My old piercings were at the very bottom of my ear lobes and over the years, my lobes were sagging, causing the earrings to face downward. Dawn consulted with me and I got new piercings above and slightly to the side of the old holes. This enables me to wear earrings again. Highly recommend Dawn! Super efficient texting even at 9 pm on a Sunday night. Dana works in a beautiful and busy hair salon in Danville ; easy to find and easy to park. She had a wide choice of training earrings for my nervous yet excited yet nervous 8 yo. She was offered fresh water and given time to decide on what she would like. She was then seated in a very comfortable seat and Dana placed the markers and check with my girl if she was happy with the placement. Including her every step of the way made her feel in control and less anxious. It was then a smooth and fast process. $60 for both ears include the cleaning lotion and a post piercing consult if you have any question or want help removing the studs the first time round. Thorough care instructions were shared with us. So glad I did not have to go to Claire's. Yeah to local shops. read more

I don't like writing bad reviews for small businesses, however this is a safety and health issue. I texted and confirmed an appointment time with one of the sisters (the main sister who runs the business has been unable to do piercings) who manage the business for a piercing appointment for my 5 and 8 year olds. When I showed up, the salon was empty except for the piercer. The restroom door was open and the entire salon reeked of a strong potty smell. The piercer was a super sweet older woman, however, she was covered in hair from a previous appointment (she is a stylist and piercer). This was a warning sign, but I just went with it. My daughter picked the earrings she wanted - the woman fished for earrings for a bit and then marked my daughter's ears with a dot to prepare for piercing. The dots were uneven and my daughter pointed it out. The woman dipped a cotton ball in alcohol, placed it on the bare counter in between wipes and cleaned the uneven dots. This was another hygiene warning sign. She then proceeds to pierce my daughter's ear so off mark that it was almost at the top cartilage part of her lobe. I should not that I didn't see her clean her hands prior to piercing. We noted that the piercing is pretty high up. She, with her long artifical nails, proceeds to pull the earrings out of my daughter's freshly pierced ear. My daughter was in a considerable amount of pain at this point. The piercer then tells me she wants to pierce it again and it's fine. I told her no a few times and we ended up just saying thank you and leaving. I came home and cleaned my daughter's "piercing" aka wound. Overall, this was not a good experience. I found the hygiene here pretty concerning. If this was just an annoying experience, I would not have written this review, but frankly, I am concerned for other children getting their piercings done through this business. As someone who loves piercings, I am very thankful I discovered Dawn. Months ago, I stumbled across her and she pierced two cartilage piercings.
