The staff at the Beltline/Quorum location in Addison took such great care of me and helped me resolve my issue. The Frankford/Preston store, which I'd accidentally ordered to, was also so kind and understanding in cancelling my order, despite having it ready. Hubby and I are doing the keto diet during the week at times and my goodness it was hard to say no to having the outstanding bread from JJ but we tried the Unwich and seriously it tasted so fresh and just full of flavor that it was super easy to adjust eating it without the bread! This is our 3rd time coming here for it. I just kept forgetting to check in and brag about it. The service was fast and friendly it is Sunday at 9pm clean restaurant. However, recently, it has been one flub-up after another~ The delivery person continued to phone to ask where I was although my address is clear on the site...he ended up miles away...and, never could find my apartment complex. My go to for lunch when i need fast reliable delivery! No $6.99 delivery fee and small order fee and any other fee. There use to be no delivery fee at all but now it is $2 or $3 but they lowered the prices of the sandwiches so it works out great. I always have my order in 30 minutes or less. It's just always a great quick option that you know you won't be disappointed. The wheat bread is my favorite. Always fresh ingredients and drivers are always super friendly. Night swift service it's horrible Bad attitude, very unprofessional, I ask the lady that I forgot to ask for a few salami slices on my daughter's sandwich and if she could add some and I will pay the difference and she told me it's not posible . Today at 7:45pm I walked into an empty store. No one in sight. I was looking to pick up my order and I called over and over again for help and was left with no reply. Products left out and door wide open. So much time went on I went to Zalat pizza next door to ask if they knew if anyone worked there. I think the only true reason I still order sandwiches from JJs is because it's close to my office. And by close, I mean a stone's throw away. That means they delivery lickety-split most times. Otherwise I'd find another sammich place, lickety-split. Back in college, there was JJ next to to Tavern and I fell in love - I mean, really? Where else can you stumble out with the munchies and get "day old" bread for a dollar? Good stuff man. I always order the Beach Club unwich - which means it comes as a lettuce wrap. Cuts calories, so I like that about this place. Otherwise you're better off going to Potbelly across the street or hopping over the tollway and hitting Great Outdoors. Their three star review is based not only off of the so-so sammiches, but also because last time I ordered delivery lunch, they got my order wrong - TWICE. Twice. Dos. Deux. The first round, they gave me a completely different sandwich - with a combo of ingredients I didn't order. When I called back and asked for it to be corrected, they said it would be a 45 minute wait. Fourty-two minutes later (gee, they were before their estimated time), they arrived with the right sandwich number but without anything I asked for on it. Sigh. Delivery from this Addison location is "like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get." I've ordered and gotten my food in 10 minutes. But many many many times I have ordered and it might take an hour. I mean for a company who's brand promise is "Freaky Fast," they woefully miss the mark. The person who took my order began making my sandwich with out switching gloves. The person who finished the sandwich slapped it on the counter. I asked for a bag and he told me I can bag myself. I love Jimmy John's and use them often for work or casual family get togethers. We had a last minute get together at my in-laws. I wanted the 30 piece catering box. The app said to call for same day orders. I called the restaurant and he said they need a days notice to bake enough bread but he did agree to make the box for me and told me to order through the app. I placed my order and checked the "no Mayo all" option with Mayo packets. I included 20% tip because he agreed to make the box for me My husband walked in to pick up and they scream at him we're on a shift change and it will be 20 minutes. Kinda panicked my husband explained he is just picking up. Our order was ready when he got in the truck there were no Mayo packages. I am the only one in the group that likes Mayo so I knew my mil had none in the fridge. We we're running late so I told him not to worry and we left. I went to place my order and it didn't work , so I tried a few more time. I often order from this restaurant rather it be in person or via delivery because it is so close to my job. When they are good, they are very good but when they are bad they are horrible. Today, I visited this location and ordered my usual... I even had my usual cashier. There was some technology issue on one register (I could not use my apple pay) so the cashier had to redo my order on another register. I get back to the office and my sandwich is on a white sub instead of the wheat sub. So their option is to either have me leave work and come back to their location for a new sandwich or pay the delivery fee for a new sandwich. What made this horrible (and I eventually hung up) was that the cashier says "the sandwich is not in front of me to see that it is wrong". Unless I'm mistaken the price seems to creep up and up. I'm not saying the quality doesn't justify it, but it's not quite the bargain that it used to be. Again, unless I'm mistaken in the case of JJ's: that concept is a well-worn winning formula for chains. Run at loss leader prices until consumers are inculcated in the belief that a place is a great discount, then VERY subtly creep up prices/slightly shave off quantity, etc. No one notices; they're so conditioned to believe they're getting a huge bargain that they don't realize. On my last three visits, my sandwich was ready before I even had time to sign the credit card receipt and pick my preferred flavor of Jimmy Chips. You know those annoying tabloid shows that advertise that you'll see Britney "in a shocking way like you've never seen her before" only to present a photo of her at Starbuck's buying a latte. Jimmy John's is a really just master of hyperbole. Every ingredient on the menu is preceded by at least one adjective, whether it be the yummy mayo or the real tasty vinaigrette. The veggie club is "world class" while the Bootlegger Club take an American classic and fine-tunes as only Jimmy John can, because lord knows the club was in dire need of some fixin'. Well, Jimmy I can use adjectives, too (after all, I did learn something in college). Jimmy, your overpriced, bland sandwiches are nothing more than ordinary, unspectacular cold cuts topped by run of the mill lettuce and totally average tomatoes, which you ridiculously (oops, that's actually an adverb here) pawn off as "tons of veggies". I will give you that your`service is quick and having the staff shout "Welcome to Jimmy John's" is a nice touch but you talk a better game than you play. Your Addison location is rarely crowded whereas the Potbelly across Belt Line has a line out the door. Two reasons: 1) You aint all that, and 2) You keep the temperature so low that penguins would have to go outside to thaw out. OK, so maybe I've been a little harsh here. I like Jimmy John's more than Subway. They have a lot of different sandwich options, and I live the 7 grain bread. It's so fresh. My co-worker and I only had about 40 minutes for lunch, so we stopped at this location. The staff was upbeat and friendly, and I love that they make it a point to yell hello and goodbye to their customers. I had a turkey sandwich, and it was more than enough. For $.25 more than a Subway sub, you get a whole heck of a lot better sandwich. The bread alone is amazing. It always tastes like really freshly baked French Bread (which it is). My personal favorite is the #12 Beach Club. "Fresh baked turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado spread, sliced cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and mayo." I started using Jimmy Johns on Beltline when I moved to Addison Circle, which is apartment complex right across from Jimmy Johns. I ordered a sandwich, chips, and sprite once..... It took them 2 hours to deliver my sandwich.. when I called, they told me driver's car broke down. So I decided, ok let's cut him a break. However, when I finally got my sandwich, it was soggy and wet from sitting in the car for so long, and my sprite was like water..... After complaining to their customer service center, I decided to give it a shot 1 more try. This time it took them about an hour to get to my place. I have to give you 3 stars Jimmy John's and here is why. I stopped in the other day at lunch (first visit ever) because I needed something fast and I saw available parking which means there might be a chance of me getting food in 10 min or less. So anyway I go in and order my pepe (ham and provolone) and ask for some pickles - all cold sandwiches need pickles in my world - and am informed you only sell whole pickles. I don't want a whole pickle. I want slices of pickle goodness spread through out my sandwich. Apparently this is not going to happen so I give up on the pickles, but I was sad about it. Pay my $ (I think it was pretty cheap) got a combo. Go to fill my cup with Diet Dr Pepper and it comes out clear - yuck! no syrup. I dump that out and get a diet coke instead. That's now 2 things I wanted and couldn't get (without a hassle anyway) at JJ's. Bonus - as I finish filling my (2nd) drink they call my name and my sandwich is done. Wow! That was indeed lightning quick!
