a box of fries on a counter

Stopped in here to grab a sub for lunch. Their fries first of all are out of this world! So good. Had to get a large as I knew a small or medium wouldn't cut it. The Italian sub is my favorite. Grilled to perfection. Workers are great. Winner!

Who loves Fresh Cut Fries!?!? Don't forget the Malt Vinegar!! You can't go wrong with most of their subs, and I tend to order the Chicken Teriyaki most often. Fresh squeezed lemonade! Kudos to the staff for keeping up during high demand lunch hours. Service was friendly and fast. Seating is limited inside.

Grilled Artichoke

As a diehard Penn station fan, I was super bummed with my latest food delivery. I unwrapped my sandwich to find a hunk of bread with barely 1 artichoke, 2 slices of mushroom, and a quarter sized piece of hard cheese. Even my fries sucked- they were all like the cold, broken bits you usually find at the bottom of the container. I've never had this issue dining in, so I'd recommend avoiding delivery.

Ordered the club sandwich tomato on it was paper-thin. And 4 slices terrible. No flavor will never go back.

Good service. Quite overpriced though. Basically just got bread with sauce. Very little meat and other toppings inside.

Order was completely wrong. Of course we weren't aware until we got all the way home. Will not return.

Quick, easy location. Opted to dine-in as was rainy and cold. Service was fast. Food was hot. Price was right. Average fast food location.

The Korean bowl had a lot of veggies and was huge for the price. The steak is the same that is used for the cheese steak. Could have used more Korean bbq seasoning. Too much onion. Good value. They offer local workers a 10% discount if they are in uniform or show ID. (My grandma uniform did not count.) The staff is friendly and patient with first timers. I ordered the Bourbon and Bacon Cheesesteak with Loaded Fries. I really didn't need the fries, I was just curious. The Bourbon and Bacon Cheesesteak was good! The bread was chewy and delicious. The steak was tender and juicy with the cheese totally melted. The steak was covered with sautéed onions and topped with a sweet bbq sauce. Lettuce and tomato added freshness. I loved it. The loaded fries are loaded. They serve a generous bowl of fries smothered in bacon and cheese. The fries are fresh cut, but a little soft. The dish is decadent and your cardiologist will not approve. The dish is sharable. The dining room is clean and comfortable. There is plenty of strip mall parking.

Knowing that, you can understand why a cheesesteak stop became the recovery dinner. Lettuce apparently is expensive, as my bill was $1.50 higher than advertised. Such is life! With or without this addition, the Philly Buster filled the hollowest part of my being with umami elation. As for facilities, parking, staff, and overall decorum it's not exactly the exemplar. But sugar this is 38th & Meridian not 54th & College! Grab a bite, enjoy that bite, and forget the rest. Cheers to orange walls and greasy bread, it serves its purpose well.

Even when I was on the way he called to let me know the food was ready. I was right at the corner so my food was still hot and fresh. I realized when I got back to the group that we only had ketchup. I forgot to get sauces. No worries. We started to eat and the chicken was not good. If the piece didn't have lemon pepper on it then it was flavorless. Then I realized it was really tough like it was old chicken. We did all agree that the fries were good so that was our saving grace out of the meal.

The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, solid value. Highly recommended.
