I'd never been to a tailor before and was a little nervous. I'm picky and expected someone trying to upsell me on everything. Ali was nothing like that. First few visits, I'd bring something in looking for changes and he'd just tell me it looks fine. I was new to wearing nicer suits so wasn't sure what the fit should be like. No pressure, I was the one searching for things to alter. That told me everything I needed to know about him and left a great first impression. He did two suits during a really busy season, no issues. Then recently turned around a suit and a dress shirt in two days when he had a full week to do it. Even the initial week timeline was short, considering my alteration requests. Everything comes back steamed and neatly packaged. He gives honest advice, takes measurements, and doesn't charge you for every little thing like some places do. The details really make the outfit, minor adjustments across all my nicer clothing really brought everything together. I'm grateful I found this spot, it's fair and great value. I've been looking for a local tailor who has the skill and offers a reasonable price to hem a few slacks. This tailor is one that I would highly recommend. Never got his name but as soon as I arrived I told him what I needed, tried all three pairs of slacks on so he could measure and mark, paid and got my receipt and estimated date of pick-up. I went in on a Saturday, asked to have it ready the following Wednesday and got a text on Monday stating they were ready. That was fast! I know the standard advice: never mess with tailoring shoulders--just buy a jacket that fits. Totally fair... unless you stumble across an amazing Shanghai Tang piece that's one size too big and priced so well it feels like highway robbery not to buy it. Enter Ali. I brought the jacket in fully expecting a gentle "this is a bad idea," but after the fitting he just nodded and said he could handle it, no hesitation. The quote for reshaping the shoulders, taking in the back, and cleaning up the sleeves was definitely on the higher end but after seeing the finished result? Worth. Every. Penny. The jacket fits like it came off a bespoke pattern. Clean lines, perfect balance, no weird pulling. Honestly, I couldn't believe the transformation. I still wouldn't recommend shoulder tailoring as a first resort, but if you ever find yourself with a too-good-to-pass-up piece that needs serious work, Ali is absolutely the guy you want in your corner. I've been waiting forEVER to get my joggers sewed up - they had the tiniest hole in the middle, just enough so if I'm gymming or whatever I can feel a slight breeze down there. I was across the bridge n called the first tailor that populated, and they quickly sewed the joggers up. No hassle, nothing complicated. It took about 10 minutes, as the dude was sewing something as I gave him my piece, so it was quick, simple, and get this - it was free!!! Plus, they have a bird! I needed my dress altered for a wedding I am attending, and unfortunately I procrastinated really badly on getting that done, but Alitailors came in clutch and was able to take my dress in! I needed the dress to be roughly 3in shorter because I am on the shorter side and also opened up the slit by 1.5in, normally this would take 2-4 weeks but because I was in such a rush, I was able to pick up my dress the next day! It was $125, I was honestly expecting it to cost much more because I thought that there would be a rush fee (there wasn't). The dress looks amazing and you can't even tell that it ever got altered. I would 100% come back here again at a more timely manner if I ever need something altered. read more

I had such a great experience here today. I called around 5 p.m. to ask if I could stop by with a pair of pants that had a broken zipper. When I arrived, the tailor took a quick look and immediately explained that the zipper actually wasn't broken. He adjusted a few things and fixed it within about five minutes. He also did not charge me anything as it was such a quick fix. I really appreciated his knowledge and honesty. These are my favorite pair of pants, and I had accidentally messed up the zipper earlier at work, so being able to wear them again this week honestly made my day. Very affordable compared to most places & the turn around time is very quick! Beyond impressed with Alitailors! I took a Patagonia jacket with my boyfriend's school logo embroidered on it to be removed here so I could keep the jacket without the gaudy logo. They were upfront with me about how it may be a bit harder for them to do so since some of the embroidery was still going to be stuck in the jacket. I didn't have any expectations since it was a jacket given to me anyways. I didn't have a timeline so they mentioned they'd get to it within 3 weeks. By the second week, I received a text it was done and when I picked it up, there were just minor fuzz and threads in the jacket that mostly came out within the second wash. I had lowered my expectations since I really thought they weren't going to be able to do it based on what they had said but they executed and delivered nicely and now I have a Patagonia I technically invested only a quarter of the price in thanks to their skillful embroidery removal. read more

I also brought in a jacket that I thought the zipper needed replacing but he fixed it without replacing the zipper and didn't charge me for it! Update 5/16/24 Wow!!!! I am super impressed by the quality of work by Ali. First of all, my jeans were ready by Wednesday even though he said he would have it by Saturday. He got it done well over the time estimate he gave me. Amazing. Secondly, the fit is perfect. I mean look at the comparison here of the before and after. It's literally night and day. From 4 sizes too big and literally falling to my ankles to perfectly fitting and sitting perfectly. Lastly there overall quality of work is just well done.
