For pot stickers they have the most variety. I know that doesn't sound like alot but jewl, walmart, are real slim pickings.

I have been shopping at the Crest Hill Store for about 20 years. The store manager that was there, at the time was one of the Bust managers I have ever run into, something like Barnaby, alas too many years. I would have hired him in a New York minute. A great people person, the customers and Employees loved him. He was every where in the store where needed. He was transfer out and ever since the position was filled with a DEI hire, who never seen to leave their office, if in fact they are there, a cashier seems to be in charge. Came to Food 4 Less to grab a couple of things and furthermore to check out what the store had to offer. Truthfully it may have a bunch of off Brand items but it's not necessarily "cheap" but more moderately priced items. I paid $3 for a gallon of milk that I know I can get for alot cheaper elsewhere. Plenty of parking, decent staff, fair amount of people shopping here. It features a gas station on Larkin Road as well. read more

This review is mainly about customer service. I have shopped in this store for over 3 years. I am an outside contractor. we shop twice a week every week. My employer spends a lot of money at this particular location. I have yet to have been greeted by two cashiers in particular that are always working the morning shift when we are there. They have completely ignored me as a customer that they have seen every week for over 3 years. It is very annoying as when I do speak to them they do not answer and just proceed with whatever request I may have. I have been in customer service over 43 years and I would never never behave this way to anyone. It is her job as a cashier to greet each and every customer that comes through her line. Neither one of them have ever spoken to me. It is clearly obvious they both hate their jobs and one of them is in some sort of low-key management at this particular location. And it is pretty sad that their management supervisor manager whatever they call themselves does nothing about the way they behave. Just an observation and just putting this out there. On another side note when we pull our four baskets loaded to the brim of product into their line they are immediately scowling because they know they will get a backup in their line. Not a bad store. I couldn't do all of my shopping here. Food 4 less is simply just missing quite a few items that I get from other stores. The produce seems a bit too ripe for me at times. I don't want to have to consume all of my produce within 24 hours or have it rot. You can catch quite a few deals here, and I do like that food 4 less will mark things slightly less than the competition. I mean there are like 4 major grocery stores right in a .10th of mile from each other. As with lots of grocery stores I cannot buy a steak at Food 4 Less. The last few I bought tasted like dog food. Chicken & Pork I can buy anywhere, but when it comes to Red Meat & Produce I have to hold my ground and be super picky. I remember my mom cooking a steak and trying to surprise me with a "Ha this steak came from food for less." She didn't have to tell me s*** because I tasted that quality on the first bite! #ImGood #GurlBye I do like the bakery. This review was for the fuel center at this particular food for less. There was a problem with one of the pumps, namely the screen was blank, i tried telling the attendant that the screen was not working, she then proceeds to ask me if I put in my credit card, I told her that wasn't the issue, I tried informing her the screen was blank, the black lady then proceeded to start raising her voice at me by saying "Do you speak any English, you need to put your credit card in first" in a slow manner . I love this store! The staff is friendly and helpful, the selection is better than other stores, I can bag my own groceries to my own preferences, and the shopping carts are always retrieved from outside. (I love the over-size shopping carts!!)Bonus: I always save 10 cents per gallon on my gas just by doing my normal shopping here. The only problem is the water dispenser machines are often down. read more
