The shop was closed and the employee still brought his order out and attempted to give it to him. The unruly customer who had caused issues prior, told him to just throw it away and continued to instigate. The employee discarded the order. The customer continued to hang out outside the shop and the employee requested he leave or he would trespass him. Your employee did what he needed to do in that situation. read more

I wish I could say that EVERY Jets was great, but that is not the case. However, this Jets is excellent. I grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and the original Jets was near my school. We would get Jets for our school lunches often. The square shape, light but thick crust, and fantastic crunch will always be a winner with me. Jets has legions of fans who swear by it and they deserve it. Next time I go I have been advised to get Ultimate Pepperoni and the Turbo Crust. I have, also, been told to try their ranch on the pizza. I am looking forward to it as the location was great and service was excellent. You cannot eat inside but get a pizza, head to the car, and destroy it. read more

Stumbled upon Jet's Pizza and figured, "Why not?" Sometimes the best food adventures start with questionable decision-making. This is definitely a grab-it-and-go place, not somewhere to hang out. The staff was fast and friendly, and one cool perk is that you can text your order ahead and get 15% off menu-priced pizzas and Sidekicks, which is a nice bonus. We ordered the Buffalo Ranch Chicken pizza. What we actually got was the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Apparently our pizza identified as something else by the time we got home. To be fair, it was delicious... just not the surprise we were expecting. The square, fluffy crust deserves some love. It's thick, soft, and seriously tasty. We also ordered ranch and garlic dipping sauces, but only one made the journey. I'm assuming the other is living its best life somewhere in Dormont. Overall, I'd absolutely give Jet's another shot. Just do yourself a favor and inspect the pizza box and bag before you escape Dormont's city limits. Trust, but verify. Bonus points for the logo--it's cooler than it has any right to be. read more

I gave this place a positive review a few months ago, but after coming back again, I unfortunately had to update my review because the pizza quality does not seem to be what it used to be. The biggest issue was the crust. Both pizzas we ordered (the New York style with green peppers and the hand-tossed with pineapple and onion) had bottoms that were extremely soggy. I'm not sure what changed, but a soggy bottom is definitely not something I expect from a good pizza. I do appreciate that they were very generous with the toppings, but I wonder if the amount of moisture from the pineapple, peppers, and other toppings contributed to the problem. It's possible the toppings were added at a point that caused excess moisture, or that the pizza became steamed while sitting in the box. The sauce also seemed quite moist, which may have added to the issue. The cheese and sauce were okay, but they honestly were not as flavorful or memorable as what I've had at many other pizza places. The one positive was that because the crust was so soggy, the cheese and toppings actually peeled off easily, allowing me to move them onto the outer crust which fortunately was not soggy and had a much better texture. I still tried to enjoy the pizza by eating the toppings, sauce, and cheese with the outer crust, and I appreciated the effort and generosity with the ingredients. However, even with that workaround, it just wasn't the quality I remember. The soggy crust was a major issue, and the overall flavor did not make up for it. What makes this review especially disappointing is that I actually remember being impressed with their pizza in the past. Maybe it was overhyped and my expectations were high, but I stopped in today for the very first time, ordered two slices, and thought it was very mediocre. I wished I had just gone down the street to Betos. Maybe because I didn't order a fresh pizza, but the Detroit Style square slices were nothing like what I was expecting. This used to be my go-to pizza place. The pizza was good, the drivers were efficient and kind...no complaints. HOWEVER... Something has happened in the last month. The quality of the food and service have both dropped. The last time I ordered about a week and a half ago, I blamed the fact that service was slow and the pizza was cold on the weather...it was the first cold day of the year. I ordered again tonight. The website said it would be 60-90 minutes. The pizza finally came three hours later...and it was cold. I only live a mile and a half away. And I know the driver might have had other deliveries, but just about every pizza place has insulated bags...do they not? I hadn't had jets before but I have always wanted to try Detroit style pizza. Omg so good!! I absolutely love their ranch too (I can see why it's famous). I tried an 8-count pizza, pepperoni sticks, and cinnamon sticks and the total was $50 without tip. I was very impressed with what I got, don't get me wrong, but I can get the same amount of food from any other pizza shop for half that amount. I placed an order with Uber Eats. Immediately after I placed the order, I received that I forgot to add toppings to the pizza. I tried to change the order on Uber Eats, but the only option was to cancel for a ~$25 fee. So I called Jets Pizza and asked them to add pepperoni to my pizza. I offered every which way to pay for it and they complete refused to even entertain the idea of adding a topping to an Uber Eats order. I love Jet's Pizza! I found them a few years ago on Yelp and I just realized that I never left a review. Anyways, their specialty are their square cut pizzas. It's similar to Detroit style pizza. Each piece is a corner piece, so you get the crispy, crunchy edge with the dough (yet sturdy) middle. You can also make customizations to your crust flavor and you can choose to a different sauce type if you don't want the typical red sauce. I've gotten my mom hooked on Jet's as well. We just ordered three 4-Corner pizzas. We wanted to try it after seeing their recent advertising. Granted, it was via Uber Eats, but it was still $80 for 12 slices of pizza; $6.67 per cut. Without even considering the price, the pizza was still a solid "D". The pizza was overdone, cold, a little too greasy, and just didn't taste as good as other available options. When checking out the menu I was delighted to see that there was a gluten free option for pizza since I usually experience gut and joint pain and feel really fatigued whenever I eat gluten. Let me tell you the gluten free pizza does not disappoint. My mom doesn't typically eat gluten free but she said she never would have guessed there was no gluten. I really love the traditional crust so was a little skeptical at first but after trying it I am happy to report that the gluten free variety has the same soft, crispy and chewy texture as the original does although it is less thick. The price is also comparable to the original - I think it is just a dollar more. Loved loved loved the crust and also loved how the pineapple and tomato sauce add some tangy flavor with it. I also really enjoyed the addition of the sesame seeds. The size of one small pizza was enough to fill up both up without us feeling bad afterwards. I just loved that I did not experience any of the symptoms I tend to experience with gluten type pizzas. Also curious about the cauliflower crust as well although the menu doesn't seem to specify if the cauliflower crust is also gluten free. Highly recommend going here if you can I don't eat pizza often anymore but if you are really having a pizza craving this hits the spot without breaking the bank or leaving you bloated. read more

I found out about Jet's Pizza from Yelp! This is a chain that has locations in many states, but I believe the only location in Pittsburgh is this one in Dormont. It is very close to Carnegie where my brother lives, so we decided to try it the other night. He ordered it and picked it up. I love that customizing the crust was an option. We did the "turbo crust" which added garlic, parmesan and romano cheese. There were 5 of us and we tried the 8 corner cut detroit style pizza and 1 8 cut hand tossed pizza. Just the corner cut pizza would have been enough since the square slices are large and thick. The square pizza was my favorite. I really loved that they piled on the sauce. The best part is that every single piece is a corner piece!! We always fight for the crispy crunchy slice, and now we all could enjoy it together. The hand tossed was super doughy and flimsy, and they piled on the toppings. I would still choose my favorite local detroit style pizza in the Strip District over this. Ok guys! So I had my first Jet's Pizza. The primary reason I chose Jets, I received a free pizza voucher(up to $12) in the mail and I figured that I better use it! You do pay for extra toppings, delivery fee, and tax, but still a great deal for around $5. The person who answered the phone was awesome, polite, and helpful. There Re many choices but I customized my crust "turbo" and added mushrooms and onions to my pizza. I loved the crust to the pizza, but honestly the cheese and toppings weren't for me. I almost felt as though the vegetables were just bagged and frozen, for me.. I love fresh vegetables on my pizza, makes a huge difference. They also used white onion rather than red (urgh) My pizza arrived quickly, and again, delivery driver was super nice. I'm glad I received the coupon and tried this place, but I'll be checking out some other spots around the area. Their pizza didn't necessarily knock my socks off. read more

We used to order from Jet's because we live close by, the pizza is pretty tasty and it was just an easy option. Maybe once a month. I always went down and picked it up. One time our car was being repaired, we were low on dinner groceries, and it was getting late and the kids hadn't eaten, so I ordered delivery from Jet's, something I hadn't done before. I paid for it online and the delivery time was supposed to be about 40 minutes. An hour went by. Two. Two and a half. The kids went to bed disappointed, having eaten whatever crummy little dinner I could scrounge from the kitchen. I called Jet's but they didn't pick up. I called over and over again and they never answered the phone. The pizza never did show up and I was never able to get in touch with them. Tried to call the next day and the day after. I just wanted my money back. They never answered the phone. As far as I know, they still don't answer the phone. I filled out a complaint on the Jet's website, which goes to their national corporate office, not the franchise. The next day I got a call - from the local phone number I'd been calling, the one that doesn't pick up. I was at work and couldn't the answer the call just then. So I called them back a little while later. No answer. Tried that night, the next day. No answer. They just don't answer the phone, ever. The only way to have any communication with this Jet's location is to physically go there, which would probably be pointless and I'd just end up screaming at some hapless high-school kid. This happened sometime last year - maybe things have changed by now. They still owe me $25. read more
