If you are a bride, bridesmaid or have an important dress/outfit needing expert alterations, this is the place. I can't believe how great of a job they did. I asked them to hem, and do "work on my bridesmaid dress" to cover my cleavage and shorten the straps. The expert seamstresses came up with an idea to reuse the hemmed fabric to add a much needed inch to the draping of the bodice to cover my over exposed cleavage. They were able to do a rush job turnaround in a week, and the results were stunning. I would have been embarrassed to show so much skin, but they did such a beautiful job that the bride loved the dress on me even more. And their store location is beautiful. Jila altered both my ceremony and reception wedding dresses perfectly. I had a total of three fittings and Jila always listened to my concerns. At my second fitting, we noticed that the clasps on my ceremony dress was not looking great and would reveal the seams (weird design flaw on my dress). Jila helped me fix this issue by taking the extra steps to change the location of the clasps so that the seams are not as visible. By the third and final fitting, the dress was perfect. My reception dress had a lot of lace and beading. She did an amazing job altering it to my size and was always gentle with the delicate fabric. She also altered my husband's wedding tux. I went to Jila based on Yelp reviews, and despite the few negative ones, I decided to go in and see what she could do for my wedding dress. I only needed the dress to be shortened a tad bit because I'm pretty short. When I wore the dress with my heels, Jila asked how much shorter I would want it. She then offered her advice, which I took, and started pinning the bottom accordingly. She also mentioned that the stitching was "cheap" and similar to ones found on T-shirts. So, she offered to restitch it in a more aesthetically-pleasing way. After about a week, I went back to try it on and make sure it was the right length. Lo and behold, it was! My daughter needed hemming on her jodhpurs for an upcoming horse riding competition she was competing in. I called, made an appointment a month and a half, met with Jila and planned to have everything completed in time. After spending 5 minutes with Jila, her assistant comes in and does all the measuring and alterations in preparation for the work to be done with the pants on my daughter. Then when we are ready to finalize payment, we meet Jila back out in the main room. She told me that she could have the pants done a week before the show. I was shocked it would take 6-7 weeks for a simple hem on my daughters pants. Jila then proceeded to tell me that she had other projects (wedding dresses, etc) that she had to get to and that there shouldn't be an issue with the hem once it's done and if there was, she would personally rectify that day. Against my best judgement, I went ahead with it. The pricing was $75 for a simple hem on pants which was pretty expensive. Needless to say, I won't be returning for any type of alternation. The pants turned out great but the customer service was lacking from the owner. It felt as if her time wasn't worth it which was depicted throughout the whole experience and she was doing me a favor. I would recommend going to Jila only if you have an important alteration like a wedding dress that needs to be done. It seems this is where she's willing to focus more of her time and effort there as I believe it also costs a lot more in these areas. read more

This review is looong overdue but it took me 8 months to get my wedding photos! I want everyone to know what an awesome job Jila did with my dress. My smaller chest mixed with the structure of my dress meant that the required alterations were somewhat complicated - not just a simple hem here and waist nipping there. She had to shorten the torso and reattach the straps to the collar so they laid right over my chest and back. But Jila met with me multiple times to make sure it was just right, even making a critical last-minute fix to straighten out the collar. Amazing! We just left Jila's studio. My kiddo was getting her prom dress on and she started to really get freaked out about all the glitter that was falling off. She was worried she picked the wrong dress and started to cry a little. This is not necessarily like her, but for whatever reason the glitter everywhere really upset her.
