    CLEARLY SAYS $117!!

Too bad 0 stars isn't an option. If I could leave 0 stars I would! I can see why this store has crappy reviews and a bad reputation...which I wish I would've known before spending money here for an entire grill set!! I visited the store on Sunday to purchase a grill set for my husband's birthday. Upon shopping I saw a patio set listed at $117. I asked the employee working in that area (Carolina) if the price was accurate and if it came with all 6 chairs, because I thought it was a good deal! She said "Yes, that's what it says" and verified the price was correct. I said, "okay, I'll have to come back because I don't have room in my car for both items. Yesterday I returned to the store to find the price listed at $398. Apparently it was listed wrong. The same employee was there working, and called a manager. "Mehet" GM Coach was the manager who came to assist. He told me, "the price was wrong, it's listed at $398 so that's the final price." He kept stating that there was nothing he could do. He literally said, "I do have the ability to change the price, but I'm not." He was dismissive, condescending, and lacked overall compassion for the situation. I showed him a PHOTO of the price that I took before leaving the store that day because i wanted to be sure to come back for the right set! He walked away and called manager "Rebecca" and stated that she also said there's nothing that can be done. I have been trying to reach her or manager Christian all morning and have yet to receive a call back. I spoke with one of the managers under Rebecca named "Rachel" who offered 10% off. I am not sure why would Walmart's Code of Conduct discuss ETHICS and INTEGRITY if this isn't going to be followed! "Associates who work at Walmart are expected to operate based on our high standards and values -- respect, service, excellence and integrity. Acting consistently with these values demands that a culture of integrity guides all our decisions. Our Code of Conduct reflects who we are as a company and how we bring our culture to life in our work every day. It applies to every Walmart associate. We also expect our business partners to embrace our values and meet these high standards. Associates and partners who do not share these values do not belong at Walmart. Our commitment to integrity is reflected in our actions. From ensuring the food and products we sell are safe; to using technology and data ethically and responsibly; to investigating concerns raised by our customers, associates and stakeholders, our commitments are embedded into every action we take." I even filed a complaint with corporate and am still waiting to hear back! This is ridiculous!

Nobody works there. No customer service. What a joke. 20 minutes in speedy checkout line to buy one item.

Clean parking lots as well. Everyone seemed customer focused, I really like that.

I love this Walmart. And that's not something I'd normally say about a Walmart. Usually when…read moresomeone says "Oh let's just run over to Walmart for it", I will protest and find a list of other stores that offer whatever "it" is for much more, but with more pleasantries and convenience. Convenience? Isn't Walmart supposed to be the most convenient? The only thing convenient about Walmart is the fact that you can buy your food, your dog's food, and a bunk bed because who knows you might need it one day (it doesn't hurt to be prepared). That's it. Until the Shorewood/Joliet/Plainfield Walmart. I actually think everyone around here has the same idea about Walmart in general as I do so they just don't go. If I ever could envision a Walmart that could close because of a lack of shoppers, this is what it would look like... and I love it (just a note: I would not love it if this Walmart closed, just that it's always so empty). There's no bumping into other people. There's no riding someone's heals down the tiniest of isles because they decide they must look at every single box of baking soda three times in order to make a decision (you're at Walmart, you're here to buy the cheapest brand, it's the Walmart brand). There's no imaginary game show moment where you have to decide if you should check out on register 2 or 6 because the lines are both incredibly long, but one is bound to move incredibly faster than the other (it's always the register you don't choose). It's just pure empty bliss. So why, if I adore this Walmart so much, only three stars? Because eff the Auto Service department. Every single person I've ever interacted with from the greeters to the cashiers to the stockers have been pleasant and bubbly and kind and friendly and the kind of people you'd totally brunch with on occasion... except for the effing auto department. The highlights of my last visit: - I enter the indoor area for tires, no greeting by the manager sitting right before me. I say "Hello" after about a minute of silently waiting. He says "Not really a 'good morning'." Does he think I bid him a good morning? It's 1pm. - He asks me what size tires I have. I tell him. He yells for someone else to check the size of my tires. Probably could've just started with that if you weren't gonna take my word. - More moments of silence, only broken up when he realizes I'm staring at him to inform me that he's looking at their schedule for tomorrow. He continues to do this the majority of our short conversation that he could've given just a little more attention to. RE: "Hello" and "good morning" situation. - He looks up the size and says all the he has is $144 a tire. I let him know which tires I had just looked up and found available on their website that were in stock at this location. He's adamant all they have is $144. No offer to order the ones I'm talking about or anything just end of story. So 95% of this Walmart is perfect. The other 5% that I'm dedicating solely to the auto department is shit. In all fairness it could just be that manager is shit, but I guess we'll never know because his shitiness was enough to engulf the entire department for me. Walmart, good. Walmart auto department, bad.

Do not buy tires or get anything done with your car at Walmart, complete scam. I had a warranty for…read moremy 4-set of tires and one had a bubble and I got it replaced they made excuse after excuse to void warranty. A tire that's supposed to be completely covered turned into a $140 replacement. The mechanics there will rob you and over charge you so check your receipts. My warranty got voided because I didn't get tire rotations done through Walmart.... Hahaha I'm not forced to get them done at Walmart and that's why you won't cover my tire. The people back there are scam artists and will fuck you over to put more in there pocket DONT GO THERE!

Louis Joliet Mall is the biggest place to shop in this big suburb. Has a lot of places to go inside even with many being closed. The quality of the stuff isn't is good as it once was and there's not much good other than seeing a movie. Better malls are certainly around but this one has a lot of interesting history about it. It's been around here since 1978 with it being one of two malls that had opened recently. The other was Jefferson Square Mall, which opened a few years earlier and closed in 2002 and was demolished pretty soon after that. Has gone through a few anchors. There's a Cinemark movie theater, JCPenney's, and Macy's. Basically the theater opened in 2009, and has since brought in the most business. There also used to be a Bergner's and Sears. A Sears subsidiary actually financed the mall's construction. There's been many instances of vacancies. The Carson's closed in 2018, but reopened later. Panera Bread, T.G.I. Friday's, and Tilted Kilt have closed. The Sears closed in 2019 and has not been replaced. Got to say it's been around for awhiles. It's not like it once was but it's still hanging on. There's still lots open but there's also tons of vacancies.
