Dr. Chen is an extremely honest guy, and will be up front about everything. Every question answered, every phone call returned. DR. chen, Hillary, and Tina would make time for me if it was the simplest of things. Dr. Chen and his staff takes their work seriously and Dr. Chen takes great pride in his work, as evidenced in the end results of the procedures he does. I have been 100% happy with all of the outcomes. The Staff is always very accomidating as I mentioned, very helpful and always goes over and above to make sure you are well taken care of. Dr. Chen has several convenient office locations which make it great for people that are outside of the Joliet area, and works within several hospitals and surgical facilities. The office is always very clean, and very accessible. I could not have asked for a better Dr. to do these procedures. I have recommended Dr. Chen to all of my friends, and even a few strangers.

If you are looking for a doctor that coddles you & drags things along, then this isn't your guy. I made an appointment for a consultation & they took x-rays. I hadn't had any recently, if you have them, they won't take them again like others might. Dr. Scheive told me what to expect throughout & at the end, the ladies up front told me how much my insurance would pay & my out of pocket cost. I made an appointment for the next available date in my schedule which was about a week later. I paid my portion & had my procedure. My guy & my daughter came to pick me up, & we went home. They called to check on me & see if I had questions. They told me I could call anytime if needed. Luckily, everything went smoothly. I made a follow up, but if you're doing well, it's not necessary. The dentist's assistant was great. She went through & showed me how to really get in & clean my recently extracted areas. She asked if I wanted to see the doctor & I said it wasn't necessary if everything was good. I would give them 5 stars, but my first time there I waited for about 1.5 -2 hours. They had some kind of emergency which I realize wasn't their fault, but I had expected to go back to work. It would've been nice for them to let me know that it was going to be awhile. Also, right before my procedure, I waited 30-45 minutes to go back. I had the day off so it wasn't a big deal for me, but no one likes to wait. I can imagine if you have high anxiety in these situations, waiting probably makes it worse. My follow up appointment was totally different though. I was in & done within 20-30 minutes. Either way, all of my appointments were during the week so I can't say a Saturday would be better or worse. Overall, the experience was really good. Aside from waiting here & there, everything else was great!

We picked a rich brown, she applied the color, said she would be back in 15 minutes but returned 25 minutes later. By then, my hair was black. After rinsing and drying, it was so dark, I was upset. She took forever it seemed to do a trim of 1/2 inch, and I just wanted to get out of there. No, I did not complain to the owner or stylist, but I should have; I was just upset, and the stylist knew it. I just need to find someone I can trust and who is experienced. I ended up going home and finding a product online that would strip out color gently, and after 3 applications of this product, my hair looked medium brown again instead of black. So disappointed in this local salon; maybe they should monitor or mentor their new hires better. I had gone here before for a trim with a different stylist, and she did do a good job, but she is part-time and is hard to schedule with.

This woman literally followed us from isle to isle lurking in a short distance. My wife became so overstimulated that she walked off and yelled back to me that this was annoying and she couldn't shop for herself without being badgered. I tried to calm her down so that we could get what we went there for and the worker just continued to follow us around without allowing us to think and speak amongst ourselves. I get that people like to "go above and beyond" at their jobs, but this woman was just too overbearing. She had no respect for our personal space or about the fact that we were speaking to each other. This was our last experience there last night. The 1st time we went there, the same woman worker did the same exact thing and caused my wife to purchase the wrong product because instead of allowing her to make up her mind on her own, she kept pushing wigs in her face and saying "get this one". My wife was so over stimulated she finally just said yes and purchased it and it turned out to be a pony wig instead of a full wig like she needed. The other workers are nice and calm and helpful, but this specific woman needs to calm down and back off. I wouldn't recommend going to this beauty store, this woman literally is there all day everyday and she just hovers you.
