Good meat and service. A lot to pick from. Rubs, pots, pans, wine, grill gear & even cheese. A lot of big ticket items if you're feeding 10 or more as well. Quite the shop. Be advised you get what you pay for $$$.

Excellent cuts, excellent service and great knowledge! The staff were super helpful and gave excellent recommendations too!

Yes the butcher shop is amazing and they have the best meat in town. But let me tell you how amazing the private dining experience is at Cline's. We went last night and were just blown away by the quality of food, attention to detail, the service, the wine and the Owners. In our private room we were treated to an experience that you can't find in Jax. From the Tuna Tartar to the Sea Scallops to the Porterhouse Steak (which I forgot to take a picture of because I had to eat it), everything was great. Thank you so much for an amazing meal and time. Well Done!

Great customer service, a lot of meat to choose from, homemade sides, and canned options. Picked up some dry aged steaks and broccoli salad and was very pleased with our choices. Can't wait to come back and try the wagyu options.

Grilled this 2.5lb, 3-inch thick beast of a cowboy cut ribeye from Cline's Custom Meats for dinner tonight. Cline's is a great local and family run butcher shop. Developing a great relationship with your butcher can turn an average grill session into one your neighbors will talk about for years. First I cooked it sous-vide at 135* for 6 hours for a perfect medium temp and then did a post-cook sear over my charcoal chimney starter at probably about 800*. It came out beautiful and tender. It melted like butter on my mouth!

This place is a great find. He had everything - his cowboy ribeye steaks looked beautiful and were decently priced. He had fresh duck breasts and lamb chops - a rare find in Jax. He had delicious-looking slabs of fois gras in between the tubs of duck fat. I joked with him that I didn't see rabbit - so he showed me where the rabbit was. Checkmate. One thing I had never seen before was that he butchered ribeyes into filet mignon-style cuts - taking off the edge bits and ribbons of fat and leaving medallions of marbled gloriousness. The side effect is that he turns the outer edge of the ribeye into something called the Spinalis Ribeye - a cut of beef resembling a flank steak, but containing the gorgeous marbling and tenderness of a ribeye. I love seeing cuts I have never seen before. I'm waiting to grill the Spinalis as I sit here. Next time I'll try the filets.

They also have beef bones which are so difficult to find in JAX--I use these for my pho broth!

Grassroots Natural Market in Jacksonville might be the most gloriously hippie health-food store…read moreI've ever set foot in. You can smell it before you're even through the door. Not in a bad way, but in that unmistakable health-food-store aroma that tells you there are herbs, oils, supplements, organic everything, and probably someone blending wheatgrass in the back with spiritual conviction. I walked in thinking I'd grab a couple of health bars or maybe a smoothie, and suddenly I found myself in what felt like a live-action documentary about modern hippie culture. Real hippies. I'm talking long dreads, natural fabrics, calm serene smiles, and an energy that says they own a crystal collection and know each crystal by name. The vibe inside was amazing. Everyone looked like they were on their own personal wellness quest, floating around the aisles with purpose, shopping carts full of things I didn't even know existed. I felt like I needed to level up spiritually just to stand near the kombucha section. And the café area had this cozy, earthy coolness to it that almost convinced me to sit down and contemplate the meaning of life over a smoothie bowl. The whole experience was wild in the best possible way. Grassroots Natural Market wasn't just a store that day. It was a full-on immersion into the hippie heart of Jacksonville, and honestly, it was fabulous.

Smoothies are great! Every organic product available you could ask for and even a little grocery!read more
