Delivery!!

I love walking to work downtown and always smelling that fresh baked bread aroma from Jimmy John's. Even though I am currently carb free I breath as much in as possible to fake myself out with the tempting smell. I usually go for the beach club which is turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and an avocado spread. I hold the mayo and add sprouts for a true California feel. Recently I switched to the 'unwich' version which is basically your wich wrapped in iceberg- hold the bread. Still super yummy! Try one. Of course Jimmy John's has added all the convenience possible with online ordering and payment. They also have a legion of bicycle delivery hero's who brave the streets of downtown Jacksonville's crazy drivers and homeless....spare some change?....No! That's my spare change (cartman voice). And don't forget it's freaky fast!!!

Fresh food, fast delivery friendly ordering over the phone, and nice delivery people-and not in that order. Today was my first time ordering from JJ's. When you only have thirty minutes for lunch, this is a great option. I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone. Thanks JJ's for your great service/food/delivery/professionalism. I just called them to let them know how pleased I was today. The man on the phone mentioned to me that they "also do Catering". That is a good thing to know. Kudos!

Downtown Jimmy John's is a convenient location for the fasting made to order sandwiches (order, pay & pickup). #15 was my go-to regular order (tuna on regular sub-sandwich) but was introduced to UNWICHES only Jimmy John's makes (#15 no bread but contents wrapped in layer's of romaine lettuce. Now my usual is now: #15 no bread w Dijon & sprouts! Customer service is super friendly & I certainly recommend & continue to be a repeat customer! MUST GO & REPEAT!!! of 5 (5 of 5)

Well my fav place for a sub may be another place there isn't one downtown. Had a h and cheese today and the bread was great. Veggies were fresh.

Grab a quick bite and run.

The sandwich prices are decently priced in a downtown Jacksonville filled with overpriced food trucks and restaurants.

I've gone my entire teenaged and adult life ordering maybe 3 burgers over a couple of decades, now…read moreI wake up thinking about the texture, taste, thickness, seasoning and freshness of the beef at Pinegrove Market and Deli! My go-to is the Hoss burger, because I love the onion rings and special sauce, but their steaks (ribeye and tenderloin) are also perfectly aged and fresh off the butcher block. This is a small deli with seating tucked away on a neighborhood street where you're guaranteed to be greeted with a friendly smile by someone willing to answer any questions you may have. It's an older building but they're serving up bistro quality food. The menu is written on the wall to the right of the register, but they also have a printout. If you're prone to decision overwhelm and don't want to order 14 things, you can also look at the menu on their website! If I lived in walking distance, I'd come here twice a week. They also sell beer, wine, salads, sandwiches, and chicken tenders and fried fish! Can you tell I'm obsessed with this place?!

First off, if you're looking for something locally owned this is your spot. Everything feels like…read moreit's family and regulars only. Which, don't let that intimidate. That just means the service, and atmosphere is welcoming to every one. I felt very welcomed and approached by multiple people to ensure my visit was going well. Which feels nice when you're deciding to eat local at a place that is 100% mom and pop vibe. You can choose to eat in, or take to go. I decided to order the 16oz ribeye and sit out on the patio. The patio is not accessible from the inside ordering area. So be aware of that for drink refills and such. But they manage to still bring you your food and check on you occasionally. And for a more of a self serve place, that was more than I was expecting. The steak was cooked to perfection. Not overly seasoned, and I'd say just the right amount. Veggies weren't undercooked or over cooked. I planned on not eating half and saving a little for later. Well it was too good to do that haha. All in all a good meal and can't wait to be back.

I leave this review with a heavy heart! I'm so mad I didn't go here sooner and I am moving down…read moresouth and won't be able to eat here more often! The place is very busy so expect a little delay. The day we went card machine was not working great so a little bit of a longer line. Plenty of seats inside and outside. Tons of goofy things on the walls to look at while you wait for your sub. It's fairly bright inside. Ok on to the food. I ordered the Shane it was fantastic. I didn't realize it was a hot sub but it was still great! My wife order the 904 and as she ate it she started to cry because of how good it was and the fact that we are moving away. We also order the fry/tater tot combo! So dam good! Ask for the fry sauce!!!!!!! Tons of drink options including beer!!!!! I also had the banana pudding not the best I have ever had but pretty dang good. 4.2 out of 5 for banana pudding. I don't give out 5 stars often so you know this place is legit!!

Today my husband and I had an early afternoon date planned out in the beaches area. We don't get…read moreout here often, and decided to grab Angies Subs Official Page. It was a first time visit for both of us. I told the young lady neither of us had been there before and she offered to run through the menu for us which was great. I loved that. She described "The Peruvian" as (her words) "meat heavy". I've heard amazing things in the past about the Peruvian sauce, so that is what I landed on and chose to have it on their onion roll. Hubby went with the "Angie's Philly". I want to preface this with my husband and I had complete opposite opinions and you're going to hear about both of them. For me: When I heard the words "meat heavy" I did expect a larger than normal amount of meat, and maybe thats on me, or a lost in translation example, because in my mind this is not "meat heavy". HOWEVER, before you start angry typing, I REALLY enjoyed my sandwich. It was absolutely delicious and at one point (which I will touch on further down) I looked at my husband and said "Yeah... this is so much better than Larry's". I even put a little extra Peruvian sauce on it while devouring it. The bread was toasted perfectly, had GREAT flavor. I could have easily had a second (or maybe double meat? ) Anyways, zero co.plaints except for the lost in translation expectation. I hope that makes sense. Now, for my husband, who is extremely difficult to please. At first, when our sandwiches were delivered to the table, he was given someone else's sandwich and he ended up having to send it back and wait on his, while I started on mine. Whatever, mistakes happen, shit happens, and we weren't in any kind of rush, so no biggie. When his sandwich arrived and he began to eat it, he was disappointed. He said it doesn't taste like they season the meat at all and it felt bland. He noted that the cheese was melted on top and could have used more cheese chopped and grilled in the meat along with more mayonnaise. He's picky. About halfway though, he said he'd give it a 3 out of 5. Then began to finish the second half and apparently bit into some areas that were burnt and overcooked and dropped it to a 2.5. He said it wasn't bad enough not to complain or send back but not good enough to write home about. So that's the take for today's visit. We would both (especially me) try them out again in the future, and I personally can see why they're so loved.
