The quality of meat here at clines is the best in town. My cattle farming midwestern family even said wowwweeee the taste on our ribeyes. I love that I can pop in for fish, a filet, the best shrimp cocktail, or an eggplant appetizer dip. The store near San Marco is a delight. Thank you for treating us and existing! We appreciate you! read more

We came here for a meat class that is constantly booked out. What a great experience though. He was so knowledgeable about the different cuts of meats. He even provided samples of the meats. He also had seasoning that is worth buying! Come for your custom meats. They also have sides to buy. Also knives and cast irons, and pastas. They sell beef tallow in containers too! read more

Clines Meat Market offers such a unique and memorable experience. We attended one of their meat classes with friends, and it was incredibly educational from start to finish. The team really knows their craft and explains everything in a way that's fun, approachable, and easy to follow. We tasted some amazing cuts of meat throughout the class, paired with great wine and even better conversation. The quality was truly 10/10 -- you can taste the difference immediately. They also offered a discount on any meat purchased that night, which was a great bonus. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and absolutely worth it. Clines delivers both quality and expertise, and the class is something I'd recommend to anyone who loves good food and wants to learn more about it. read more

Cline's is a family owned butcher and has a very good selection of high-quality meats . They focus and specialize on beef and can even customize your cut/order to your needs. They also have some seafood and poultry products as well as a selection of wines, sides, and grocery items. Their knowledgeable staff are very friendly and eager to assist you in making the best selections for your needs. We've gotten steaks, had them slice brisket for us for our homemade jerky, and used their ground steak for steak burgers. They also have beef bones which are so difficult to find in JAX--I use these for my pho broth! They even make bone broth for dogs which our pups love! Cline's also hold a Butcher's Table dinner where they showcase their products which we definitely want to experience in the future! Whatever the occasion, support your local butcher and shop at Cline's! read more

I came to this butcher shop looking to pick up a few items for my dogs. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a little section specifically for dog friendly meat blends, bone broth and more. I picked up the bone broth and raw beef liver. The prices were not too bad, although I am unsure what the average price would be for the items I bought. The staff was very helpful too when I asked a few questions about their selection. The store not only has meats but also deli options like pre-made pastas. They also sell other items such as crackers, spreads, and more. I really like the open feel and set up of this shop. It is very clean and offers so much more than an average butcher shop. I will be back and will tell my friends about it. read more

Great customer service, a lot of meat to choose from, homemade sides, and canned options. Picked up some dry aged steaks and broccoli salad and was very pleased with our choices. Can't wait to come back and try the wagyu options. read more

Yes the butcher shop is amazing and they have the best meat in town. But let me tell you how amazing the private dining experience is at Cline's. We went last night and were just blown away by the quality of food, attention to detail, the service, the wine and the Owners. In our private room we were treated to an experience that you can't find in Jax. From the Tuna Tartar to the Sea Scallops to the Porterhouse Steak (which I forgot to take a picture of because I had to eat it), everything was great. Thank you so much for an amazing meal and time. Well Done! read more

Grilled this 2.5lb, 3-inch thick beast of a cowboy cut ribeye from Cline's Custom Meats for dinner tonight. Cline's is a great local and family run butcher shop. Developing a great relationship with your butcher can turn an average grill session into one your neighbors will talk about for years. First I cooked it sous-vide at 135* for 6 hours for a perfect medium temp and then did a post-cook sear over my charcoal chimney starter at probably about 800*. It came out beautiful and tender. It melted like butter on my mouth! read more

This place is a great find. He had everything - his cowboy ribeye steaks looked beautiful and were decently priced. He had fresh duck breasts and lamb chops - a rare find in Jax. He had delicious-looking slabs of fois gras in between the tubs of duck fat. I joked with him that I didn't see rabbit - so he showed me where the rabbit was. Checkmate. One thing I had never seen before was that he butchered ribeyes into filet mignon-style cuts - taking off the edge bits and ribbons of fat and leaving medallions of marbled gloriousness. The side effect is that he turns the outer edge of the ribeye into something called the Spinalis Ribeye - a cut of beef resembling a flank steak, but containing the gorgeous marbling and tenderness of a ribeye. I love seeing cuts I have never seen before. I'm waiting to grill the Spinalis as I sit here. Next time I'll try the filets. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend after I tried the salads she provided at a luncheon. I immediately went to Cline's and got their chicken salad, shrimp salad, beet salad, potato salad, and mac and cheese. Of course, I got some of their meat selections as well; which are the best quality. Many reviews are posted about their fabulous meats; so I wanted to share they also have some fantastic sides and pre prepared meal selections as well. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and a huge help. read more

If you want the most Prime of selection, service, and carnivore treats then you must check out Clines. Their San Marco location has various meats and goods for at home wanna be chefs like myself that I'm convinced even burnt food would be mouthwater-its just so premium. My favorite place to buy steaks! Always super helpful with explaining their decently sized selection. Since the first day I came in this place I haven't been anywhere else to buy a steak, if it could be helped. The store is always spotless and everything neat. An employee by the name of Ashton helped me today (sorry if it's misspelled) with picking out steaks. He was super friendly and informative. Also let me know about your promotion on Wednesday so that means I'll literally be back in two days. Thanks for the kindness and help Ashton. Dude needs a raise for sure. read more

Small market shopping gives life to everyday eating and Cline's Custom Meat does just that. It has ample parking and is located across from Good Dough, one block from the San Marco Library. Perfect for a scheduled or impromptu visit. The shop may be small but everything in it is selected with care... Two main cases with everything from house made lamb sausage to roasts. Selections will vary. One uncharacteristically thrilling frozen case, featuring the highest quality seafood, quail, ground bison. My mind was racing with stay in dinner date options. One refrigerator with cheese, olives, smoked salmon etc. I am very into cheese and his selection included 2 of my favorites. The owner opened a jar of cow goat blend feta, I believe he said, it was smooth and is a definite crowd pleaser. One rack of French Pantry bread, yes you read that correctly, and local produce. As well as Cross Creek honey, select spices, and nuts. One stop shopping. Truly a pleasure. My dad and I were so caught up talking to the owners we shamefully didn't formally introduce ourselves to him and his wife, who were there working. I say this because they have hand chosen the San Marco community for their {business} home. They are real people helping bring love through food. Go by, and do what I didn't, introduce yourself! read more

My last review was over 4 years ago & if I could add 5 more stars for a total of 10 I would. Joe Cline is the ultimate in having unique high end beef, outstanding chicken, lamb, and seafood. Their side dishes are outstanding, their twice baked potato, tremendous. The service-not a better crew in Jacksonville if not Florida. This is a unique meat store that is truly appreciated by peeps who want really good meat. Cut if you like in specific cuts not found at any other butcher in Northern Florida read more

The meats available here are the best I've tasted and I spent 40 years in the hotel and restaurant business before retiring recently. The New York strip is to die for...many USDA PRIME selections, cous cous, olives, lobster tails, olive oils, etc.The couple running things (owners) are knowledgeable and very friendly ! It's a "neighborhood gem" I'll return to often! Rating is 5 stars! read more

Ok, the cleanest meat market I've ever seen. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about his products. The meat is amazing. His wife is Moroccan (i think this is accurate) and makes superb sausages and marinated chickens. And they're really nice people. This is a place I'd hit for sure if I was cooking for my boss, or if dinner really mattered. It's a bit out of my way for routine shopping, but well worth the trip for special events. In short, the best meat market I've seen outside of California (The Marin Sun Butcher shop in Point Reyes might have them beat by a tad) read more

Friendly service, awesome cuts of QUALITY meat. Next time I'm in the area, I'm buying wagyu again. Also, i bought elk. Got a couple steaks for myself and my husband for Valentine's Day, and we are SO GLAD we did! We spent about $40 on high quality steaks that would have cost over $100 at a dinner out somewhere. Can't wait to see what else is in store for Cline's! read more

Clines Custom Meats - Boneless Ribeye... yum - Butcher Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Clines is by far the best butcher in town! I have been coming to Clines for about 6 months now and won't buy a steak anywhere else in town. If you're looking for anything from ground beef to A5 wagyu this is the place to go. They sell beef, poultry and seafood (no pork) and they really know what they are doing. You aren't going to get Publix prices but you absolutely get your money worth if you like to cook a nice cut of beef. I've been able to get wagyu hangar steak (incredible) and some other harder to come by cuts (they will happily cut you a steak to your preferred thickness). Please support this incredible local business, the staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You will be hard pressed to find a better butcher in Jacksonville! read more
