Clockwise starting with the flaming one: Éscorpion, Concrete Jungle, Tom Kha Gai Guys, Matcha Mucho, One of These Nights, and The Mo Mo.

To find this bar, enter Houndstooth Coffee and go through the door behind the barista counter. It's a "speakeasy" but is pretty plainly labeled outside. They've wisely closed direct access from the outside door (or at least it wasn't an option the night we stopped in), which makes it feel a little more "speakeasy"-ish. They claim you need reservations, but our group of SIX (which filled about a third of the place -- it's tiny) was able to walk right in and be seated around 7ish on Saturday evening. Perhaps reservations are more necessary later in the evening? I also hope the bar is staffed by more than one bartender later in the evening, because there was only one while we were there, and he struggled to get all our drinks out in a timely manner (somewhat understandably, because the drinks are pretty complicated, but still). We all passed around each cocktail and had pretty strong consensus of opinions among the six of us, which were as follows: Concrete Jungle: Our hands-down favorite, with an awesomely unique combination of black sesame, Benedictine, and orgeat elevating the components of a whiskey sour (Balcones rye, lemon, and egg white). One of These Nights: My second favorite. A slightly citrusy drink that's on what I call the "manly" side of the cocktail world. Amaro Lucano, cognac, dry curacao, lemon, orgeat, coffee, and star anise...lots of deep, rich, strong flavors that work surprisingly well together. Éscorpion: This drink may look silly/girly/touristy, but don't pass it by too quickly. It's very refreshing and not too sweet. Tequila, mezcal, apricot, lemon, orange, orgeat...and FIRE. Get your cameras ready when this one lands on the table. Matcha Mucho: Another extremely refreshing option in terms of flavor, but it's a heavier drink (texture is thicker) than the Éscorpion. In other words, it's refreshing but not light. Mezcal, matcha, coconut, lime, and Gran Classico. The Mo Mo: I never order martinis, but this combination of tequila, sake, green chartreuse, and peach was absolutely delightful. It's definitely on the sweet side. Tom Kha Gai Guys: Our least favorite. Too much going on here. Gin, mezcal, St. Germain, coconut, lime, chili oil, cilantro...I mean, all of these things are really nice on their own or in smaller combinations, but all of them together should never happen again. All of the drinks are about $14, which seems fair given their complexity and unique flavor profiles. The vibe is very retro and fun. My only complaint is that they serve basically no food. A little more of a bar snacks selection would be appreciated. It definitely seems like the sort of place that should at least serve some mixed nuts for free with your drink (you know, old school), but I'd also like to see a few more substantial options too. Regardless, I'd definitely go back.

Sit at the bar and watch the magic of the creations. Culinary science comes to life with the delicious, decadent perfect pairings in any of the cocktails on the menu. It's also so fun to watch them hand carve the ice cubes. My favorite speakeasy in Dallas!

Many a bar I've been to have claimed to be a unique experience with handcrafted cocktails you won't find elsewhere. Jettison doesn't even need to claim it; Jettison just is it, and you can tell from the moment you walk in the doors. The place itself isn't anything extravagant, but it's just what it needs to be honestly, which I absolutely prefer. The bartenders are well-mannered and know how to make a mad drink. I got the Fino Punch, a glorious concoction and a beautiful look as well (see picture), and if I could've stayed longer, I'm pretty sure I would've tried about all of them. Really, there are so many neat combinations and drinks that you've truly not tried before. Jettison doesn't have anything to prove, but it still proves it's top notch. I'm sad I don't live here because I'd be a regular. Put your phone down now and go.

Yoichi Single Malt. My first Japanese whiskey. There will be more.

Great neighborhood bar. Knowledgeable staff, and perfect mixology happening nightly. Jettison is small, unpretentious, and cozy... it is also, without a doubt, the best bar in Dallas.

This is something of a speakeasy sort. Very small, cozy, intimate with high quality cocktails, good selection of wines and beers. I believe they also own Houndstooth which was adjacent to it. If you are planning to come here with a group of more than 4; you may want to go elsewhere. It's very tight in there. The cocktails were all tasty and Instagram worthy. The Bees Knees and Earl'd Fashion were my top choices.

This is a nice low key place to enjoy a few fancy cocktails. Intimate type of setting to have a date or any type of serious conversations.

Awesome little find! Although it's a little hard to find! Look for the frosted doors next to Houndstooth. Central 75 is a nice choice.

I especially appreciated the size of the menu- (no photos on it, green flag according to Gordon Ramsey) but also a good variety. Always shows they put a focus on quality into the select options they have. Above average service from our waiter Angel was also appreciated. They had run out of saltines to eat with my oysters, but offered a basket of fresh house made chips instead and I have to say- a creatively satisfying substitution. Honestly really great. The apps were the Aguachile which was the better of the two, and the other were the crab croquettes which were packed with crab but lacked in flavor. Of the entrees the blacked catfish was the better one. The only issue was the huge portion of mashed potatoes which were reminiscent of powered mash, but the catfish itself was outstanding. On the other side I've never had a lobster roll before but this genuinely has no flavor and has experienced some serious shrinkflation when compared to other pictures here on yelp of it. The fries were great though. The dessert also was nothing memorable and was a very basic bread pudding that could've been warmer. Overall, I was not impressed by Pesca as the reviews may have led me to believe, but it is still a solid place in trinity groves that deserves be more attention.

No. But what has us coming back is their consistency and attention to detail. The space is gorgeous and each room brings a different vibe to the dining experience. We were sat in the darkest of the rooms that was very romantic, and thankfully the music wasn't too loud. When we were seated we found a frame on the table holding a message congratulations us on our anniversary, with our names included. It was very sweet! Our server was prompt, attentive, and very charming. She asked us questions about ourselves and also gave great recommendations throughout the night. The drinks were good! However, the Passionate Kiss started to taste very chemical forward the longer it sat (I'm a slow drinker) so I only finished half of it. Not sure if it was because of the print on the foam originally or what, but it wasn't pleasant. I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae). We also ordered the Chocolate Decadence which was incredibly good. The goal is to come back next year, and plenty of times before that as well. Thanks to the Evelyn team for such a great dinner!

Unfortunately, the food didn't quite match the experience for us. To be fair, several friends highly recommended the restaurant and spoke very highly of the food, so this may have just been an off night. Still, first impressions matter. I ordered the salmon cooked medium, but it arrived slightly overcooked. My husband requested a medium steak, but it came out medium rare in the center while somehow being medium well on the outside. The meatballs felt like they were missing something flavor-wise, though the calamari was good. The sides -- mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes -- were also a bit underwhelming. My daughter's lobster pasta was just okay as well. On a positive note, the service was solid and the Old Hollywood cocktail was perfection. I'm open to giving Evelyn another try because the atmosphere really is beautiful, but my husband has officially retired from future visits.
