I found a new favorite sandwich shop in Sarasota. I stopped on for lunch on a Thursday and business was brisk. Counter service ordering where I chose the daily special Maplewood Sandwich and it was simply spectacular! Service was super fast, very clean establishment with indoor seating as well as outdoor seating out front and in the back. Prices are very reasonable as well. I will be a regular here for sure read more

A small hole in the wall that has great sandwiches. The staff took my order with a friendly smile. The daily specials are great. read more

So glad I found this place! Lived here for many years and never heard of it until driving by recently. It reminded me of a NY deli. The turkey wrap with cheese, green peppers, lettuce, tomato, mayo and a side of the fresh cole slaw was so good. They even give a pickle for lunch. You can dine in or take it to go. Can't wait to go back! Perfect lunch and they have specials each day too read more

Corkscrew Deli - Delis Near Me - Sarasota, Florida

They make the best sandwiches and have even better customer service!! Been coming here for a long time and that won't change. Love corkscrew

Stopped by Corkscrew Deli for the daily special and honestly... you can't beat it. The price point is almost unheard of for the quality you're getting -- fresh, generous, and consistently good. Add in friendly, easygoing service and it's the kind of local spot you keep coming back to. Simple, solid, and always worth it. read more

I LOVE Corkscrew! The sandwiches are always fantastic, the staff is awesome, and the prices/portions are more than fair. Try the jalapeño ranch on a sandwich. read more

Can't recommend this place enough! Sandwiches are fresh and great, come out quick regardless of how busy it is. The five stars come from the service which is fantastic. The guy taking your order is extremely nice and very personable. If you work near the landings this is a great spot to have lunch. read more

Down in Florida on vacation and had to run some errands. Yelped a deli which led me to here. Reminded me of a good NJ deli, pretty busy and a few young women behind the counter taking orders. Friendly service and sandwiches were very good. Outdoor seating and parking was easy. read more

Delicious Sammie's, fairly priced, great staff at a convenient location we highly recommend!

Always consistent, always fresh. Good quality food. Great service amazing sandwiches.

Brings me back to the good old days. Greeted as soon as I walked in the door, the atmosphere is like an old neighborhood deli. The service was friendly and personal. I had my food in my hand within 5 minutes of walking in. And, it tasted great! read more

Driving by and I saw a sign for todays special... Cuban sandwich. I'm always on a quest for a"really good sandwich" it's much harder than you think to find one. This Cuban was a throwback from yesteryears..... simple, good ingredients, cooked to perfection. In other words "really good sandwich". Plus they are fast and more importantly FRIENDLY- which is hard to find nowadays. read more

A very good deal In my first review several years ago, I was impressed with their Caribbean sandwich, so that's what I tried again today. Still impressed. It didn't seem that small this time and was still full of flavor. To recap, it is a hot pastrami with provolone cheese, romaine, red onion, pepperoni, and their mayo based Caribbean sauce, on an onion roll. They offer lots of signature sandwiches, all but a few under $8, and even daily specials under $5. This place is a very good deal. My timing was bad, it was busy when I arrived just before noon with the line actually extending out on the sidewalk for a few of us. That was the busiest I saw it while I enjoyed my sandwich. They have some tables inside, I got one of the two-tops along a narrow hallway to the back door. They also have some outdoor seating. Being busy, the sandwich construction specialists were for the most part heads down putting out food. Busy places are often good places, and this was a good place. read more

Old school deli experience. Friendly staff and attentive owner who is on site and up front. Great sandwiches

Hole in the wall place that is clean with excellent good. Staff is helpful with ordering and honestly even just a regular sandwich from here is beyond delicious. If you like delis/subs/soup etc. then you got to give this place a try! read more

Food quality, service, outdoor seating. All very good. Convenient location right off of Tamiami Trl

Unfortunately I hate the bread. It's kinda like Subway bread. I prefer Jimmy John's bread. The meat and cheese is nice and fresh. The crew is nice but the sandwich making process is slow. I'd go in a pinch but I wouldn't seek it out. read more

Maplewood sandwich on toasted marble. So good! The carribean sauce has a little spice, but takes the sandwich to a new level. read more

Great sandwiches! Choose one of their signature sandwiches or make your own, can't go wrong! I had the pressed Cuban, husband had the special of the day (just $5.49!) and we shared a side of red potato salad. It was all great. Busy place, but quick. Small inside, few tables, so we took ours to go. I would happily eat here again and again! read more

Best deli in Sarasota. It's the locals favorite. Friendly staff. Great Cuban sandwich. Specials every day. I actually crave their "Smokey".

Great sandwich! A bit crowded and a little uncomfortable sitting inside (all outside tables were taken) in small tables surrounded by people but the food and service were really, really good! Try it! You'll like it! read more

Don't remember this place so I can't provide an accurate review! Speedy service is all I can remember!!

I would definitely classify the Corkscrew Deli as a hidden gem of Sarasota, especially being tucked away as it is in the Landings plaza. Their entire menu is very well priced, especially given the sandwich quality! I would definitely recommend getting whatever the special of the day is! read more

Excellent service and food. Daily specials are delicious and it's very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Very good true deli sandwich. Fun team as well. I had the pasta salad as a side. Not a lot of seating so you may want to carry out. Don't forget the pickles. read more

Sandwich was ok but we waited out front at a table right in front of the register. It was before noon so not busy at all. After waiting 20 min or so I went in and saw our sandwiches on the counter. I asked if they were our sandwiches the register lady said yes, I tried waving to you but you didn't see me. How hard could it have been to walk 5 ft. and give us our meals that we tipped for at the counter. She was not apologetic. Poor service (neglect) sours any meal. We will not be back. read more

Great sandwiches great value always a pleasure having there food love potato salad try it

had a great lunch here to Saturday. only staff we dealt with was the man at the register. he was friendly and helpful. we went with 2 cups of chicken dumpling soup which were very good. our sandwiches were a Cuban and a New Yorker, both were made with care, presented neatly and have very good taste. I can see why they place is so busy, good food and good prices! read more

I would like to give this place 5 stars but I can't because of 1 person. It's a shame that my experiences with this worker has made me not want to give a stellar review. The older gentleman who works the register is so unfriendly. He doesn't answer questions and seems blah about everything. The first time I came in a younger man was working the register and wow, he was friendly, happy, kind, helpful, and answered questions. Maybe the first experience with the younger male really tainted my experience with the elderly cashier but it's like night and day. They run out of soup and act like whatever, too bad. No explanation, just we don't have any and it's still on the menu board... I said bummer and told him that's the reason I came today was for the soup. He says nothing no reaction. Just weird. So I guess I will figure out the soup situation and ask questions when the younger man is working the cashier. But I won't be in nearly as much as I would like to since I don't know what kind of mood I will get if the older man is working. read more

Food was good. Although portions were on small scale. There was an untitled woman who sat down in front of us with room for 4 and proceeded to talk loudly for 2/2 hour , never touching her food . . Several employees walked by and said nothing. This was at height of lunch time. No great shakes read more
