I went to Lemonade for an ear piercing that had seemingly closed and a nostril piercing. I can't say enough great things about the experience. Making an appointment was easy. Pablo was punctual and super friendly. Also, his own piercings are rad. Another comforting sign. I hadn't done any piercings in nearly 20 years and was so happy to see how much had changed. Pablo recommended jewelry based on my descriptions (their selection is GORGEOUS) and what he thought would look nice on my face. I heard this was a great place to get a piercing so I made my appointment about a month ago. The studio has a parking lot and there's also plenty of street parking. I came in on a Saturday to get the top of my ear pierced. The studio was so bright and clean with a huge selection of high-quality jewelry. They are also association for professional Piercer members. My laptop stopped functioning properly (darn you, Flexgate (not the model this fruit brand covers unfortunately) and I had every intention to get another laptop or a tablet with a detachable keyboard, but instead, I decided to treat myself to get some piercings and amazing jewelry. Besides, gold keeps its value much more so than a laptop, so this was a great investment. They also say experience is worth more than material things, and piercings means I get both - a wonderful experience I can cherish for a lifetime and some beautiful jewelry. In all honesty, I didn't expect to get my ears pierced the day of my appointment. I've seen some wonderful curated ears over the years, but I've never gotten more than lobe piercings because I was too afraid and needles make me cringle so hard (I've fainted during a shot and I've almost ran out of the room during some of my vaccinations). Cartilage piercings stayed on my mind for quite sometime so I booked an anatomy check appointment to see what'll work with my ears weeks after, and if this was just another phase, I could just cancel my appt. Weeks went by and I found myself to be more excited, so I knew this wasn't one of those things I'd be interested in for a few days and move onto something else completely. Lemonade Piercing is a bit hidden, but very findable. Thank goodness for their logo outside! I went in and immediately noticed the beautiful jewelry and both Becky and Pablo were very welcoming. My appt was with Pablo (I chose first available on certain day when booking online), and he's so knowledgeable and I learned so much about piercings from him. He took a photo of my ear and talked about what would work. The daith and a cartilage piercing was what I leaned toward on my left ear and then we moved onto seeing what jewelry would work. The longer pieces wasn't compatible with my ear (either it'll spin or just lack of space) and I really appreciated Pablo's honesty. He said a daith was definitely doable and recommended a flat nearby the forward helix, and I really liked that. I picked out a couple pieces - a beautiful not small daith ring and a green and clear small piece for my flat. Pablo asked if I wanted to get pierced today as well, and since I was there, I decided to go for it! Release forms were self explanatory and the jewelry went into the autoclave. We talked some more in the piercing room and he talked through all the steps and answered any questions I'd have. He'd mark my ear for the placement to ensure it looked great up close and far away. I got onto the piercing bed thingy and laid on my side. The daith piercing was done first, and OMFG, it was painless! I kept thinking when the needle will happen, and before I knew he, Pablo said it's time to put the jewelry in. WOW!!! Then my cartilage piercing... now that one was another story. It was quite the pinch, but very doable. Didn't even have to curse. Looked amazing, sent some friends a snap and they were all surprised I went through with it. Jewelry pricing was given to me as I picked out my pieces, and I was rang up after getting pierced. Great experience, beautiful BVLA jewelry, definitely a treat yo-self kind of day. I scheduled an appointment to browse the jewelry and get my piercings downsized / checked. I appreciated how patient Pablo was when I was going back and forth between 2 pieces of jewelry. He was very honest about pieces that would or would not work for certain piercings as well. I have finally found my forever piercer. I cannot praise Pablo highly enough. My sister and I made an appointment and showed up 30 minutes early by mistake (we had out appointment time mixed up), and Pablo was still kind enough to let us in early to browse their breathtakingly beautiful collection of jewelry. He is such a nice, welcoming person and immediately made us feel comfortable and valued as clients. We probably spent 90 minutes discussing the best locations for our piercings as well as looking at dozens of jewelry pieces. Pablo was so patient with us and never made us feel rushed. After a really crappy experience with another well-known piercer in the east bay, I can't tell you how relieved I was to not be treated like dirt by my piercer. He was 100% honest on what piercings and jewelry would work (and explained in length why) and would never just do a piercing or recommend a piece of jewelry to a client that was not appropriate or could cause issues down the road, which we very much appreciated. I ended up getting a daith and flat piercing, as well as having my old tragus downsized. Everything was smooth, quick, and as painless as piercings can possibly be. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet and I can honestly say I'm sitting here with both ears completely comfortable and painless! No throbbing, no swelling, no aching - nothing! I've had over a dozen piercings done at shops all over the bay area and never had such an easy, painless experience - honestly, my lobe piercings ached more! I am certain that my newest piercings will heal quickly and cause me no issues, because Pablo absolutely knows what he is doing. The one star reviews posted here are really unfair. If you are looking to get your ear pierced for the first time, this place is it!! I got my ear lobes pierced for the first time at a sketchy place and realized they put in butterfly backings which are terrible for healing and long term wear. They also put the earrings on very tight so I was experiencing a lot of discomfort. I did some more research and found Lemonade Piercing through safepiercing.org and scheduled an appointment the next day to switch out my piercings. I wish I could turn back time and come here to get my ears pierced instead. Pablo greeted me with warmth and made me comfortable as soon as I walked in the shop. The store was very clean and brightly lit. I told him about what happened at the other shop and he agreed that I should get the piercings replaced. I decided to go with the titanium earrings with a flat back. The room that he does the piercing was very clean (almost like an operating room). He is well knowledgeable about sterility and has an autoclave machine to make sure the jewelry is sterile before being placed in your ear. I felt safe and confident in Pablo to put a foreign object in my ear, which was a feeling that was lacking at the other shop I got my ear pierced. The replacement was quick and painless; my ears felt so much relief after the switch. He even booked a second follow up appointment with me for free to see how well my piercings are healing. Ya know, I have a deep fear of piercings, but Pablo and Becky made me warm up to the idea of even considering to get one in the future! I tagged along with my best friend, Tanya, who found this place on Yelp because it had such great reviews and I can see why! Becky and Pablo are a married couple who opened up their own body piercing shop last year. When I first walked into the store, I was in love with how simple and how elegant the layout is. My impression of these both were simple- they were both as welcoming and warm as the shop! I was happy that they took the time and patience to help my friend decide what jewelry and what type of piercing she wanted. Becky was so funny and sweet, and I loved how she told us her story about how she got into piercings! I also saw that she was also part of the APP as well. After my friend was satisfied, Pablo guided us to the other room where he would do the piercing. There, me and my friend learned more about his personal achievements. He told us that he was part of the APP (Association of Professional Piercing) and how he studied for about two decades to perfect his craft. It was interesting to learn more about how he traveled all the way from Argentina to pursue his dream of becoming part of the APP! Furthermore, I learned about how him and Becky were supposed to travel around the world to teach body piercings, but unfortunately, due to Covid-19 they were no longer able to and instead they opened up this shop. I was first pierced by Pablo years ago, and I was so sad when I heard he was leaving his weekend guest piercing spot in my area. I was so happy to hear that he opened his own shop, Lemonade Piercing. I drove an hour and a half to get to Lemonade Piercing to have a curated ear design and it was SO worth it! Pablo wasn't available, so Becky worked with me and gave me some ideas on what would look good on my ear. I went in with an idea, and I left with something totally different, and it was so much better than the idea I went in with. I highly recommend booking a curated ear piercing, or curated consultation. Both Becky and Pablo are true masters of their craft and definitely have better ideas than I do on piercing placement. Becky and Pablo are professionals in every sense of the word. They are both very nice and really take pride in their work. I felt comfortable the whole time, Becky walked me through every step of the way and explained everything she was doing. They are both APP (Association of Professional Piercers) members and carry high quality jewelry. Right now you have to book a time through their website for an appointment, and I believe they will stick to that model going forward. I personally really prefer booking a time, if you have been to a piercing shop before you know you can easily be there for a few hours before being seen. The shop itself can be a little confusing to get to, you can't see the outside of their shop from the street. You actually have to turn into the parking lot and their shop is sort of located towards the back of the suites. There is a parking lot so parking is not an issue. The shop itself is very cute and really welcoming. I've had a few piercings from other shops, but now that Lemonade Piercing is open this will be the only shop I go to. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's totally worth it for the craftsmanship and quality. Plus there's a ton of other places to visit in the bay area, you can make a day of it if you're visiting from out of the area. COVID Precautions: As I mentioned before they are appointment only, so there are only a few people in the shop at a time. The staff both wear masks the whole time, and when they actually pierce you, they wear an additional clear mask that covers their whole face. They also wear gloves any time they are handling your piercings (this is their standard, with or without COVID). They ask that you wear your mask and to stay home if you are feeling sick. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Backstory: I got a 3rd piercing but sadly, one of my ears was pierced incorrectly. That caused me a lot of pain, so I decided to find a local piercer to see what I needed to do. I called and explained thinking I needed a longer bar for my ear. They accommodated and was able to see me within a few days. Afterwards, Pablo explained my ear was pierced at an angle and what my options. We decided to remove the earring and re-pierce my ear. You guys, Becky and Pablo got something special going on here and I'm thrilled to have found them through APP. I went in for a consultation with Becky for a 4 month old nostril piercing bump from another piercer. She was BEYOND patient with me with all my crazy questions and concerns with zero judgment. I took up 15 extra minutes of her time (came in early and left late) and she did not rush me in any way (even though I was the one rushing her because I felt bad to encroach into her next appointment time). She took her time explaining the cause of the bump (piercing was not done totally straight and placement was off) and possible solutions. I was recommended few solutions of either leaving it in and live with bump; taking it out and re-pierce later; or pick another jewelry to subdue the bump as my current jewelry was one of the reasons causing the bump. As I wasn't ready to let go of my piercing yet, she guided me to a beautiful new jewelry to alleviate the bump until I'm ready to re-pierce. I have had a lot of piercings in my life, and I've never been anywhere as amazing as Lemonade. I wish I had found this place sooner! My appointments were with Pablo. I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of time that he spent with me, his kindness, his attention to detail, and his eye for the best jewelry given the location and look that I was going for. He listened to me, understood what I wanted, and helped me "try on" (by holding each piece up near my ear) many pieces of jewelry until I found the right one. I did not feel rushed by him at all. He then made sure I was aware of the price, with that piece, before proceeding. In the piercing room, his communication was fantastic. We went over placement, and then he explained what he was about to do step by step, and encouraged me to breathe at the right time and was very helpful, positive and calming. He also is just really fun to talk to! The piercing included a free downsizing and check up, which I also haven't seen other places offer. Since we could pierce it with a bigger bar until the downsizing switch-out 4 weeks later, I feel like it healed so much better than other piercings I've had! I've gotten 5 piercings here in the past several months and feel like my ears are finally complete - and they look great! First my conch, then a stacked second hole, then a third lobe, and finally two flats. The jewelry is also extremely cute and very high quality (and made in the US). I know it is expensive, but the way I view it, I'm not taking the jewelry out and plan to keep it in there for the life of the piercing, so why not spend a lot for a high quality, super cute piece that you'd love to wear everyday? I highly recommend this place and if I ever want a piercing in the future, I would only consider going back to lemonade. I highly recommend going to Lemonade Piercing! The space is clean and comfortable and Pablo and Becky are so inviting. They take the time to hear what you like, show you jewelry options and help explain everything. The jewelry is high-end and they have both real diamonds and cz. Pablo did my septum piercing and it was a super easy experience. It barely hurt!! What a total pro. I am not a huge reviewer on Yelp. In fact, I think this might be my first. But I was so impressed with Lemonade Piercing that I'd be remiss not to share my experience. I went in yesterday to have my nose pierced with Becky. I've tried a nostril piercing a couple of times in the past and had to take it out after getting irritation bumps that wouldn't go away. Becky was so wonderful about explaining irritation bumps and putting me at ease with the process. She was also incredibly patient as I spent way too much time debating on jewelry. I was very nervous about the process given my history, but feel at ease knowing I can reach out to Becky with questions and will go back in a few weeks for an adjustment.
