The young woman, Mariah, in the store was friendly and professional. She checked the battery as i watched and showed me the reading. She suggested that as low a reading as it was, a new battery was probably the best way to go. I looked up an average price for a new battery for my car and she quoted me an amount in that range. First of all, I'm very diappointed in this company. I don't know what went wrong with them. I took my wife's nissan kicks to the store at cottonwood. They ended up over filled the vehicle with oil. We almost broke down in Flagstaff AZ because the engine over heated. We took it to a shop there and they told us that it was almost a quart over filled so they took some of the oil out to make it the right level. At the same time we had the transmission flushed and they didn't put enough transmission fluid in the transmission. I then took my truck to the store and to get an alignment done. We made an appointment for 1:00pm and 3 hours later they still haven't gotten to my truck. So we left ticked off. I decided to give them one more try. i took my truck to the store on carlisle to get an alignment. At least they got to it on time, but after I drove it 30 miles my steering started to feel wierd. When pressed the brakes to get off the interstate, it pulled left aggressively and when I accerlated, it pull to the right. When I got home, I check the wheels and I found out that the mechanic didn't bolt my upper control arm at all. The gasket was missing and nut wasn't even tighten at all. I was so pissed and wanted to speak to the manager and never came out to talk to me. What a wuss. So if you're reading this, I would take your vehicle somewhere else. As you can see they don't know what they're doing and their service sucks. Never again. I went to Big O and they were wonderful and did a great and tremendous job on my vehicles. read more

we took my grandson's car for a simple oil change at this location where we have gone for 20 years. They drained the old oil and forgot to put in new oil and ruined the engine. The manager kept telling us that the engine would be repaired but instead they came back with the blue book of the car and refused to repair the car. The blue book value of course is not enough to replace the car and they don't seem to care one bit. despite being customers for 20 years, ruining the car means nothing to them. I would absolutely not recommend this location and now am not sure about Firestone in general. Customers mean nothing to them and ruining a car doesn't seem to be a problem for them. We were in Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta and noticed one the HID headlight were out. We just had it in for repair at a Firestone in Scottsdale, I have to thank Daniel Levison the service manager, David the Technician and Jason who did the final paperwork. They looked at the situation and determined that it was still under warranty and replaced the HID light. Their comment to customer service is rare in today's world. Went in for a complete vehicle inspection. After 1 hour they were done and never called me. THE WORST PART- they tried to charge me for a full vehicle inspection when they only performed a courtesy inspection. The paper they filled out was a courtesy check and they never checked the front suspension (like I asked them to in the beginning). I was very nice and told them I appreciated their business but that a courtesy check was performed. The front desk lady kept trying to dismiss me RUDELY. Saying okay bye. Bye. Bye. This is one of those nicer Firestones to come to because you have people who work the front desk that care about getting you in and out with the best price possible. I got an oil change done yesterday and went in without an appointment--not my usually m.o. It was great though and I was out of there within the hour. They have wifi, so it helps when you need to get some work done on the fly or if you just need to Pinterest your life away. I used to go to the Jiffy Lube near my house until it got too expensive and I kept having mess ups on my vehicle that needed repeated review by other mechanics. The other good thing about this location is its proximity to other businesses you can eat at or peruse while you wait for your vehicle to finish up. I feel like a lot of mechanics get a bad rap and reviews because they didn't like the price of what it was going to take to get their car fixed. Or worse, they brought the car in to "check if they were right" and then complain by how much it costs for the labor or the part. Let's be real folks, if you knew what was wrong with your vehicle and you knew how to fix it, then you're probably a mechanic and shouldn't be taking it to an automotive shop anyway. Stop berating your mechanic and assuming they're always trying to take you for a ride. If you don't have regular maintenance done to keep your vehicle up-to-date, then that's on you and you should probably bite the bullet on your pride. They were 10 minutes before closing and i had motor oil that need to be discarded. The website clearly says you can recycle old motor oil and even says the Montgomery location is the closets one to me. Upon arrival they say they can't recycle motor oil. The manager said it's a policy update. I tried a different Firestone. I went to the location on Juan Tabo and let them know I need to recycle used oil and sure enough there was no problem and they said there was no update in policy! I used to like doing business at this Firestone location. But things have changed. I'm not happy with their service anymore. One of my vehicles wouldn't start so I had it towed to this Firestone. They diagnosed it and concluded it needed a new Electronic Control Module. The cost estimate was $3,000! But after installation I would have to take it to a dealership to have it programmed. I had the vehicle towed to a Jiffy Lube MultiCare facility. After a few hours of diagnosis they determined a relay went bad. The part was $110! Glad I didn't have Firestone do the repair! I had a tire rotation performed on my Mercedes today at this location. I was greeted promptly by the service manager Dusty Rhodes. He answered many questions I had about servicing my vehicle, and explained the reasons in detail. I usually research everything myself. He also did this in front of me on his computer. I've brought my trucks to the Montgomery location Firestone for several years now. Danny and his team are thorough, professional, and consistent. I know when I take my truck to Firestone I am not only going to be provided an accurate quote of the work to be completed, I'm also going to hear a full explanation of why it needs to be done, and repair items are prioritized based on my budget at the time. I brought my vehicle into this location initially for an alignment. I had just paid a large sum of money for suspension work at another shop in town, and my truck would not stay in alignment for more than a day or two. I called the shop that had completed the work, and was told they could schedule me two weeks out to take a look. I didn't think waiting two weeks was reasonable so I called Danny at Firestone and he scheduled me the following day. The mechanic at Firestone not only diagnosed why I was having this problem, but had suggestions as to how to address it. When I need anything tire, alignment, or general maintenance related, I know I can call Firestone and be scheduled in a timely manner, and at a reasonable cost. I went in to get an oil change and an emissions test. Fair price and everyone seemed nice. Once they finished up, they called me and I was told that they found a piece of metal in my LEFT rear tire, and I was given a sales pitch on their current tire sale. When I got to the store to pay, I asked if someone could show me the metal in the tire, and after some awkward reluctance and me kind of insisting that I want to see it, someone walked me to my car and started looking at my RIGHT rear tire. He attempted to show me where the metal was, but I didn't see anything or feel anything in the tire. Needless to say I didn't get new tires. Then, the very next day, as soon as I rolled my windows down, my front driver's side window just fell into the door and shattered inside my car door. I obviously can't say that Firestone somehow messed with my windows, but it seems suspicious, especially after being lied to about having metal in my tire. They tried to sell me four items rather than one as I directed them to do on initial discussion. Tech stated his machine would not read problem and once I told him I had already had the problem diagnosed he stated he was a certified Ford tech and he had never seen these rims or tires on my year of Ford and after I told him I bought the car new and they were original equip he finally came to same conclusion as I had stated initially. Then upon pick up check engine light was on. I spoke to desk person (Isaac) and he stated he didn't know why the tech who pulled it out would do that.... then he asked two techs in shop for a scanner they were laughing and looking my was and nodding toward me and said they didn't have a scanner or couldn't find one... I finally demanded them to check it. they finally pulled it in and read the code. the desk person said my car was ready and they cleared the code. I asked what was the code and was it related to issue I brought it in for. he said oh I don't know let me ask... he came back and said the tech said oh it said O2 sensor. I ask what bank and location he said oh he didn't know and the tech erased the code.. wow sub standard service and information. It was obvious they were ready to leave and didn't want to provide any help or service even though they had 45+ minutes left prior to close. Horrible experience! read more

Given an appointment at the end of the day. I walk in at the time and tell the counterman that I was given a 4:00pm appointment. He looks and looks through his computer screens with a puzzled expression and asks me, "who made your appointment?" At this point I think, (great! I don't have an appointment), so I say, "I dunno, some idiot." At this point he gives me a lecture about calling people in the shop idiots and goes back to the service bay and returns to the counter and tells me that the manager made the appointment and that I called him an idiot. OK....if you know that your manager made the appointment, why are you asking me who made the appointment? Perhaps the manager is an idiot because the telephone number that he entered for me over the phone has two mistakes in it that would never allow them to notify me when the work would be done. After everything is straightened out, the estimate is $144. This is for replacing one broken stud on one wheel. Give me a break! read more
