I appreciated the work and knowledge on my car. Very honest company that there were no answers when we brought it here first. Then we had a light go on and a resolution to the tire problem. Grateful for the service and knowledge. Highly respectable location and highly recommended! Elias was professional and gave us all the answers. Happy with the full service and a great rate! read more

I know these folks from my construction days. Almost every contractor that I worked with used these guys exclusively. I called today for tires on our Volkswagen Tiguan and the woman who helped me was extremely knowledgeable and quite helpful. They did not have what I needed in stock but were helpful in sizing the rite tire as the suv has aftermarket wheels and a non stock wheel diameter. They were able to help me with the correct size tire and load rating. Thank you for the help Albuquerque tire. read more

Isn't it a pain in the ass, when you go to get tires from one of those "discount tire" places and they put the new tires on only the to then they tell you..."oh hey man...like...your truck is outta alignment...like really bad man...and like, I'd go and get it an alignment...man...just saying...". Well, fear not America for you'll never hear those words utter here At Albuquerque tire! Why, you ask?? Because their words would come out like this..."um sir, we've found a slight deviation in your alignment and your camber is also slightly tilted inward and we would suggest an alignment prior to the installation of the new tries we're recommending". Full service rocks!! Came here after reading a few other yelper reviews...so thank you. Great service, fast and price competitive. What the hell else do you need to know!!! No brainer! read more

Once again Albuquerque Tire has helped us with issues we had with new/used vehicle tires. A professional, honest and knowledgeable family run business that delivers beyond expectations. In the service industry where quality and experience is inconsistent, Abq Tire never lets us down. Don't step over a dollar to pick up a dime by using inferior tire service and quality. Albuquerque Tire is the best! read more

These guys were awesome! Found the right toes for me and made sure I knew I needed brakes on the back of my truck. No pressure to let them do it, just making sure I am safe. I'll go back next time I need any work done at all! read more

Was looking for a reputable & honest place to do an alignment, I am always apprehensive & worried about who to go to as most are like used car salesman, dishonest & always looking to drain you with unwanted services. I called and spoke to "Richard" who was professional & helpful about assuring me about pricing and to take care of what I only wanted repaired at that time. Finally a place that won't try to sneak in additional charges "hallelujah" Brought my vehicle in they assessed the proper alignment that it needed, repaired it and walked out of there paying less than $68.00 for my services. Wow! I highly recommend Albuquerque Tire if your looking for professional, honest & affordable service needs and ask for Richard as he is very knowledgeable and understands in taking care of his customers. read more

Quality work! I always have my tires rotated and checked over here before taking a road trip (no charge if you purchased them here). A little more expensive than the bargain tire shops in town, but this is one area where you get what you pay for. Tires are important enough that I don't want to skimp. The people have impressed me (and more than one local mechanic who have recommended this place to me) as knowledgeable and professional, and they have a tabletop Frogger arcade console in the waiting room! C'mon, what more could you want! read more

Terrible customer service. I had a coupon for a tire rotation so I called and asked to make an appointment. The guy said they were not taking appointments for tire rotations and that I could stop by and it would be fast. This place is 30 minutes away from where I live so I made the drive across town and when I got there a woman at the front desk said they are ONLY doing tire rotations by appointment. She said I could either wait several hours or make an appointment and come back another day. Absolute waste of my time. I will never be using this place again. read more

Top notch staff. Honest and fair, I'll definitely go back. Bought new tires here and they are great. Prices compete with the big chains. Dealership told me I need new break pads and I forgot to check for myself. I almost got new ones but these guys told me they were still fine. read more

I waited for 1 hour for (I had an appointment) for them to tell me I had a pinhole in one tire that they couldn't repair. They then informed me that I had to replace all 4 of my tires. Three of the 4 tires had 50% wear, one with a puncture and the forth tire with 10% wear. They refused to replace the tire with the pinhole with a new tire and insisted I needed 4 new tires. While it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace all tires in this circumstance, it is NOT a requirement. Albuquerque Tire was very good in the past but a fairly young man claiming to be owner was also rude. Be careful with these guys they are no longer honest and trying to sell you tires you don't need. Also, as a senior citizen they were very disrespectful to me. Very dissatisfied. read more

I was needing work done on my mini and this place was recommended. The staff is friendly and helpful. If I need more work down they can do I will be back. read more

Driving home to Santa Fe this afternoon on a fresh set of best quality Michelin's, I had time to reflect on my experiences with Albuquerque Tire, thus: I've bought my tires here since they started in business back in '82. They're honest, knowledgeable and friendly. It happens that they also carry the best tires available. I'm a Michelin fan and drive about 35,000 miles a year on these great tires. In the last five sets I've purchased new from Albuquerque Tire, I've never had a flat or slow leak. They've always taken care to be sure my car is well aligned and that the tires are balanced perfectly. I have them do periodic rotation and balancing to maximize tire life. There's never been any high pressure salesmanship here either, just straight and honest answers to all the questions I've ever had about my tires or tires that I might purchase. Any time I'm there, I feel like I'm among trusted friends. The shop and waiting area are nice. The location is easy to access and if you have to wait any length of time, there are a couple of good restaurants close by. They'll have all my future business because they know what they're doing and understand that good tires and good tire work could save your life on the road. Even Max the Lab is friendly when he's around. read more

Excellent customer service and turn around time. All employees I interacted with were polite and friendly! Car was done within quoted time and fixed. Definitely Recommend! read more

With great foreboding, we drove my little Toyota to Albuquerque tire, believing that two of its tires were kaput. We expected to spend at least a couple hundred dollars replacing the tires. When we walked in, we told the guy who worked with us that we expected the tires had to go. But au contrair! He took one look at the tires and said, "I think one might have a leak, but there are probably another 10,000 miles on these before they need to be replaced." He rotated the tires and fixed the leak for 13 dollars when he could have easily gone for the more expensive fix. These guys definitely have my future business now! read more

I needed tires and an alignment something awful. My car has odd sized tires so the odds of a shop having them in stock is rare. Usually, you have to wait a week or so to get them. This place had my tires in one day. The lady that answered the phone was the most polite person, very kind and patient with me. The employees were just as kind and patient with me. The work they did was fantastic, the prices were great. When asking about tire prices, she gave me three options, and did not try to up sell me. Today it is so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic that gives you a fair price. I found both with ABQ Tires. Will definitely recommend them to anyone needing tires. read more

Cheers: Honest and reputable. The usual/ interesting/ bizarre ABQ ride bus patrons do not congregate here. A plus plus service. They let my dog run wild in the shop and laughed when he felt the need to suddenly unleash a torrent of puppy pee behind the counter. And they cleaned it up! For over 15 years, I have only purchased tires and service from Tom and Adam and their crew; Probably 20 times or more;( I have always had 4 or 5 cars at a time); From the first time, I knew this was a long lasting partnership as they get everything correct the first time; Service? i had nitrogen put in my new tires; I came back a few weeks later as one of them took a nail. they repaired for free, The next day I received a call from them that they had put air in lieu of nitrogen in that tire and asked me to return so they could remove the tire, deflate it and refill with the gas. WHO would have ever know the difference? Thats how they are honest, punctual and priced right. My thanks to the entire crew read more

Locally owned and operated! I love giving the little guy my business. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, including Max the shop dog. I recommend calling ahead for an appointment but they are usually flexible enough to see you right away if you don't. read more

Clean place, courteous and expert service. I went here as a reality check. A dealer told me I needed over $1,000 in suspension repairs which didn't strike me as reasonable. Not only the cost, but the items didn't make sense to me. I went to this place for a second opinion. As I thought, there is nothing wrong with my truck. This place conducted an exhaustive suspension examination and didn't even charge me for the 45 minute or so labor it took. I'm sold on this place.Finding a straight up place for auto repairs where I can utterly trust the people working there is rare. This is that place. read more

The customer service was great, I went in for a used tire and I was in and out in roughly 30 minutes and there were 2 others waiting in the lounge. We have been using Albuquerque Tire for years. They deserve a five star rating because they are very knowlegable, reasonably price, honest and stand by their work. I recently had an issue where a dealer was trying to get me to buy all need tires, saying I had screws in unfixable locations and would need to spend $640+tax to get new tires. I declined and took it straight to ABQ Tire. They found one screw and it cost $20. You can trust these folks! read more

Great service, friendly staff, gave solid food recommendations and finished quickly. If you need new tires go here or you're a dumbass.

Great service! I worked with Charles, he was the kind of person you want to help you. He made everything easy. It wasn't like pulling everything out of him to get answers. He laid everything out, anticipated questions. They did an alignment for my brand new tires I purchased from Costco that day. The next day I took it to Toyota for a lube, oil and filter, because I had prepurchased a buy 3 deal package. Toyota said I needed an alignment which I said just had done the day before and they said I needed brakes, plus other things. My good deal on the lube oil filter was now going to cost over 1,000. I called Albuquerque Tire who says Toyota was just trying to up sale me. They had me had me bring it back over said the alignment is fine and took a free look at the brakes, I don't need brakes for probably another year. I brought my other 2 Toyota's over to Albuquerque Tire (which I knew were due and needed brakes and I had new brakes put on those. All cheaper than one car at Toyota. This was about 2 months ago and I'm still happy. I thought Albuquerque Tire deserved the review! read more

Just got a new set of tires for my car. I rarely write reviews, but wanted to because of the great customer service. Adam and Tom and crew were very polite. Adam explained more about the tires I wanted; no up/down sell. He set the appt. time, was seen on time, next thing I knew, all 4 new tires, balanced and mounted and done. For me, my go to place for tires, at very reasonable prices, great service where they really appreciate your business. read more

I wouldn't even give them ONE STAR. NOT AT ALL. I thought long and hard about writing this review, as I don't think people should write bad reviews over minor stuff. I'm still upset about how I was treated here, and am out of pocket at least 50 bucks and a lot of time and trouble. So, I believe this negative review is DULY DESERVED. I own a small business, and always try to support small local businesses. So, instead of going to Discount Tire, I looked on here at the Yelp reviews and decided to trust them with my 88 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. I took it in, and was treated with curt arrogance. I'm new to having to do all the car work myself, since I'm recently divorced. Being recently divorced, I've also been recently depressed, so not into dressing nice, either. I know I looked like a hobo with no make up on, wearing vintage Levis, boots, a cap to hide my messy hair and leather jacket, and I could tell they were judging me by my appearance. So superficial. I hate that, and I'm in the business! Also, I'm sure I didn't sound like I knew much about cars and tires and having them fixed. I am still learning. They are supposed to help you, Right? I had them do a rotate and alignment. It didn't need an alignment. The major problem was, THEY DIDN'T SCREW MY WHEEL CAPS BACK ON. I should have checked before driving off, as I had just completed my set, and was going to have all four on my car. Since they are old, they are expensive and hard to track down. In short, two fell off, and one was given back to me by a kind lady behind me at a traffic light. I went back to the tire shop and I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BAD AT A BUSINESS. First, they acted like I was lying and crazy. They kept re questioning me, going around in circles as if I must be confused. After all, I'm just a stupid woman, right? That was exactly the way they treated me. Finally, the owner admits that yes I did come in there with the 3 caps on. He talked to the mechanics and they told him I did have them on when I came in. The fourth being in the car that they didn't put on. He acted like his own mechanics were little children that he had to squeeze the truth out of. At first he agreed to replace it. I gave him the info, but, had the feeling he was just placating me and wasn't really going to do it. I even told him where I got mine, and it could be the same condition as the one lost, it's not like I was demanding top dollar. He could've just given me $50 bucks to get a new one, and I would have been fine with that. After a week, I went back and asked if my wheel cap was in. They treated me the same as before! I would never treat someone like that. I have been in retail my entire life, and even working retail would never treat a customer the way they treated me. Let alone, he was the OWNER. Not an honorable man. An honorable man would stand behind his employees, and accept responsibility for a mistake. An honorable man would make it right. If I could scratch the hobo sign of a dishonest man on their business (like in Mad Men) to warn others, I would. I guess that's what Yelp is for. And to add some superficial-ness to this review, the owner looks like that annoying neighbor on the Simpson's with the Coogi (Bill Cosby) like sweater, with hair that doesn't move. I am still out on my wheel cap. They run 50-75 bucks on eBay, so , it will be awhile before I can get another one. I ranted on my Facebook page and one of my son's teachers from Monte Vista Elementary said they ripped her Dad off, too. THESE PEOPLE ARE TRULY AWFUL HUMAN BEINGS. I guess if you have a modern car easy job, but my car requires the mechanic to actually change screwdrivers and hand screw in my wheel caps. Too much trouble. The way they treated me was truly horrendous. If you are fixing up an old car, you will understand. My own mechanic could not believe it when I told him the story. They flat out screwed me over, and were complete jerks about it. Next time I'm taking my Jeep Grand Wagoneer to Discount Tire. Besides, Discount Tire is Nationwide and will help you out wherever you are at. So, definitely Discount Tire is the place to go. Don't give these guys your business, especially if you have a vintage or classic car. read more

These guys are honest and fair. They were cheaper than their competition down the street and made some recommendations that ended up saving me money. They advised for me to make an insurance claim because of my situation and my insurance paid for the repairs. I didn't even have these guys do it because my insurance company already had another mechanic shop they work with but still these guys looked out for my best interest and that's why I can trust them. I'm definitely going here again because of their up front fair pricing and the fact that they earned my trust. Great company! read more

I would recommend asking for Richard. He is kind, patient, explains things well and will get you the best price. I called Chet's Wheel Alignment and they only do four wheel alignments for $79.99. Here at Albuquerque Tire they can do just the front wheel adjustments for $59.99 if that's all you need (their four wheel alignment is $89.99 at the time of this review). Richard let me know that all I needed was the front wheel so I walked out with a lower bill than if I went to Chet's. Also, they will do a free brake inspection if you get the wheel alignment whereas Chet's charged an extra $25 for the brake inspection. And, you don't have to deal with the attitude that Tim and Gary have at Chet's! Gees, they were mean! They kept talking to me like I was stupid and pressured me into coming in. read more
