I have used this business for oil changes and emissions for the past few years. We have used them on and off before that. They are attentive when you pull in. You go to a nice, clean waiting room, while they work on your car. They even have sodas and popcorn. They come and tell you if there are any extras. You can approve or not. Went in for routine oil change at Gibson Blvd SE location. Immediately upon pulling into the street after service, pickup hesitated, jerked and started to die each time I pressed on the gas. Was able to make a U-turn back into Jiffy Lube parking lot while pickup kept jerking and trying to die. Once I stopped, the vehicle did die. Manager found the air intake had not been reattached to the air filter. Air pressure in tires had not been checked. Three tires were at 33, and one at 34 psi. (Should be 35 psi.) Alert on dash that oil needed to be changed was not reset, was not vacuumed. I'm so thankful I didn't have the tires rotated!!! I have been going to this particular location for 15 years. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of and improper service. I will not recommend or go back. read more

Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle at the 5812 Gibson Blvd SE Location......I made the mistake of making them provide window cleaning and vacuuming as per their posted services only to have them steal a high end knife that I had left on the seat.....They of course denied the theft but refused to look at the camera....Service is very poor at this location....I will not be taking my vehicles there anymore even though I have used them for several years....new crew not good Also they no longer provide invoices.....go figure read more

A lack of respect for your customers - not customer experience, not wait times, not the ethereal idea of value received, but just good old respect- a lack of r e s p e c t (sing it!) will trickle down into every aspect of your business. This comes from the top, and how district managers treat their employees. I think that Jiffy Lube does not have a culture of respect, let alone empathy, for their customers (and that probably extends to the rank and file employees as well). That has certainly been my experience over the past month. In mid-June I took my wife's car for a routine oil change and tire rotation. During the service, someone took off the damaged skid plate. I understand that this is a minor part and a routine thing to do. However, we have a laundry list of things that weren't done subsequent to this. First, I was not informed. Secondly, they didn't secure the other parts that were attached to the skid plate. They didn't order a new part. They didn't call me when the new part came in. Two weeks later, I was told that they had the part, a bay, and the time to replace it. Only the first of those things was true. I had to wait in my car, in the heat, for a bay to open up. The manager of the store didn't contact me to tell me what had happened, despite my repeated requests. After I filled out their online complaint form for a second time, the store manager called me back. Because it had been weeks at that point, I was trying to contact the district manager who works for the franchise. He finally called me back only to tell me that because I had been curt/forceful with his employees that he wouldn't apologize. The thing is, I have been pleasant, polite, and understanding throughout this process, which didn't get me anywhere. Once my agitation reached the tipping point and I more assertively advocated for myself, then things started to happen. However, not nearly enough. After 5 vehicles and 15 years, I am done with Jiffy Lube. No communication, a weak apology a month later, and no attempt at all to actually communicate or empathize. The place is okay until they screw something up, and then you are on your own. If you attempt to hold their feet to the fire over one of their mistakes, they will simply label you as a problem customer. read more

We had the oil changed a couple days before we left on our epic road trip rolling through ten states and five thousand miles. (And still going) When we got to Albuquerque, we were overdue for an oil change. I looked up Jiffy Lube #1938 and read all of the good revoews. We were staying a couple miles away so we flew in early with our phones and headphones in hand planning on being there an hour or longer. Raul greeted us with a smile then got us signed in. They changed the oil, filters, wiper blades, topped fluids, vacuumed and had us out within thirty minutes! Great service! I usually love Jiffy Lube for most of my car maintenance. They always do an excellent and reasonably quick job. However, today I took my Jeep Renegade in to Jiffy Lube at 7200 San Antonio Dr NE Albuquerque, NM 87109, which has an aftermarket wind shield on the leading edge of the hood which was in perfect shape as I took the car in. I noticed the hood wasn't quite shut when I came home, so I went to shut it and noticed one of the brackets that connects the shield to the hood was broken, where it wasn't shut. It looked like some fiddling had taken place to make it look as if nothing had happened. The service I requested was all top notch, but that was a problem. Luckily, I had an extra bracket hanging around and fixed the problem, But the fact that no one owned up to it, and let me know what had occurred put a sour note on an otherwise good experience. read more

Earlier this week, I stopped by this location toward the very end of the business day. I was greeted by the nicest technician, Leroy, who was courteous and patient as he asked how he could help me. After explaining the problem I was having with my car, this very responsible employee quickly went about taking care of what I needed help with. He had the energy as if I was his first customer of the day, not the last one. After the day I had at work, this was the exact way I needed to end it with a professional and caring worker who was dedicated to resolving my car issues. I plan to return to this location in the future for service, even though I live some distance away. I came for a car battery about a month ago. Had to wait an extra hour and a half because they didn't have the right one in stock. Was not a good deal on price. Today I came in for an oil change, after they removed the oil filter, I was told my car had 2 different oil filters and I was going to have to wait another hour or two until they could find one. They didn't even offer a discount for the long wait time. I will be going across the street to Break masters for now on. I would NOT recommend this location. read more

To my dismay I was leaving work a few days ago and noticed my back tire was very low. My car had given me a clue several days earlier in the form a dash light, which I promptly and consistently ignored. It could be ignored no more. I stopped at the on base gas station...no air. I stopped at a gas station right outside of KAFB...air out of order. Thinking that I was about to get a flat, I stopped at the next gas station.. AIR OUT OF ORDER. The panic is setting in and I'm silently wondering...is it so hard to give people air. It's air! It's everywhere. Searching for yet another gas station i come across this Jiffy Lube. I pull in and a young man asks me a few questions. I explain and head to the waiting room. Free popcorn, soda, coffee and water! Score! The attendant comes to find me, hands me my keys and tells me they are all done. They put 5lbs of air in my tire. I say...what do I owe you? He says "oh nothing, you have a nice day". Uhhhhh....what? Stopped by at 8 AM on a Saturday morning when they just opened. Three of them worked on my car right away! It was a comprehensive service besides the oil change - they cleaned the exterior windows, vacuumed the interior, inspected a list of items, and identified things that need to be taken care of. The staff was friendly and courteous. They explained things in detail without being pushy. They also worked fast - took only 25 minutes to change the oil, engine air filter, and battery. A year ago I hit a curb in front of jiffy lube at 6:00 am. We were on our way to Lovelace clinic. My girlfriend walked from there, while I was to change the tire & meet her there. One complication after another left me with sad & frustrating results. In drives John, the mgr, early to prepare for the day. After seeing my situation, he quietly gathered tools, made coffee & came to my aid. His floor jack had an attitude so he went accross the street, borrowed, then carried one from another shop. John gave me a true emotional lift when I needed it most. A company is judged by it's employees, Jiffy Lube has a true winner in John. Treat him good, as he definitely deserves it. I've been here before and had generally been pleased with their service. However my latest experience was exceptionally bad. I appreciate their sense of urgency when changing my oil but not at the expense of careless mistakes. They always tear apart my glove box to pull out my cabin air filter and never attempt to properly replace the glove box dampener (the thing that makes the box open slowly). This particular time whoever went after the cabin air filter obviously muscled their way to it since the dampener was left in two pieces and I thought it had been broken, but fortunately I was able to fix it. Additionally, whoever checked my transmission fluid did not completely place the dip stick back into position which resulted in transmission fluid spilling everywhere as I drove around and wasn't noticed until arriving home. The employees at this location are friendly and seem to go out of their way to be helpful but I can't see myself going here again unless there's extra effort to make sure mistakes like this are prevented. read more

Came here from out of town to go to my brothers graduation for school (go brother!) and my dad decided to get his car an oil change. We came to jiffy lube and were immediately greeted by the staff and sent inside to wait. Michael, one of the employees, was so incredibly nice and knowledgable. He explained everything in detail and honored the coupon we found online for an oil change. It took them 15 minutes to change the oil, wash the windows, vacuum, check the air filter etc. seriously...
