John took our order. I think he was the ""John" of Jimmy John's. He was friendly and quick. I had the tuna on whole wheat. The sandwich was packed with creamy tuna salad, lettuce, tomato, perfect. Just like I like. These sandwiches are huge. I always say that I will save half, but they are so good that I eat the whole thing. My husband had the Vito toasted. He loved his sandwich and ate like he was in a trance. The dining room is typical Jimmy John's with a dozen small tables. We were able to find parking, which is a feat in this shopping center which is always packed. The drive thru does a robust business. I always have a good experience at JJs. They know how to do consistent service with tasty sandwiches.

Was not disappointed. Jimmy johns was easy to get my order. Let than a 4 min wait in the drive through. Got my sandwich and left. I ordered a Vito, which is the # 5. Bread was very fresh, sandwich was very tasty.

probably not a common occurrence but when i ordered a 6 inch sandwich, an employee intentionally chose to make it using a loaf that was not even the width of my wrist. it felt like i was just handed a thin breadstick with meat in it. i aas so taken aback that i forgot that i normally ordered a 6 inch, and ordered two. both were identically small. i feel as if i have been scammed for no reason. probably the worst experience i've had as of yet. didn't get the names of the workers. i have used my hand for reference in the photo attached.

Oh, just a fresh mouse turd on my bread.

T'other day was a flight of a mushroom/swiss burger, a Western burger, and a straightforward crispy-chicken sandwich. Noticed right away that the chicken was v fresh, a piece of breast (not some formed piece, like a Nugget), with a thin layer of crispy coating, cooked in v clean oil -- VERY good. Both burgers were delicious. Lunch companion had a basic cheeseburger which was great, all elements. Food came out fast and hot. We split a pint of a cold, tasty, dark amber beer that was a bargain at $6. The employee who waited on us was kind, helpful, polite, and just nice to be around. We didn't order sides, as we believed the burgers (% chicken san) would be enough, and ... yup, we were right. A very filling and tasty lunch, and while it costs more than drive-through chains, the quality is going to make us return.

Not spectacular, but good. The Sidewinder fries were nicely cooked. The star of this show was unexpected; the Caesar side salad was presented beautifully and was an unusually large portion (being that it was just a side item). Ambience: They're in a relatively small space. It's a burger bar, so it is what it is, but at least the building is in a nice place in Carmel. Service: You order at the counter/register, and they bring the food to your table. Service was prompt. Those three categories were all good, but I think this was just a case where the whole seemed less than the sum of its parts. They do appear to offer boxes of sliders as a take-out item, so I may try that in the future.

When we arrived, the place was empty. We weren't even sure that they were open until we saw the kitchen staff behind the line. Upon entering, I saw a kiosk where you can place your order, but a woman emerged from the back to take our orders. Being that we weren't familiar with the menu, I told her that the kiosk might be easier. She insisted that it wasn't, and as I went on, I realized the same. The kiosk states that there is a $1.25 charge for the sauce on the side, but she explained that it comes with one sauce free of charge and additional sauces cost extra. We placed our order with her: A small Italian salad to share, the Fatty B calzone with the spicy marinara sauce and the Hot Mother Clucker calzone with the chipotle garlic ranch. We ordered them with the suggested sauces but also order the regular marinara and the garlic sauces on the side. We were given glasses for water (self-serve from the soda fountain) and also ordered a bottled beer and canned cider. By the time we were done ordering, a line had formed. The store was understaffed, which was explained to us later, so we had to exercise patience. We didn't receive our beverages until after the calzones were delivered. Before that, we received our rather large, small salad. It was more than enough for two people. The woman had explained to us that it comes with 4 cups of lettuce plus the toppings. That information helped us make our decision to share. The space is large and we noticed cornhole boards to be used on the patio. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went, otherwise we would have played. The calzones were good and filling. Neither of us finished ours and had food to enjoy at home later that evening. The Hot Mother Clucker isn't very pizza-esque, but dipping it into marinara sort of brought it back into the fold. The suggested chipotle garlic ranch was a better pairing indeed. The salad bowl/plate is oddly shaped, which caused toppings to being spilling off the sides. When it was brought to our table, the woman tried saving the toppings by wedging them between the order slip and her fingers and dumping them back onto our plate. I stopped her. I wasn't trying to be rude, but I don't want to eat food that a stranger's hands have touched. I explained this to her. She tried to assure us that she washes her hands constantly throughout the day, but she'd just come over from the register without a handwashing break. Just let the toppings fall where they may! Let's keep it hygienic.

I was craving a sub, but in my rush to order before a work meeting, I mistakenly ordered a half sandwich. When I say sandwich, I mean meat and cheese between two slices of multi-grain bread...AND cut in half! I was so upset with myself. Not only did it not satisfy my craving, but the bread was slightly soggy. It was quite literally falling apart - maybe from the oil and vinegar if that was still included. So, I wound up taking the meat, cheese and banana peppers (it was a Grilled Italian) off of the bread and eating it with my fingers. Sans bread. The Sweet Tea and Fresh Cut Fries saved me that day. I love Penn Station subs, and it wasn't their fault that I ordered the incorrect sandwich, but it did leave me wondering why they even sell those types of sandwiches to begin with. I would like them removed from the menu! LBVS

But I needed something different, because the Greek food scene here just hasn't hit the same for me after growing up around Chicago and living on both the East and West Coast. This place was exactly the kind of spot I was hoping to find. First off, the owner is an older gentleman and he's awesome. I ordered, stood at the register waiting to pay, and when he came back he asked if I needed anything else. I told him, "I need to pay," and he just goes, "No, you pay after you eat. Don't worry about it." You don't find many places like that anymore. The gyro itself was packed to the absolute brim. Honestly, it could easily be two meals. The meat had great flavor, the pita was fresh and flaky, and everything worked perfectly with the tzatziki, feta, lettuce, and tomato. The place itself is simple when you walk in. Nothing flashy, nothing overdone. But between the owner, the regulars, and the overall feel of it, it almost feels like you're sitting in someone's home you grew up in. Comfortable, welcoming, and real. Definitely a must-try. The gyro gets a solid 8.1/10 from me.
