I had the pleasure of working with Andrew for my home remodel. I bought my house at the end of August 2014 and asked a few contractors to come by and give me a quote a week before I closed on the house. Andrew actually got to the house earlier than the scheduled time (and I ran quite late btw), but he waited until I got there. His prices were fair and he answered everything to the best of his knowledge. It was my first ever home, so I had TONS of questions. Work started a week later and my wife and I were quite happy with the work. The work we had Andrew do included: - demolition of the old flooring - installation of new flooring throughout the house (tile and wood laminate) - new shower room - removed popcorn ceiling - installed 25 LED lights - removed and then installed 14 new windows and 1 door - repainted the entire interior - repainted cabinet facings - replaced 2 toilet bowls There were times when we had miscommunication issues, but he worked quickly to resolve it. He was quick to respond to my texts and emails as well. My wife and I are not very easy to please, but Andrew kept his cool and professionalism throughout the process. Andrew was very professional, prompt and courteous. We needed our dark brown maple cabinets to be repainted to white and the center island to black. His painter Thomas did such a good job you could never tell the cabinets were any other color. They both knew a lot about paint and quality and so far it has held up when we clean the surfaces. After a heavy down pour, my roof had a leak which resulted in a significant water damage in my living room. Home insurance was of no help because of my high deductible and being a first time home owner I didn't know what to do. Three years ago I tried JG Decor to do a small bathroom remodel. They were very attentive and patient with us. We did ask for a number of changes as we went through the project. The outcome was impressive and attention to detail was not missed. This year, we got JG Decor back to do a complete remodel of our house downstairs and must say the results were great! We replaced all the flooring, all the countertops in the kitchen and remodeled the downstairs bathroom. The project moved at a good pace and we introduced a number of changes in a timely manner. Andrew is very easy to work with. We have built a great relationship and he stands behind his work. We are not the easiest customers to work with but Andrew asks us the right questions and we get to the bottom of any design issues smoothly. I would recommend giving Andrew a call. We got to hire Andrew and his team again to paint our kitchen cabinets, replace our downstairs flooring to vinyl planking, remodel our powder room and master bathroom. The entire project spanned over 3.5 months but totally worth it! I got 3-4 bids for each thing and he always came in lower for the most part. His quotes are always clear and never any pressure to add or remove items as things came up during the remodel. I have two toddlers so it was important for me to know exactly what time his team would be coming each day and what the week's plan looked like. He would text me every morning to let us know. Victor, Armado, David and Nelson helped do an awesome job. I will say though always ask ahead what hardware or supplies are needed for your project and when they're needed by so you can have those delivered and ready ahead of time to keep things running smooth with less delays. We wanted to do our hallway bathroom too but because of Covid we had to cut our project slightly short. Hopefully after all this social distancing we can hire them again!! read more

We hired Andrew and his team to install an interior wall and door to create an office within our commercial space. Andrew came in and was the first contractor familiar with keeping ADA and commercial code compliance. He also gave a reasonable estimate, which did not change, except when we made a last minute request (which he and his team accommodated graciously). Victor and Nelson came to do the job and because we continued operating business during construction, they were thoughtful about noise and cleanliness. They also did fantastic work matching the existing molding throughout the space, smooth drywall (no texture), and making recommendations for light switch placement that made the space more user friendly. We hired Andrew and his team to do a kitchen remodel: changing old florescent tube lights to led cam lighting, new cabinets, sink/faucet and granite countertops, and new outlets/switches (everything but the floors). His quote was clear and reasonable, and he listened to what we wanted to do and didn't pressure us to make additional changes (another contractor wanted us to knock out a wall or close off a doorway). As this was our 1st remodel, I was nervous after reading reviews about other companies, but he was a) easy to get a hold of (text, email, phone) b) willing to answer our questions c) let us know in advance when people were coming and d) kept us informed of any changes needed, why, and the cost associated with it (e.g. after removing the double-oven, we were informed that if we wanted a particular sized cabinet to go there, we'd need to remove the drywall, else we'd need to downsize the cabinet size. The price quoted was reasonable, so he made the change, and the cabinet we wanted fit in nicely). His workers were friendly and polite, and cleaned up after they were done. We love our new kitchen, and will keep your number on hand for any future work! read more

I had JG Décor rehab my house after a water damage; garage, two rooms, bathroom and partial hall ways & entry. Work itself was not a difficult job and the scope consisted of drywalls, recessive lights, base molding, painting and wood flooring. In my opinion their challenge was to work around the furnished and occupied home. I met Andrew the owner several times during the rehab and he was pleasant and responsive. I've collected three quotes and Andrew submitted the lowest bid which I did not expect. I found them through Yelp with excellent review and was expecting a higher price. They quoted about 15% lower so it was easy decision for me; good review & lowest price. Three same workers serviced my house with different guy installing the wood flooring. One guy was little irritating not being too respectful of my properties; using my tool without asking & not cleaning afterward, carelessly carrying materials knocking my clock, scratching walls, leaving bunch of paint stains on my brand new water hose & retractor and concrete slab. However, the work itself was not a complicated therefore they finished on time and Andrew was very responsive. I had a very high expectation because of their excellent review but somewhat disappointed. I wonder it was because they under estimated the quote. They should have done better job initially covering our furnishing and final cleaning. At the end I just decided to finish cleaning myself. We ended up with so much drywall dust and paint stains. I spotted poor finish painting of baseboard, tilted kick plate, finish painting base molding without patching nails, & forgot to reinstall one my door. I am still rating them decently high because of Andrew & his price and would consider for future job if the price is right. The schedule was very critical to me because I had a family vacation and other services for schedule. Thankfully they completed the job on time and did not affect other schedules. read more

Andrew from JG Decor suggested me to just paint the cabinet instead of remodel the kitchen since the cabinets are only 7 years old. He saved me a lot of money by doing that. He also recommended a lighter color waterproof vinyl flooring for the entire house to brighten up the house. After the entire job was completed, it look like a model home. The whole house look so much larger (from brightness) and feel so comfortable. Very happy with the outcome. I could have spent more but Andrew's recommendation saved me so much money and did a wonderful job. With the money I saved, planning on a nice Bora Bora trip... Andrew(The owner) had helped us so many times in not only the repair but finding a professional for any job. Recently we had a water leak and the garage and bedroom has to be repaired. I got many quotes which were around $8200. My Insurence also paid me 6,000 which then I had to pay the rest out of pocket. I then called Andrew for the second time(had a leak prior and used Andrew) and he came same day and gave me a quote that will fit my budget. He was really fast and finished the job in 4 days and all had professional work. I would highly recommend if you are in the OC area because he will personally come to the job site and meet with you and your crew and check if all is going well. Andrew and his crew did a partial remodel of our master bath. They installed a new walk-in tile shower, installed tile floors, replaced the toilet, installed new baseboards and patched and painted the walls. We are very happy with the way it turned out. Our bathroom looks beautiful. Andrew was always very polite and accommodating. The price was very competitive compared to the other quotes I received. One thing I would note is to make sure you get everything you want included in your quote, or in some type of writing, either text or email. There were a couple of instances where I had to point out that particular requests we had were already included in the quote after Andrew thought they were new requests and was going to quote me additional pricing for them, and I had to refer him back to our quote, or email communications I had with him. Used JG Decor for a complete interior paint job. I was pleased with the work quality and the professionalism of the team. Unfortunately, about a couple of months later, we had to repipe the house and my beautiful paint job was ruined on the first floor and exterior of the house. I contacted JG Decor to get an estimate for touch up work for the first floor and exterior of the house. To be honest, I was shocked at how good the touch up looked and once again, the team that came (different) was fantastic and professional! You can't tell where the damage was done! The day the second team came to paint, it was raining, and so we had to reschedule the exterior work. Once they were able to come to paint the exterior, they did that so well that I couldn't tell where the damage was there either! Third time I had an excellent team once again. His quote was very detailed and he is quick on any additional question that I may have. He was not the contractor that I picked because the other half of my project will require a construction. I think his forte is on renovation so I decided to work with just 1 contarctor instead of dealing with 2. But I wouldn't think twice on getting ANdrew in the next project that I will do to my house. I stumbled upon Andrew and JG Decor via Yelp reviews and they definitely were right! I finally wanted to start to do a few projects in my house, which included wood flooring, new carpet, painting, demo'ing an old entertainment center, fireplace mantel paint, and more! Andrew right from the beginning is extremely attentive to your needs. He brought in samples to show me and for the wood flooring, I explained what I was looking for (which was not in the samples he brought), but he went that very day to his vendor and shot me an email with the sample I wanted! He also went above and beyond by locating marble that matched mine that I would potentially need with the entertainment center demo. For each project, Andrew was here promptly at 7:30am (when i needed him so I can go to work) with his Team specific to what needed to be done. I had three sets of Teams, one for flooring, one for carpet, and one for painting....every Team was extremely professional/polite and courteous of my furniture.All of them are meticulous at what they do. Each time a new Team came in, I got worried, knowing the prior Team was great, but each one did what they needed to do perfectly! Also kudos to Andrew for going out to buy these coasters that apparently sit under the wheels of my grand piano on the new wood flooring to prevent it from damaging it over time. I didn't even know those things existed! Andrew could have just let it be, but made the critical observation, and headed to home depot to purchase and place them under the piano. That alone shows you are working for someone who really CARES! I definitely will be using Andrew for ANY remodel needs moving forward. We were looking to remodel our master bathroom. I found JG Decor on Craigs list.. Andrew called me back promptly. Andrew reviewed the job and provided an estimate in a few days. We had other bids, Andrew's a fair price for the job, not too high and not too low. His staff Danny and Angel are the most hard working and conscientious people and we enjoyed their progress each day. They start the day promptly at 8AM and at times work until 7PM, almost unheard of when hiring general contractors! Quality of work ... outstanding ... electrical, plumbing and most importantly their beautiful tile work. They keep the work area clean and clean each night before they leave, very respectful when going through the house with debris and material. We ordered and brought in all the material, tile, sink, cabinet, toilet and mirror. We had underestimated the shower floor tile, and we had to place an additional order... it was going to be in Anaheim at 2pm one day, Andrew called to tell me he was driving to Ontario to pick it up himself! He makes sure the job is on schedule. no excuses ! Andrew recommended a frameless glass shower door, we agreed and he had it measured and installed right on schedule. It was great quality and just makes the bathroom all that more beautiful. I had additional requests, a custom built in shelving cabinet, Andrew had Danny built, it came out gorgeous. Danny even felt the painter did not do a good enough job and did the additional touch ups, so that it came out classy looking. Some other details that they were able to work with was a Pottery Barn Oval Swivel mirror that mounted above sink, turned out beautiful. Shower has German dual shower head and hand held shower head.. they did a perfect job installing. As any job once you start using the bathroom you may find something is not quite working right, the shower door at the bottom where it sits on the tile, did not seem to be sealed all the way.
