You can find something on this menu that you're going to love. Bread is fresh and so are the deli meats and all the toppings from green pepper to banana peppers to lettuce, tomato and spicy oil and vinegar dressing you'll put together a perfect sandwich. We had two different ones the Italian with the hot capicola, which was perfectly spicy and loaded with meats. The second sandwich was a ham, cheese and salami with lettuce, banana peppers, tomato, onion, all the fixings and that hit the spot too. We had two 8 inch subs and nothing was left. We also had chips on the side And that added to making the sandwich a perfect lunch combo. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because parking is extremely limited and in the back. If you don't know this deli, you wouldn't know where parking is but if you drive around the back, you'll see a very small parking lot and an entry into the deli. Staff is friendly and super helpful if you're not sure what to get. The place was crowded at lunchtime on a weekday with plenty of regulars, they know a good thing when they taste it. I'm looking forward to coming back into town to try something different since the menu was so vast it just means I have to come back again and again.

Secondly, the menu has similar dishes and prices. Lastly, the waitstaff has been thru the transition and still is extremely professional and willing to accommodate every request. Where I notice the difference is in the taste of the food. The salads were fresh and my Salmon with risotto and broccoli was deliciously flavored with a drizzle of balsamic which was amazing. As you can see from my pic, the portion size was perfect, and I enjoyed the rich flavors of creaminess with a hint of mushrooms especially on the risotto. There are only a few upscale restaurants in the area, and I highly recommend DeLuca's for any specialty occasion or entertaining friends and family.

We had visited Lucarelli's before, but this was our first time at the restaurant under the new ownership, and I'm happy to report it was a wonderful experience. We'll start with our server, Lauren. Pleasant, professional, and attentive, she was an upbeat complement to our meal. The entrées come with a side salad, which clearly adds value to the dinner. It included fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers, dressed with a house-made Italian dressing. The dinner menu was robust, offering many options. I chose the chicken parmigiana with linguine. The cutlets were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. The linguine was al dente and served with what I would consider one of the best red sauces you'll find in Florida--likely an old family recipe. I even soaked up the last bit of sauce with one of the dinner rolls. Well done, Chef Mike! My wife had the salmon, and my daughter chose chicken with a vodka sauce. Both of their entrées looked amazing. Now I'll look forward to my next visit.

In Season, Saturday, March 21, 2026 - Two for take out lunch for the beach…read more My wife has been bragging about these folks for months so we thought to stop in and see how they are for a few sandwiches?! VERY GOOD is the short answer! My wife got the Polo Toscano - grilled chicken on an awesome sourdough bread that I believe comes in from New Jersey? She decided to take a little bite in their roomy parking lot!!!! AND the result was we did not make it over KMI/Hatchett Creek Bridge heading to Nokomis Beach..... I got the "stump"/end of the bread with a little bit of chicken / cheese etc. So will have to go by her assessment. 9/10 I got the Lukie - portabella, asparagus, zucchini, roasted red pepper cheese (provolone and they let me try a piece before they made the sandwich!!! WOW that is no Dietz & Watson or Publix brand cheese - right out of the Italian market in NY or Philly!!) They put balsamic and oil on and the veggies were sauté etc. And there in was the only issue. Flavor and ALL ingredients were great....... but the sourdough bread was a soggy sponge by the time I cracked it open on the beach about 30 minutes later. The vinegar, the liquids from the sauté, the oils and etc. I WILL be going back for this exact thing next time, BUT will get it "dry" or dressing on the side. I picked it apart and threw well over 1/2 the roll in the trash. 5/10 Really good first visit for me and EASY PEASY fix so check back on my update...... OR go there yourself and find out how great they are! I spoke to a few friends and the overwhelming feedback was very good food and selection....but prices are a bit high for a deli/takeout.
