Can I give less than a star? I mean, its a new store. You would think that they would be happy that there is work and a job for people. Where to start? Prices: My god they are astronomical. I sometimes go to the Jewel in Bourbonnais and I know they can be pricy but this store kicks it to the roof. Like they need to pay off their building loans or something. The store looks nice, sure but the service is also another problem. My fiance and I are new to the Jewel app. So she asks for help from a guy who was stocking. He gave her an attitude. I did not see it or I would have said something. When asked for help, he sighed heavily like he was being interrupted with brain surgery or something. Very rude. Then they have their sale signs. We were there March 28th. I saw a great deal that Orange flavored zero sugar Gatorades were 99 cents if you buy 10. I get to the cashier later and the sale is inactive. I went to look at the sales sign and it says sale is good to March 18th. 10 days? Fortunately the cashier gave me them at 99 cents each but the principial still stands. We love fresh fruit, as anyone would. I looked at their honeycrisp apples and it would cost me $4 for a few apples? But, we were not going anywhere else at the time. A couple good things about the location but many issues, too. The Good: - Cashiers and baggers are very nice and provide great service. Store stock employees are also very helpful. - Sushi Chefs are very professional and helpful. Always a pleasant interaction. - I appreciate they always have some checkout lanes open instead of forcing everyone to do self-checkout. - Store is kept clean The Bad: - The whole digital deals thing is terrible. No, I don't want to clip coupons on my phone. it's a chore but almost required since the regular price for most items is absurd. Many items also have limits but most times there are tons left rotting or spoiled (especially for produce items). I would really like to buy more than 2 strawberry packs a week, please! - Half of the produce items have no price listed on them. Rotten or past due produce is also frequently left out for sale. - Store managers will not let employees pull stock from the back for the customers. I've had employees ask a manager for help locating an item for me and the managers have said they can't pull items from the back and I need to check another day. - Frequent price issues at checkout. Sometimes their system will not recognize the sale price of an item and they charge the full amount. Very often I need to have them correct the price to reflect their own advertised sale prices. - Pharmacy has gone downhill in recent years. Many of my recent medications were prepared very messy, either with all sorts of powder spilled over the bottles, or liquid medicines not mixed properly at all. read more

So went to get a flash deal was shredded cheese thay advertised but had to clip the deal but it's no where to be found the deal to clip not even in the category milk and cheese section thay get you in the store for the deals but won't make it easy to find needless to say I dropped my basket with everything I had in it and left I'm not going to walk into a store to buy something and walk out with someone else cause yall are Scammers read more

One big issue is the lack of keep certain items restocked that are on sale especially going into a holiday , no reason to be almost out on 2nd day of sale and no one around to restock read more

There bakery is horrible I ordered special cake in advance for a birthday today. This morning they email me that they are not doing it last minute. Now my sweet birthday boy is disappointed he has no cake and now I have to go find a last minute premade cake somewhere else. There service is horrible and my card says it's still charged. Never coming here again. read more

Please get the staff in the service areas, such as deli, to be more friendly and fast. They are very slow and have no care for the customers time. The rest of the store is great! read more

I hope everyone who reads this is lucky enough to have a grocery store/Pharmacy as good as this one. Their meat and seafood department is excellent with friendly staff, and they are helpful when you make requests. Their deli is gigantic, and they have a decent ethnic selection. One thing I don't like is that you might have to wait for staff at the meat/seafood counter since they seem to man it when needed, not as a rule. Great selection of veggies, but I wish they'd get rid of the rainstorm... it serves no purpose, and when you go to bag it it drips everywhere. There's just not much to really hate. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, the place is ALWAYS spotless. Prices are generally higher than, say, Aldi's, so it's best to shop holding the weekly flyer and looking out for good deals. I don't like the fact they got rid of the express lanes and put in self-checkout, which I despise, but I suppose it comes in handy for those that want to limit their contact during this pandemic. Oh, one more thing... their Vienna bread is the best I've ever tasted. read more

I really love the meat counter at Jewel in Morris. The salmon that is sold by the pound is DELICIOUS! I just saute it in olive oil with lemon pepper seasoning. There are almost other good deals at the meat counter too. The produce section is so attractive though a big high-priced. There is a multi-grain bread in the bakery that you take home and cook a little more, like 10 minutes, and it is the BEST. And the flower selection is amazing for a grocery store. If you want to save money, stick to the Signature brand. read more

I love our jewel Osco. Never had an issue and every staff does their job. I like that some staff recognize me and say hi and ask how I'm doing. I'd rather shop here then a big box store. Personable and friendly. read more

Big parking lot, clean bathroom, helpful staff, fresh and stocked produces and poultry. The flowers are a bit pricey but they are fresh and pretty. The staff even offers to wrap up flower pots for you so you can give it as gifts. read more

The store itself is usually clean and well stocked. The pharmacy screws up my prescriptions 9 out of 10 times and no one seems to care about their errors. They blame it in my dr....who I know is not responsible. I will not return to this store after being verbally assaulted by a supposed employee in the parking lot at 12:15am after I got done unloading groceries & preparing to use Redbox. I was accused of stealing 2 planters, not being a customer, not being in the store a half hour prior, illegally parking in a handicapped spot & not being legally disabled. A cleaning person called 911 which resulted in me being told to leave or get arrested for loitering. Manager was very sincere, District Manager was a jerk. Employee not fired and I can not go back to a store where the inmates run the asylum. He was in the wrong and lied. Afraid of running into this psycho. read more

On a recent visit to that area we needed to stop in for a few things. The store is neat and clean but needs some supervision in at least their produce department. I purchased a cantelope for $1.88. When I was checking out I was being charged $2.50. I questioned this and was told that the $1.88 was the sales price for the July 4th holiday. I said the 4th was days ago and your sign in produce is $1.88 so that is the only amount that I will pay for this. The cashier called over another woman to do an override and that women was complaining to the cashier that she had to do an override for other items in which the signs were not changed. Sounds like this store needs to get it together! read more

I'm new to Morris. 1st time at Jewel. All I gotta say is Amazing staff. Clean store, clean bathrooms, the cashier was Matt and the bagger was Andrew. They were so kind and very well behaved gentlemen, they were quick too. Knew what they were doing. Management must be doing very well. I'll for sure be back read more
