The Meineke on Rhode Island Av quoted me a $425 Job after carefully looking at the truck on a lift.

To only find out it was sold. Yep, I was a bit heated because I had my credit ran. Read that over again, I actually came into the dealer without a check this time. They searched for another car located in PA. They told me they would follow up in the morning, since it's possible it may have been sold as well. I went home a little salty. I felt like again a game had been played to get me in the door and collect my info. However, 2 wks later Mike called and promised he had a car available. I came in the door brought my attitude with me as I still felt played. Yet, Mike was still calm. He knew I wasn't playing and assured me in every way he could that the car was fully available and ready to go out the door with my name on it. We did. I appreciate Mikes follow up and consistency in the "made up crazy" car market. They did of course offer other packages as all dealers do for security system, ding, and maintenance. The young lady was patient still explained and answered questions. She even went over it again when my family returned to the table just to be sure. The finance guy was cool and answered questions we had. He worked his sales game too. The manager was great, understood the reasoning behind my challenges and met me where he could. I left with a smile, tude thrown out the window. Got the car, they made a sale. I will return here again. Check out my other car experience a few months ago. This was 1001 times better then the first. I appreciate the patience and explanation for every question I had to work through whatever may have been a challenge in understanding. Thank you. This notes I don't only post bad reviews Mike thank you, I was about to call your parents if that car was not available. Somebody was going to get headlocked! This review is strictly pertaining to sales.

I was unaware at the time that they were required by law to submit a time-of-sale report to the IRS Energy Credits Online system, and give me a copy of the accepted report to file with my tax return to get the $4000 rebate. When the IRS rejected my claim due (they had no record of the sale), I immediately reached out to the dealership - and that's when the run-around began. I have received assurance after assurance that they are "looking into it," but they are just stalling. I'm convinced at this point that they signed the rebate over to themselves. I have the email thread with the endless promises to look into it. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!

They're extremely honest for example if they can't help you they'll suggest you go somewhere else they've actually driven me home before because I'm handicapped & didn't have a way to get there. They're very close to my house & they're always extremely accommodating & friendly. All car repairs are expensive but here they're at least reasonable. I'd recommend them to anyone with a car. They're the best mechanics I've ever used.

He uses this establishment because he says they treat him "right". Far from home but I work on their side of town. Before I made the appointment I asked the price for a basic oil change and to have them check a tire that was always low after a few days. Their answer: DEPENDS. You can't pin down a price because they change everything on you as they go. Why can't basic oil change/synthetic for X car model be XXX? I am pretty particular with my car since it has been well taken care of and I was tired of price gouging and upselling by all the car dealers. When I arrived the mechanic guy finally came in and he seemed very odd to me because he did not seem to understand my questions: as in what will X and Y cost me with taxes, disposal fees, etc. He was an older man. Finally gave me prices but added that those prices might change. HUH? It took over 5 hours for them to inspect the tire, and a simple oil change after I was told to return in an hour. When I got there some other tech came to me and said I needed a list of things, etc. WUT? Nonsense. OK I said I will bring the car back and do each as I can afford, oh boy, my remark INCENSED the chubby man who overheard my conversation with the tech. OH NO YOU MUST DO THIS as soon as possible... WTH? I KNEW none of the other "repairs" were needed. I wanted confirmation about these bogus recommendations and to see why and what their reasons were for having them done? Possibility of XYZ equals NONE to me and he did not even code those possibilities. Not enough care and time to write up what was needed. Quality of work is shoddy too, car did not run better, was the same with the tire. THE dirty and sneaky repair shop is what I call them. OH and my friend loves them because he pays ANY PRICE these guys ask and yes they fix it promptly if you pay whatever THEY ASK, but mark up and cost of labor is in the stratosphere. There is no value in this shop unless desperation is your only choice. The lower techs are nice but the tech mgrs, office managers are rude, inconsiderate, and have no idea how to do business other than the Cro-Magnon way!! Workmanship is shoddy, zero customer service, very dirty place and no place to sit and wait. Scare tactics are just ridiculous and pricing is HIGHER than the car dealers. NEVER AGAIN. I would not recommend Greenbelt Auto and Truck Repair to ANYONE!

Al was a pleasure to do business with. A lot of times in my past I've found these types of environments to be intimidating with all sorts of men carrying on all over the place, so I was skeptical about going by myself. Nope- here it was all good. They didn't try to take advantage and was just upfront and honest. No funny stuff no extra madness just business BOOM in and out. I'm gonna stick with this place.

It pains me to write this review as I have been a very VERY loyal customer to Dr Auto Repair for…read moremany years. Today, however, crossed a line for me and I am compelled to leave this feedback for others. I took my vehicle in for brake work and in usual fashion, the shop turned around the repairs quickly. My issue was with my pick up today and what transpired thereafter (resulting in being awoken from a nap to banging on my door by shop workers). Context and back story here is I am in the IT industry and had a late night software deployment last night. I dropped my kids off this morning at day care (my wife has been out of town at this point on travel for a few weeks, so i am extra tired) and then made my way via uber over to the shop to pick up my vehicle. Upon arriving (I was paying by cash), I told the shop who i was, what vehicle i was picking up - and was told the bill was already taken care of, and that I was all set and good to go. Now here's the key detail - My truck which was serviced was boxed in, thus in order for me to get it out in the first place, another vehicle had to be moved by the shop (not by me), which they did. As I was driving home, I had a call for something pertaining to my software release from the earlier morning come up, and during that call missed a call from the shop. Upon returning home I took a nap since I had a late night of work + exhaustion from the kids. I was awoken not too long after by banging on my door (not just once, multiple times; which awoke me from an upstairs room). When I went to open my door I was confronted by shop workers, and told that I left without paying (and the way they were grilling me; on purpose). I told them I was told the bill was taken care of and good to go. I went through the details of everything that happened, and realized that there was a mix up where it was thought I was a different customer (which is fine, mistakes happen). I gladly paid immediately after there was a clarification. However, I was very very put off by the shop's tactics and intent to portray this as if I knowingly and intentionally did something wrong here. Even after explaining what happened, one of the two of the workers that came out continued to bash me as if I maliciously did this. The kicker about all of this. The work for my vehicle had not been fully completed at the time of pick up. I called back to speak with Mr. Al (who is very nice) and explained what happened and he agreed there was a misunderstanding. It was then called out to me that I needed to bring the vehicle back to complete the remaining work. I never received a receipt for the transaction, and was never apologized to by the workers that came out to gang up over the misunderstanding. I am big on loyalty and customer satisfaction, and this entire experience has soured me to this shop and/or recommending it to others in the future. All it would have taken is giving a listen with an open ear, vs assuming that I somehow moved the vehicles boxing the vehicle in myself in order to somehow move the vehicle without visiting the office for payment and get the key (which i did), then being told I was all set and good to go. I want to stress Mr. Al is a very nice man and apologized on behalf of the workers that came out, however this experience has left me upset all day given the assumption that I had ill intent after being a loyal returning customer for all of these years.
