I shopped in Pleasanton stoneridge Mall. Beware; they can overcharge you. I purchased about four pairs of earrings, one of which was $16.99, and I was charged $18.99. Thankfully, I checked the receipt. It is not about $2, but the way I was treated when I asked why I was overcharged. They were a couple, one of which said it was tax(how insensible), where it apparently wasn't, and the other treated me as if she knew that she overcharged me because perhaps she was the one who did the billing for me. The extra few bucks go to her pocket? I am not sure. But she didn't even attempt to say sorry; she was looking unhappy because I asked her. Always cross-check the receipt with your items. My friend and I popped in here just to buy piercings -- which by the way, are super affordable, cute, and great quality! We happened to see their piercing section by the checkout and decided we should just get pierced here over getting it done Nextdoor at Claire's. Thankfully we did because it was done for a fraction of Claire's pricing and the jewelry options are much classier looking. The girls helping us were so friendly and kind, the process is quick and filled out online. I think the only thing you have to deal with is just the awkwardness of having most of the store watching you because it is done in a spacious part of the store/literally next to checkout. But I would come back here again because it's been a few weeks and I had no irritation from the piercing + the nose ring that I bought there has not irritated my nose which is a huge plus for me. I struggled with getting nose bumps from all materials and surprisingly have had no reaction since swapping to the one I got at this store. These are definitely aged for 12 and up. They do ear piercings here, and Angel is really nice and attentive. As any accessories store, they theme by color, metal, and type. This place is a scam. It took me a while to figure out a portion of the receipt. I bought 6 earrings at different prices. Their "promotion" price for certain items is a lie. It looks like they total the price for each item including tax as they scan and for whatever reason the tax percentage of each item (made of the same material) is different. They know they are playing you, so they don't offer a paper receipt at checkout. They are avoiding explanations and making it right if confronted. To get a receipt you need to enter an email and at the same time, you are being subscribed to Lovisa's newsletter emails without your consent. When I got home I checked my email to see the receipt (under spam). I should have done it on the spot but I was in a hurry. This business is stealing money from its customers. The math doesn't make any sense. And of course, they are quick to remind you that the purchase is a final sale- no returns or exchanges. read more

I was shopping at the Concord, CA location at Sunvalley Mall and was about to purchase a bulk of items from your store. I decided to try on two pairs of earrings before purchasing. There were no signs saying we couldn't try on earrings nor did your representative tell me this upon entrance. To add on, my friend was in the store with me and was trying on a few earrings while the representative was in our vicinity and nothing was said to her. Unclear and inconsistent communication from your team at the get-go. Right before I was going to purchase, I decided to try on two pairs to make sure they looked okay. Trying on earrings is not unheard of at a jewelry shop btw. While trying on a pair, one of your representatives on the floor on Sunday, October 13 at ~3:50 PM came up to me pretty aggressively. She loudly said I couldn't try on earrings to the point that everyone in the store turned around to observe our exchange. Extremely unprofessional and she definitely lacked some social awareness. If that's your policy, you should politely pull aside the customer and inform them personally. Instead, your representative's approach seemed like she was attempting to announce it to the store given how loud she was. As for her words, she said "Um you can't try on earrings in our store." And when I asked "Oh you can't?" She bluntly just said "No" and then turned her back to walk away. Super awkward exchange from a grown lady. Yikes. She was a bit short, had light brown hair, and had a hair bun. I didn't catch her name because I was honestly shocked by her unawareness to speak to customers in a respectful and polite manner. Because of her, your company just lost a sale, and I will unfortunately not be recommending your store to others. It doesn't seem like she really cares about the company's clients or if the company is losing a sale if this is her normal approach when communicating with clients. To prevent another customer from experiencing this again, either put up clear-cut signs addressing that clients cannot try on earrings, or offer some coaching to your representative because based on the reviews, seems like this associate has a habit of behaving in a weird manner with customers. I'd be surprised if this associate is actually the manager because they would 100% be fired without a doubt at competitor companies with her unprofessionalism. Finding out this place is newly opened I will give the 1 star. And I will add another star for there deals of 5 for $12. Put after shopping and not being greeted or asked if I needed assistance by what seemed to be the manager is unforgivable, when I walked in it was empty. I found out that they recently opened in Pleasanton and after reading about their piercing technique and standards on their website, I decided to give them a call. The girl I spoke to was super friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel super comfortable about what the process would be like. We were set with an appointment later that afternoon (although they take walk-ins too). We went in around 4 and my daughter was greeted by not one, but two, friendly girls (Angel and not sure the other girls name) who were going to simultaneously pierce each ear. I loved that they would do both ears at the same time. They took their time ensuring the marking was even. They were so sweet with my daughter and kept talking to her so she wasn't nervous. They even gave her a little teddy bear to hold during the process. Then they counted down from 3, and wa-lah, my big girl has beautiful pierced ears. I highly recommend this place for ear piercings because they aren't teenage girls piercing ears, they are professional piercers who know what they are doing. read more

I took my daughter to get her ears pierced. (3rd piercing in the ear) she was so excited. We were going to go to Claire's but there was a lot of people waiting to get there's done as well. We decided on Lovisa. The lady that worked there was really sweet and caring. She really concentrated when marking her ears, which made me feel more comfortable. I went in to this store and at checkout I found that one of my items did not qualify for the deal I was trying to avail of. The cashier took my basket and suggested I get another item and while I was away, she moved on to the next customer. When I returned to the counter again, the cashier could not find my basket. No surprise there because the counter was a big mess with several baskets lying around. The cashier then said that they probably put everything back while I was gone (for perhaps 5 mins). She had no qualms telling me that and instead of being apologetic she rudely asked me if I want to buy the 5th item that I had just come back with. I ended up leaving without buying anything (and the staff could not care less). I can't believe how stupid and rude the staff is. I went into Lovisa yesterday afternoon for the first time! The employees there were kind and funny. I felt welcome in the store. I decided to get my doubles by RJ (I think that's how you spell his name). Before he pierced my ears, he wanted to make sure everything is precise and wanted to make sure if I was comfortable with it. During the process he walked me through what he was going to do like: put alcohol on my ear, then the aftercare, then made sure I was prepared. I love this store and happy with my piercings. Best piercing experience for my 5 yr old daughter. This is her second ear piercing, the first one was done at Claires and we need to redo it as holes had closed in. Our customer experience is superb! Kudos to Katia and RJay who have demonstrated providing really good service and knows how to talk to a young kid like my daughter to help alleviate the fear of doing it, make her feel comfortable by letting her hug a stuff toy and basically just non stop talking to her so she would feel comfortable and assured that everything will be okay. Although my daughter's ear piercing done today was really unplanned but I am glad we got into the store and decided to do it there. I would give this place zero out of 5. They had a 10 for $10 deal and a 5 for $10. I picked up 10 earrings marked 10 for $10 and 5 rings marked 5 for $10. Expecting to pay $20+tax, the crook manager and the sales girl tell me it's $37! How the hell does that amount to $30. I will never revisit a store where they can't calculate and charge against what they're marketing. Crooks! Incompetent staff who are like robots on corporate's orders but can't explain it mathematically because it can't be explained! I'll be getting in touch with their corporate for scheming Americans out of their hard earned money! There should be 0 star rating for this store manager. Worst customer service. I went for my daughter's (9 year old) ear piercing. There was an upset customer before me who left the store without the issue being resolved- reason store manager doesn't know how to resolve the issue. We chose a certain ear ring for my daughter's ear piercing. The store was out of stock on that. I was never informed about that. The store manager decided on her own with ear ring design and pierced my daughter's ear. When I saw that and complained about it she Did not apologize. Told her associates not to apologize either. I asked for refund but was refused. Asked for her boss's phone number and manager said she is the owner of the store and there is no one above her. My daughter was crying when she came out of the store.Even the 9 year old noticed that the manager never apologized but was arrogant and rude.Doesn't look like but If she is the owner this business will shut down soon. DO NOT GO FOR EAR PIERCING at this store. I have submitted my complain at their website. Hopefully, someone will get back to me soon. read more

My piercer Katia not only did a fantastic job making sure that I was happy with the piercing alignment but was also professional and precise throughout the whole process. She provided an educational run through of the healing timeline and also demonstrated how to clean my ears afterwards. My cousin, my aunt and I all decided to get piercings on a whim. My aunt and I got our seconds and my cousin got her triples. Claire's is right next door to Lovisa and they also do piercings, but Lovisa is so much better in every department. Not only was the price cheaper, the staff were incredible (we got our piercings done by Katia). She really took her time to make sure the piercings were in the right place even though they were busy. I have gotten my ears pierced previously at Claire's and I HIGHLY recommend choosing Lovisa over Claire's.
