkey, which you could not taste at all. The sauce was OK. Look at all that green versus the menu photo, it's crazy out of proportion! I would never order this again. The accompanying tomato bisque was pretty good. My wife chose the Club sandwich, which had plenty of meat and tasted quite good. Our son had the mac & cheese. I liked the choices of the cheese. However, it was kept far too hot to be on the kids menu. He couldn't eat it for nearly 10 minutes after we got it and even then it was because we poured it out and spread it on a plate to cool. It could have caused great injury! This is dangerous on a kid's menu item! Beware and don't just hand your kids their food here, test it thoroughly! The tea I had to drink was very smooth. If I had a choice, and for a kid's safety, I'd probably choose to go elsewhere. There are plenty of delis around.

Garden Turkey on croissant w/ herbed mayo instead of balsamic and a fruit cup side.

I became a fan of Mcalisters when visiting my family in Omaha and was so glad they opened a location in WDM. My two favorites are the chicken salad and garden turkey sandwiches. When I order the turkey, I swap a croissant for the nine grain bread and the herbed mayo for the balsamic vinaigrette.--that herbed mayo is AMAZING! My preferred side is the fruit cup, it is a nice blend of grapes, strawberries, blueberries and pineapple. The potato salad is pretty good too, although it has egg in it, which I'm not really a fan of, but that's obviously just a personal preference sort of thing. Generally speaking, the ingredients are always fresh and high quality--my only complaint would be that the avocado is often on the brown side, which can be a bummer. When I visit with my mom, she always gets a baked potato--those things are HUGE! They look and smell great. In addition to the sandwiches, my bf RAVES about the mushroom soup. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful and professional, service is prompt and and the restaurant is always very clean.

Quick lunch option. All the variety you'd expect from a deli: salads, sandwiches, and soups. Plus other items like baked potatoes and nachos. The food didn't look very impressive when we were served but delivered on taste. I had the pick two and had a generous sized salad and a cup of the special crab and corn chowder. My lunch date had a sandwich with his choice of potato salad for lunch. Both of us left full and with cleaned plates. Glad we checked this place out!

Service was a little slower but the food was good and done correctly. The potatoes could have a little more on the toppings.

We were just here a few weeks ago and I am so bummed to see they permanently closed!! We came during lunch and took advantage of their weekday lunch combo (Tues-Fri, 11am-2pm), which includes soup and a half grilled cheese. You can choose from the OG, Kick in the Cheese, or Fancy grilled cheese, plus either tomato basil bisque or the soup of the day. Honestly? A dream setup. I ordered the tomato basil bisque with a half OG grilled cheese, and wow... just wow. The soup was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the grilled cheese delivered that classic, beautiful cheese pull moment you hope for (and rarely actually get). The cheese had the perfect amount of sharpness and subtle bitterness, balancing everything out so well without being overwhelming.. I seriously could go for one right now! Every bite was comforting and delicious, and I immediately wished I had ordered a full OG sandwich because it was that good. The combo was mouth‑watering, satisfying, and wildly exceeded expectations for a quick lunch stop.

We ordered Grilled Cheese of the Month Quesabirria and it was fantastic I would say it just needed more Consomé. We also ordered their Cuban sandwich and it was really good! This place is a classic hole in the wall but it was very clean!

The Bobbie Hot? A masterpiece of messy indulgence -- a sandwich that didn't apologize for itself. Now it's a ghost. The dining room is empty. Just me, the hum of the fridge, and a sense that nobody cares. The staff move like they're sleepwalking. Slow, disinterested, on their phones. I watch a guy come out of the bathroom, head straight for the kitchen, ladle soup without washing his hands, then grab his phone. You don't even need to see the rest -- this tells you everything. The doors stick. The soda fountain's tacky with syrup and neglect. The bathrooms smell like a truck stop. The tables? Sticky. Everything is sticky. This isn't just a sandwich shop -- it's a cautionary tale. Thirty-five minutes later, my sandwich finally lands in front of me. Nobody said a word, nobody looked at me, nobody cared. The cook mumbles an apology. The girl on her phone shrugs. The sandwich is good. Really good. Hot, loaded, indulgent -- proof the heart of the place is still beating somewhere under the mess. But twenty bucks and thirty-five minutes for a single sandwich? That's not patience. That's endurance. Capriotti's used to have soul. Now it's just going through the motions. You want to root for them. You want to believe they can come back. But nostalgia isn't enough to save a sticky floor, disinterested staff, and a dining room that feels like a ghost town. This was through no fault on the store's part. Today I ordered Potbelly through Foodsby. I ordered the "A Wreck" and loaded it up. The basics are salami, Angus roast beef, oven roasted turkey, hickory smoked ham with melted Swiss cheese. I made it big, doubled the meat, and added mayo, mustard, hot peppers, lettuce, onion, tomato, and Italian seasoning. I can only assume my sandwich originated at the Jordan Creek location (6305 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266). Because I used a delivery service I can't speak on any experience in-store. The sandwich... Might as well just call it like I see it. It was a mess. Once again this is through no fault of the store. It's just what happens when you load something up with a bunch of crap and then get it delivered...or to go. This didn't impact the taste at all though. I just grabbed some extra paper towels from the break area and waded in. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was still warm from being toasted. I like the chewiness of the bread. It's not prone to getting too soggy or falling apart. The meat had really good flavor and I probably didn't need to double it up...but that's never a bad call. It's like saying there's too much bacon... Really? smh You can never have too much meat. Would I recommend Potbelly? Yes. I'm glad I gave Potbelly another chance. Yes...they're a franchise. Eat local...yada, yada, yada. That being said... The sandwich was really good...probably one of the better "warmed" subs I've had recently. And when ordered properly it's pretty filling too.
