    Galbi frites

I ate at this spot with a friend on a Tuesday night and easily made reservations on the same day. There was street parking out front and we got seated before our reservation time (it wasn't too busy). The restaurant is dark with projections of old cartoons onto the walls. Seating is limited so reservations are recommended unless you are okay with sitting at the bar! We decided to try the dine LA menu and ordered the honey butter chips, meat jeon, shrimp toast, galbi frites, kimchi rigatoni, and a grape cocktail which was very good! The food was overall pretty salty and flavorful so it got a bit tiring after a while. I would come back just for small bites and soju cocktails. It was a fun experience and worth trying at least once!

My sister and I came were going to a concert at the Wiltern and wanted to get dinner close by beforehand. Neither of us had eaten here before, but we were intrigued by the DineLA menu and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I took the metro here, because parking is a bit of a nightmare. My sister drove over and ended up spending nearly half an hour trying to find street parking before settling on a paid lot. The restaurant is pretty small and gets packed throughout the evening, so I'd recommend making a reservation in advance. We both ordered different items from the DineLA menu and shared all the plates: honey butter chips, tuna dip with crackers, meat jeon, fried chicken, galbi with fries (additional surcharge), and a few cocktails. Overall, we enjoyed trying all the different dishes and flavors and finished just about everything. My favorites were the meat jeon and galbi with fries; I thought the galbi was cooked and marinated perfectly, and I had a difficult time refraining from munching on the crispy and well-seasoned fries. The galbi and jeon were both a tad bit on the salty side, but I still found them to be tasty and comforting dishes. I really appreciated the kind and efficient service throughout the evening. I got to the restaurant a bit early but was seated almost immediately, and our server checked in with us multiple times throughout the evening to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our dining experience here and thought the DineLA menu offered great value for the meal inclusions and price point. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a quick pre-concert dinner, or if you're just looking to catch up with friends over shared plates.

Shared plates with friends and everything hit. The chicken and fries were FANTASTIC. Crispy, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. I was doing Dry January, so I skipped the drinks, but my friend said they were delicious. Fun, laid-back spot that's perfect for hanging out with friends. Bonus points for the OG anime playing on the wall. The place is small, so prepare for a wait if there is a bigger group, or give them a call.

We recently checked out Jilli and it completely exceeded our expectations. We originally went because we were intrigued by the rigatoni alla kimchi vodka and wow that dish absolutely blew us away. Such a unique combination, and it worked perfectly. Honestly everything we tried was spectacular. The service was just as impressive. We sat at the bar, and both the servers and bartenders were incredibly attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back highly recommend checking this spot out!

Food: The Rigatoni alla Kimchi Vodka was the star of the night, creamy and rich with a mild spicy kick from the kimchi that made the dish feel bold yet comforting. The Wagyu Yukhoe was decent and refreshing, with fresh flavors that felt clean and satisfying. The Perilla Oil Noodle was okay, with a subtle herby note, but it wasn't my personal favorite. The Meat Jeon was simple and cozy, though it didn't feel authentically Korean. Overall, the menu offers creative Korean-fusion dishes that are fun to try. Price: Expect to spend about $30-$50 per person depending on drinks. The Rigatoni runs around $21-$25, Wagyu Yukhoe about $25-$28, and the other dishes like Perilla Oil Noodle and Meat Jeon are roughly $16 each. See my menu photo for details. For the quality and creativity, the pricing feels fair for a Koreatown late-night spot. Ambiance: The vibe is dark and moody, perfect for late-night food and drinks with your bae, a partner, or a girls' night out. The space is small and slightly cramped, which adds to the intimate feel but can get tight during peak hours. It's definitely a spot for those who enjoy cozy corners and a lively, bar-like atmosphere. Service: Service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and even surprised us with free shots, then joined us for a toast with sweet, delicious house-made shots. That personal touch made the experience extra fun and memorable. Parking: Parking is the usual Koreatown challenge. Street parking is your best bet, so plan ahead and give yourself time to circle the block. There's no dedicated lot, so patience is key.

Awesome new-ish addition to Ktown. The vibes are super cool inside. Great cocktail menu. Service is a little slow, probably because it's very busy. Started with the trout dip which was fresh and creamy. Comes with two different types of crackers. Nothing mind blowing but it was good. The shrimp toast was excellent. Extremely crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I liked the kimchi rigatoni. Great balance of sour kimchi and spicy vodka sauce. The uni tteokboki was not my fave. The sauce was a little too pungent and stinky for my taste. The bartender brought us shots at the end of our meal which was a fun surprise.

good spot for tapas style food and drinks! def fits the modern pub vibe that they're going for (dark, loud music). On a Wednesday around 5:30pm, it was empty. - Meat Jeon $16: thinly sliced beef in a fluffy egg pancake. pretty yummy but the tart chili vinaigrette was a little offputting for me. prob wouldn't get again for me - Honey Butter Chips: mgr hooked it up with this - generous amount of chips with a honey butter drizzle on top. perfect to go along with the drinks. - Rigatoni Alla Kimchi Vodka $21 (+Burrata $4): perfectly al dente pasta with lots of sauce. sour-y aftertaste because of the kimchi. spicy even with the burrata! acquired taste but I would get this again - Pay Raise $16: injeolmi makgeolli!! unique, nutty with the rice powder, and yummy. would get again - Kace Study $16: peachy soju, slightly sweeter than I would've liked. prob wouldn't get again. Depending on the vibe you're going for, i'd recommend! Service was fast and friendly too.

Came to celebrate my friend's 21st here! They have very small plates to share, emphasis on small and emphasis on expensive. No designated parking lot so you're left to the whims of Koreatown street parking (good luck). We got the makgeolli flight for $40 which came with four little glasses; we thought we would get more considering the price. I think it should've been more like $16 or $22 maximum to account for LA inflation. Uni tteokbokki was good but expensive and didn't have any full pieces of uni. We were served a completely warm Terra in a chilled glass and while the server was really nice and apologetic about it, I honestly would've rather not drank it.

Jilli is such a fun spot for delicious, innovative bites and drinks. The employees were super friendly and efficient, chatting with us and kindly giving us shots. It's a smaller space and was full when I visited on a Friday night. I would recommend making a reservation beforehand. The restaurant was full of energy, with groups of friends laughing and having a great time! What a variety of fun tapas to choose from! I really enjoyed the creamy uni tteokbokki and the flavorful rigatoni alla kimchi vodka. All of the dishes had so much flavor and were cooked to perfection. I really liked how Jilli took a classic dish and put their own spin on it. The drinks we ordered were fruity and refreshing. This was the perfect spot for a lively Friday night!

This place is the coolest, yummiest hidden gem in ktown!! My waiter was fast and attentive. My favorites were the Rigatoni, honey butter chips, tuna dip was fire and the soju selection blew my mind because I've only ever had the flavored green bottle. The fried chicken was very tasty too! Next time I need to try the beer and other menu items. I found metered parking nearby but there is valet service in the back!

My friends and I came here for a birthday dinner (reservation for 4), and the experience was pretty disappointing from the start. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we were seated at a table with only three chairs. They brought out a folding chair for the fourth seat, which felt odd since there were plenty of nicer chairs around and we had a reservation (you would think they would have been prepared?) As we looked through the menu, we decided on two cocktails and five entrees. When the waitress came, we ordered our drinks first -- only to be told one wasn't available. Fine, we picked another. Then we ordered our five dishes, but within a few minutes she came back three separate times to tell us that the jjajang fries, yukhoe, and uni tteokbokki were all unavailable. At that point, three out of the five dishes we wanted couldn't even be ordered, and this was around 6:30 PM... not late at night. We ended up only eating two dishes since most of what we came for wasn't available, and we left still hungry. Overall, it just felt poorly managed and disappointing, especially for a restaurant that was empty when we arrived

Dined here on a Tuesday evening with two other people. We had a reservation on Resy and were seated promptly. The restaurant is super unassuming from the outside but once you step inside you're instantly transported to some place that feels vibey, moody, and intimate. The actual space is small so I'd make a reservation before coming unless you're good with bar seating. We each got a glass of the house white which was delish -- truly one of the best house whites I've had, so crisp and refreshing. As for what we ordered.. we got the honey butter chips, cucumbers, shrimp toast, DIY salmon kimbap, the rigatoni, and Korean fried chicken. It was a feast. Their dishes are tapas style (so smaller) and meant to be shared amongst the table. Our favorite dishes were the DIY salmon kimbap, honey butter chips, and rigatoni. Definitely worth ordering. During our meal they also gave us shots of Makgeolli to try which was awesome. Overall Jilli is a fun dining experience and I'd totally come back!

Swung by on a hot 90+ degree weather for a popup collab event. Parking was very challenging and we had trouble finding anything available until parked some 3 blocks away. Signage is dark and unclear. No acknowledgement upon entering the restaurant. Very very hot inside as no air conditioning too. Circulation was nonexistent and the air felt dense and murky. I have no idea how people don't sweat eating or lounging in a small area like that! We waited to be seated but got ignored and never got to place the order or anything. Left after 10 minutes of waiting along with another confused groups of people. Overall a giant waste of time and I don't expect revisiting.

I can only get patio seating but we would really prefer to relax and sit inside. I can't find any photos of the outside area. Is there a way to see what it looks like? The whole point is to enjoy the vibe inside

This may be a dumb question but do you have to be 21 to enter?

no, it's a restaurant. 21+ is for places that are primarily bars (even if they serve some food). Jilli is blend of tapas restaurant and Makgeolli/Soju spot.
