The sandwiches are made "freakishly fast" but that doesn't stop them from being made correctly and put together well. Every single time I have eaten at JJ's I have experienced the same thing; fast, fresh and friendly. The sandwich prices are decently priced in a downtown Jacksonville filled with overpriced food trucks and restaurants. My single complaint is that they don't have a lot of sandwich options to choose from. I really wish they would open up their options a bit more. read more

The service is horrible. They refused to make my sandwich after I paid and asked 2x. Two workers possibly even a manager talked amongst themselves as I hadn't said anything. I finally asked for a refund and they were happy to oblige instead of preparing the food. This place is hit or miss depending on who's working that shift. read more

This is the second time that I've had a horrible experience with their delivery service. It's been more than an hour from placing my order to the time it gets delivered. When I called the store to check on the status of my order, I get that it's 'just left with a driver' but I don't see the driver for another 30 minutes. There's absolutely no communication regarding the anticipation of a delay. The "manager" gives a long explanation for the drivers being inexperienced, not knowing the area, etc., which I understand and would be more receptive to these 'learning curves' if they'd do a better job of managing customer expectations. 2 stars because the sandwiches are still great! What a poor experience, we placed an order for a specific time and they texted that it was ready 30 minutes ahead of time. When I arrived I wanted to make sure the 13 sandwiches would be fresh and not soggy and the manager "V" could not have been more hostile/ toxic. V is not kind, fair or professional, apparently she can't handle the stress of a busy store or answer a simple question. It's a shame, we normally enjoy JJ at least 2 times a week. read more

I love walking to work downtown and always smelling that fresh baked bread aroma from Jimmy John's. Even though I am currently carb free I breath as much in as possible to fake myself out with the tempting smell. I usually go for the beach club which is turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and an avocado spread. I hold the mayo and add sprouts for a true California feel. Recently I switched to the 'unwich' version which is basically your wich wrapped in iceberg- hold the bread. Still super yummy! Try one. Of course Jimmy John's has added all the convenience possible with online ordering and payment. They also have a legion of bicycle delivery hero's who brave the streets of downtown Jacksonville's crazy drivers and homeless....spare some change?....No! That's my spare change (cartman voice). This place is great. When all you want is a plain sub, they're quick, cheap and extremely tasty. My go-to is the #12 Beach Club combo with kettle-cooked BBQ chips and a sweet tea. Can't beat the convenience of Jimmy John's downtown. read more

Freaky Fast is the moto for all Jimmy John's except this one. Have ordered delivery 3 times and each time has been over an hour for the sandwich to arrive at my place of business, which is less than a mile away. At least they make the sandwiches right. read more

Fresh food, fast delivery friendly ordering over the phone, and nice delivery people-and not in that order. Today was my first time ordering from JJ's. When you only have thirty minutes for lunch, this is a great option. I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone. Thanks JJ's for your great service/food/delivery/professionalism. Downtown Jimmy John's is a convenient location for the fasting made to order sandwiches (order, pay & pickup). #15 was my go-to regular order (tuna on regular sub-sandwich) but was introduced to UNWICHES only Jimmy John's makes (#15 no bread but contents wrapped in layer's of romaine lettuce. I stopped in here for a bite while staying at a friends place that was right next door. The staff was welcoming when we walked in the door and eager to take our order. The food came out before I could even finish getting my drink and the sandwich was made with the perfect amount of toppings/condiments. Jimmy John's never disappoints when it comes to their fresh tasting sandwiches and quick/efficient staff. The bike delivery crew at this shop is horrible. They seem to lack the understanding of sidewalk. Never a greeting, salutation, or excuse me. All of which would go over well when they are riding down the sidewalk or getting on their bikes in front of the store. Tired of feeling as though I am playing "chicken" with them. I love me some jimmy johns. They deliver which is the most convenient for me while I'm at work and forgot a lunch. BUT lately, I have been getting a mess of a sandwich. The meat is not even in the bread. Urgh. I had to reconstruct my sandwich so it wouldn't fall apart. I get oil and vinegar on my sandwich so now my hands and completely covered. Fastest lunch downtown. Sub is finished almost as soon as you are done ordering. Reliably good subs, but not necessarily the best subs in Jax. Nothing too special about their subs. The Italian sub w hot peppers is the best on the menu. 3 stars instead of 5 because they do not have hot subs. read more

Wow, I am truly amazzzzed by all the hardworking staff here!! Their motto is "subs so fast you'll freak out!" And that is definitely what I did when as soon as the order left my mouth, a sub was literally put into my hand!!! It took me longer to decide what to eat off the menu than for the hardworking staff to make my sandwich. A special shout out to all the athletic bikers who so tirelessly deliver sandwiches to your door. I have never seen such an efficient delivery system! I was having so much fun watching this super efficient operation that I started to time how fast customers were getting their food. The record was one female customer who walked in, bought her sandwich, and walked out in 50 seconds tops. I have NEVER seen service that fast. If you want a healthy lunch option and want the fastest customer service ever, look no further than this sandwich joint.
