Word of mouth from friends agree this jersey Mike's has health problems, poor quality breads, meats. Staff desperately needs intensive training in food handling, not customer friendly. My employer gave us coupons for a free sub. I noticed mine had expired. So, I called the store before driving there hoping they would still accept it, and was happy to learn that it would be fine. So I headed to the store for my free sub. Well, after driving out of my way, I was told they would not, after all, accept my coupon. I was, apparently, lied to. Wouldn't you think when a business sends out coupons, it would be to create new regular customers. Sending out coupons and lying about accepting them to irritate customers, does not seem like a great business model. read more

Lexie the manager refused to make a new sub when I told her I did not order it Mikes way and even if I was going to try to eat it the wrap... it is so wet I can't lift it up without it falling apart. I had to pay for another and throw it out the first. The worst customer service ever. Never ever saw this in my entire retail career. Be careful that your app does not default to Mikes way. I do not normally eat in chains serving subs or review them. We stopped here on Monday, my wife had never had a sub from there and it has been many years since I have and can not remember what state it was in. We walked in and were cheerfully greeted by the young woman behind the counter. We both placed orders for cheese steaks. They were cooked and served to us cheerfully by the young man working the grill. My wife was very surprised on how good it was, plenty of cheese and the cheese melted on the steak vs being placed not he roll with meat on top of it. As we lifted we were thanked by the staff. Good food, not great customer service. I always frequent this location and it's pretty on par with other Jersey Mike's with respect to their food. Good thinly sliced meats, good bread, fresh produce. I always get the #7 Mike's way (lettuce, tomato, onion, spices, olive oil & vinegar) with mayo, jalapeños and banana pepper. Always gotta get the Vickies chips too! The service here isn't always friendly or cheerful. Their card reader asks for a tip, which I usually do for places like this, but unfortunately not at this location due to the unfriendly employees. (Will concede maybe 2:30 which will come into play later) Had a few Errands to run so the longer wait wasn't an issue. Got there about 2:20 went to area and saw the order wasn't there which is unusual but they were busy. So I sat down and couple orders came up nothing... the whole time never acknowledged by the female or young man at the register. Finally one of the other men in the back yelled out who are you waiting for... I yelled back my name and said it's been almost 45 mins. The lady yells back what's the name?? So I repeated it she then yells we said 2:30 and it's only 2:34... I said my note said 2:15. I will concede possibly it did say 2:30 since it can't be pulled up again, but even at that to not be acknowledged when one first walks in to the pickup area and then continues to ignore then argue about the time is just not professional. Placed our order and heard the female employee scolding the young man in front of us for not remembering his sandwich number. After being rude to him, the computer went down and wouldnt take his payment. We waited for 15 minutes while they tried to reboot. Meanwhile all the customers sandwiches we're getting cold and no one acknowledged any of us waiting in line who wanted to pay cash. Excellent sub. There is a bit of competition in the area. But you can't find bread or a sub as close to a real jersey sub anywhere else. It's my go-to. Love the new place in Venice with outdoor seating options. For being on a parking lot, not bad. Very disappointed! We ordered our subs online, which I do not recommend as it said it would take 45 minutes we laughed thinking how absurd a cold sub 45 minutes? I can get a hot pizza cooked in shorter time than that! It took us about 30 minutes to get there so we went in and were probably told in a snotty form that if we were told 45 minutes it meant 45 minutes! Then they said they don't have any roast beef which is what both of us had ordered!! How bizarre that their website allowed us to order meat that they don't even have. My husband went in to pick up the order by himself and didn't know what else to order me so he ordered the turkey...I would've just canceled the order had I gone in. I don't go to Jersey Mike's for turkey I go to Jersey Mike's for the roast beef but now I don't go to Jersey Mike's at all...2nd time at this location and 2nd time I've been disappointed. read more
