The experience was very typical for jiffy lubes. The workers were so friendly, I assumed the CEO was there visiting to look at how they did things. They did everything but say "your grace" after every comment. If you need a oil change, or a ego boost, I'd recommend this one. read more

If i could give 0 stars, i would, this place is a scam i went up here this morning and and was charged closed to 1000 dollars for front rotors and a set of break pads, not only did it take all of three hours, the employees are constantly joke, rambling or playing around, or on their phones. they constantly try and tact things on to increase your TOTAL, i also saw one of the employees taking someone's air filter to the dumpster, and when he walked back out the filter in his hand appeared to be dirty with oil stains. then he walked up to a customer and said your filter looks like it needs to be changed, absolutely insane to witness. after the 3 hour wait I'm told after all services rendered we now need approval, when i told Winston or whatever his name is the man i was dealing with that my vehicle is a fleet vehicle, the correct way would have been to identify the issue, then notify my fleet for approval for repairs, then render repairs, Winston was very rude, gave me the middle finger, and told me he doesn't fight, he Shoots, while pointing his fingers at me, as if to shoot me. when i left for some reason one of your employees purposefully sabotaged my front right blinker, so that it would not work, it was working before i came, when i came back to get it fixed I'm told to get in line, then they threatened me because i refused to have to wait, for a mistake they made, 20 mins later the manager comes out rips the bulb out of the socket and slams it on the ground, rushes to put a new bulb in and does it in a manner you could not believe, then slams my hood with full force. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE, if you value your hard-earned money, have self-respect for yourself and family, and value your life because driving without a way to signal is dangerous and illegal. Completely wasted our time. Kept telling us "it'll be done in 30 mins". We were there for 3 hours. On 3 separate occasions we were passed off to a different staff member who started the whole process over. And to top it off, they didn't even fix my A/C. For the price they're charging to change tires you'd expect they'd take better care of your wheels, especially aftermarket rims with a unique finish that can't easily be touched up. Shoutout to our local community heroes! The office staff, the boss man, and my tech, Matthew! They go over and above to make sure everything works and looks better than it did before you got there! I don't have a lot of time and energy for the old ways and waiting for someone in the family to help change my oil... so this is the next best option and I will admit, a lot more thorough because of the diagnostics and safety inspections. Matthew , my technician, took time to explain the process, findings, and the costs involved. I really appreciated his professionalism and courteous attitude. The services provided with the time efficiency were very nice, and why it's not 1*. However, I was up-sold on a tune up and overcharged even when I pointed it out twice. Came in for an Oil Change (89.99). No issues, had to since I don't have a garage/driveway. They remove both filters (without asking) and upsell to change them. Okay, It's convenient. Then bring you over to the computer and show you prices for two more: spark plugs ($149.99) and rear differential ($189.99). I said no thanks to the rear differential, but was okay with the overdue spark plugs being changed... go inside to pay, now it says they were 209. I went back and forth with the gentleman twice, and he assured me 149 was for the R.D. And 189 was for the sparks and with tax it was 209. Well, I get home and review the receipt, 89.99 + 29.99+59.99+209 = 388.97... approx 417 with tax...wait, he JUST told me that the 209 included tax and swore he was right. I'm fact, it seems I was right, and I was forced to pay an extra $60 for a service you upsold me on. If you're going to upsell, get the price right. read more

I was in the area and thought to get my oil changed while here. I pulled up and no one came out to greet me, take my keys, ask for my service of interest, nothing. This is odd as the other Jiffy lubes offer door to door service. I had to go in and ask for assistance. I shared with the desk clerk that no one was outside. He sent me back out to leave my keys in the car. It was hot as crap and I'm out there waiting for someone to grab the keys. Soon someone came to drive my car in the bay. After about 15 minutes, someone came to get me to tell me what they found. They mentioned that because of type of oil filter, there would be an additional charge. I've been going to JL for years and never heard this. The gentleman shared that their location charges extra, it's not Jiffy Lube as a whole. I told them to drive my car out and give me my keys. It was lunchtime and he began express checks while I was in the car which was pretty cool. Very confident and clear explaining everything he was about to do and why. Made recommendations and gave me a discount when he realized my stress of paying for an unexpected but neccesary service. Very professional but all the guys at Laurel are. I've been a customer for years, even after moving to neighboring counties. I still make the drive to the Laurel JL, and with the service David provided today will keep me coming back. When I say I love this franchise and my laurel MD location. I never have to wait my service is anyways professional and they never harass me or upscale me on something not needed. The location is easy to get to but not a while lot of parking. The inside and bathroom are clean and they always have their coffee got and ready even though I never had a cup it's what I've observed. BE WARNED, they sabotage vehicles at this location. I had a bag peanut shells put in my car hood the first time I went to this location and the second time I had 2 pennies put in the cigarette lighter or car charger port. I wrote a review a few months ago but management some how got yelp to delete my review. I spoke to management and they basically covered for the employees their and made it seem like I'm the one that put pennies and peanut shells in my own car. Just be careful and write a review and complain to the better business bureau if something shady happens to your vehicle at that location. Management handled it poorly, they didn't mention that they'd look into it or anything at all, they just covered for the employees there , there thing was to just deny that it ever happened. Bad service and poor management. They just want your money but won't be held accountable for anything that happens to your vehicle on their watch. On or around Sept 30, 2015 I got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube in Laurel, MD. The service technicians always disrespect my intelligence by pulling out my clean engine air filter and trying to get me to pay for them to put in a new one ($40 btw) This time I gotta lil snarky with them nothing rude but I let them know you cant bring me a clean air filter and try to sell a cow milk. They proceed with the oil change and after 30 minutes I have my vehicle back. So about a couple days after my oil change I notice my oil pressure light is blinking. I thought it was a fluke. No one's oil light EVER comes on. So I ignore it with the promise of checking my oil soon. The light eventually goes away and I forget. I go out of town and my vehicle remains parked for a week or so. Week 2 I come back into town and the oil light is flashing more now and Im getting worried. Yesterday I promised myself I would take time to check it. Tonight, 10/19/15 with a 4% iPhone battery, low cash (lost my debit card) and low gas. I heard a *CLACK CLACK CLACK* come from my car. Still in denial Im like no thats coming from the car behind me. I stop to get gas with my last $20 cash. Something said to me "Dont spend it all" So I put in $15 buy some gum and pocket $4 and some change. Well as Im pumping I check my oil dipstick. Low and behold THERES NO OIL IN MY VEHICLE. THERES NOT ONE DROP OF OIL IN MY CAR AND WHATS WORSE? IVE BEEN RIDING AROUND FOR 2 WEEKS WITH NO OIL IN MY CAR. A stranger named Hiram who noticed my plight and offered to loan me his funnel. He also checks my dipstick in disbelief. The one drop of oil on the dip stick is brown meaning they never put in any oil after draining my vehicle. I purchase three bottles of oil and put in my car. Now the oil is level in between the dots on my dip stick. Shame on you Jiffy Lube. YOU HAD ONE JOB! Change my oil and you failed. Whoever is responsible should get a firm reprimand. I hope this is not retaliation for snarkily refusing to have my CLEAN engine air filter replaced by Jiffy Lube for $40. I will be requesting a refund of $30 I paid for the oil change and that Jiffy Lube pays me for getting an oil change some place else. read more

This place was very resourceful created as soon as I pulled up with a hello welcome to jiffy the guy was kind and very informational about the services I noticed how every one worked together like nascar talked to a service advisor Charles who went over recommended services and their was no pressure. The Manger their I could recognize his name was Brian he was helpful in the end with the cashier process I even noticed some of the employees had work their 10 years plus I could tell they had me in and out less their 30 min. The district manager called me in defense of the manager it's clear they have worked together for some time now. Even though nothing was wrong with my vehicle prior to coming there, I even provided paperwork to him for a test that was done a day before my oil change that states the only issue was to change the air filter. Not even a day later my value cover and seal is cracked when they were the only one working on my vehicle in the past 24 hours. I never do reviews but I am long overdue for this one. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years. I have always gotten great service. But today they went above and beyond. After my oil change I was hearing a tapping in the front. I thought surely they left a tool under the hood or some thing was Loose. I went back and one of their wonderful employees took a little ride with me it turns out that my sunglasses on my dashboard were tapping against something. Thank goodness they did not dismiss a crazy old lady and helped me figure out the problem. To me these are the small things that make a business great. They have my business for life. read more

And last time I changed the oil, I had my oil stick stolen or lost, was never told about and next time I checked there was a piece of plastic in its stead. Don't go there. I mean its Jiffy Lube. Depending on when you go it can be busy but you will get what you expect. They will change the oil and do a routine inspection then try to sell you some maintenance thing for another $50. My dealership does it to me all the time and it costs twice as much there. The staff was nice and got me in and out in about 45 min, but I can see how people can have a different experience. The conventional oil that you guys use is subpar low quality conventional oil and as a result it led to immediate damages to my car. The tech who serviced my car was clearly inexperienced, uneducated on my car, lackadaisical, and negligent while dealing with my car. The whole experience proves this. They spent the entire service damaging my vehicle while trying to sell me additional services I didn't even ask for. In turn lead to a broken motor blower for my air conditioning. You sent me to another experienced mechanic shop to replace it. The mechanic Moe you sent me to initially stated you guys shouldn't have used that oil in my particular vehicle and that it made the sensors bad. I have visited Moe 8 times since my date of service to figure out why the check engine light was coming on. After his final inspection, he was sure it was due to a faulty oil change. I told Brian this and he immediately denied using the wrong oil. At the time of my initial service, The jiffy lube tech spent 0% time explaining to me the difference in the brands or types of oil or the quality. Im disappointed to find out that you would purposely put low quality or the wrong oil type in a car knowing the effect it will cause without educating the customer first. I'm giving a 4 Star review because I think the price was a little high. (A standard oil change was about $35.) Besides that, though, this Jiffy Lube location was AWESOME. I actually went first to a place down the street who said they would do an oil change for $25. Long story short, All Tune and Lube (the other store) had me wait for 2 hours and then it turned out they were out of standard oil (5W20). Jiffy Lube had a 15 minute wait and then a 15 minute service time. They were quick, courteous, and up-front about charges. Also, everyone was friendly and they vacuumed out my car. There may be cheaper places to get an oil change around, but if you value an hour of your time more than a deal, go to Jiffy Lube. They were professionals. read more

I went to this jiffy for an oil change a couple of months back and not even 10 minutes after leaving my check engine light comes on. I go back and I am informed that they don't service check engine lights. I took my car to the dealership yesterday to service the check engine light and was charged almost $300 for them to tighten my oil cap because when my oil was changed they did not tighten the cap when done. I can assure you that was my last oil change at any jiffy especially this one. read more

After a hectic search of trying to find someone to replace my headlight, I ran up on Jiffy Lube. Now I was being told that I had a wiring issue, being quoted $108.00, and being told that no one is working tonight. All by 3 different places. When I got there the people were super professional, and friendly. They replaced my fake "wiring issue" "108 dollars" "no mechanics available" headlight in 10 minutes or less. Kelvin was the sweetheart that actually fixed it and I was so grateful. Kaliq was the gentleman who assisted me with assurance and patience. I let hime know about my day and he was like no worries! So I went to Jiffy Lube this Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed while I was there they tried to sell me on a tire rotation my car only had 11,000 miles on it it definitely did not need a tire rotation and when I declined and unknowingly to me they did not do the oil changed and I paid for synthetic oil I paid for the best oil service not even 1000 miles later my car light comes on and says that I need to change my oil since I looked at the oil and it was dark and thick so I had a mechanic look at it and he said that I need to go back and make them do what they didn't do upon calling the manager decides to say he's going to check my Vin number to make sure I didn't get it changed anywhere else go knock yourself out I say because Jiffy Lube is the only place that I've ever been since I bought the car with 0 miles on it then later I meet someone who used to work at Jiffy Lube and he told me yeah they probably did not change the oil he said to me if I only knew what goes on there when people aren't looking I would probably fall on my face if you value your car don't go to this place!!!!They are not an ethical shop they are a rip off con artists and are either Teaching or they tolerate bad behavior in their shop I will never ever visit another Jiffy Lube for the rest of the times that I am alive and own a car they wanted to look at my car but I am not letting them touch my car ever again seriously do not go to this Jiffy Lube find another place if you value your transportation read more

Been going here for years and have always enjoyed good service but starting last summer it's clear something is wrong. Intake is inefficient and confusing to the point you're concerned your car will be properly serviced. Tire valve stem covers missing, wipers installed with no blades .. just a random sample of a lack of attention to detail. Finally, the location representative advised me they've dumped brand named Pennzoil and other synthetics in favor of their own no-name brand. Really? It's come to this .. pushing expensive oil we've never heard of? It's a tough job they have, not one I'd really enjoy doing but they play a critical role in car maintenance and even safety. Given what's at stake, this Jiffy Lube location has my attention. I'm giving them 3 stars for now given their past excellent service but one more show like that and I'm gone. read more

On or about 6/24/15, I took my car to this location for an oil change, tires rotated & a suggested filter change for the AC unit. Two weeks later the air stop working, blowing hot air when on. 7/20/15 I took it there for the car to get looked at. I was told 1 of 2 things could be the problem. Freon had possibly ran out or an electrical problem. Manager Brian offered these solutions but wanted to charge me $34.99 to check to see if I needed Freon. Really? I work in customer service & if a customer is not satisfied with a service, we try to accommodate. If my business is not worth a courtesy Freon check & as much as I bring my car in for service, Jiffy Lube has lost my business & quite a few once I tell my story. read more

I got my service in about 35-40 minutes and every interaction from the young man who greeted me at my car, to the cashier upon check out were nothing but nice and professional. The people are nice but they don't give you realistic time frames. Also, based on their system you are rolling the dice when choosing a lane. If the car in front of you needs additional service they won't move you to the next lane. It's possible to be next and have three customers come in after you and get serviced before you do. Initially they tell you it's going to be 20 or 30 minutes and you're lucky if you get out in an hour. This is the reason I stopped going to Jiffy Lube 9 years ago. I guess I'll go back to the local service station mechanic. They definitely give more realistic time frames. The key to improving service at this Jiffy Lube is simply communication. read more

Oil change was quick. Lots of hidden charges do not believe you are going to really pay 38.99 or whatever special price is. They charge for oil filters, charge for reasonable oil such as pen soil. They use an off brand for the normal oil change. They try and get you to change your cabin and air filter. This may not be a bad deal. Check how much it it retail and the pain to do it. It was a difference for me of $1 so they did that. Overall had to come back to have them do everything but it was ok service. read more

I have been going to the Jiffy Lube in Laurel since I have owned my car over 7 years now. The price for an oil change has gotten very expensive. I get the synthetic oil. They charged me $85.00 for oil, an oil filter and putting windshield wash in the reservoir. On my receipt, it states that my car floor was vacuumed, and the exterior windows were washed. Neither one of these two items were done. I had a $5.00 off coupon that I presented which wasn't taken off. It is a good thing that I checked the receipt before I left. I when back inside and they issued me a credit on my credit card. I am going to shop around for my next oil change. I am sure I can find someplace less expensive and does what they advertised for the price. The quality of this store has deteriorated. read more

This place is a joke when it comes to topping off fluids. When I went in for my oil change I asked if topping off power steering fluid was included in the fluid top off and I was told it was. I waited the TWO hours it took to do my oil change only to find out they hadn't topped off any fluids. My low wash light was still on indicating they never added washer fluid and my power steering fluid was never topped off which it desperately needed. I immediately went back to speak to the manager where he told me that they refused to top that off in my car because of where everything is located. I explained how it is to be included and I made a point in asking about it. He didn't want to listen and basically told me I'm wrong and they can refuse to do something if they don't feel like doing it. Since nothing was ever really done to my vehicle and I had to wait two hours when it wasn't even busy I demanded a refund which they refused to give me. I've reported them to the BBB and have warned everyone what a joke this place is. I will never go back and have since found somewhere else to go to that does what they promise and I'm in and out in 30 minutes even when it's busy. read more
