Thankfully, I found Assilah Latifi at Lush Salon. She has a deep understanding of formulating the right shade for you to flatter your skin tone and natural hair color! She gently explained that dying your roots with a dark permanent color would affect the highlights as that root grows out and make the effect orange. In one long session, she was able to cancel that orange and achieve that ashy highlight look I was hoping to get. Not only that, she was extremely professional.
