Wow, wow, wow. I feel so lucky that I was driving on Rt 7 and saw this beautiful house and I stopped to see if they had a restaurant (the patio lights gave me sense that it would). The restaurant is located in Swift's House which has several beautiful (1800s buildings on a small hill). The food was exquisite. We ordered more than we could eat because everything sounded delicious and it was. Linus was our waiter who was attentive throughout our dinner. I will return (and make sure I make reservations ahead of time)

The hostess and wait staff were kind and professional. I like the uniquely decorated rooms of the house-like dining rooms. It is cozy and the dishes are carefully prepared, clean, and delicious. The lamb chops special was cooked with precision and was crispy and yummy.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: Definite "Vermont Inn" dining room, with old time charm and romantic and calm atmosphere. You can actually have conversation with a nice quiet environment. "New England Charm". Service: Very attentive staff all around, great help with wine choices, food recommendations, and just the right amount of attention. Food: Amazeballs. All around great, from the starting cocktail, through the soup (lots of lobster in it), main course and dessert. Everything was well presented, high quality, and delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Just mind the parking, because that's the only part that could detract. If they're busy it can be hard to get a spot. We'll definitely be back.

Jessica's first brunch was a hit. My New Years day visit was excellent. The menu offered a decent selection of breakfast entrees, drinks and desserts. I had the waffles and chicken. Top notch. For desert it's was the maple creme brulee. Hopefully the brunch option at Jessica's will continue throughout 2025. Book now, this cozy restaurant fills fast!

Top notch B&B meal made very special by sommelier. Amazing duck. Sumptuous scallops! While chicken was highly recommended, it had disappointing tomato sauce on top and lacked flavor and moistness. Fabulous and affordable wine list. Seating in library was charming!

The restaurant was built around a 1921 Hacker Craft wooden boat, beautifully restored by friends of mine at Morgan Marine in Silver Bay, NY. The boat used to house an actual salad bar, pre-Covid. Now it's just a beautifully appointed mahogany boat in a big room just past the hostess station. The rest of F&I is a series of small and large rooms, some very intimate. There are artifacts everywhere (that you need to explore). Recently visited w best friend, Locomotive Breath (formerly known as Zagbolt). Sat at the bar. Seemingly lots of locals. Very capably waited on by bartender Andre. He was effective, efficient, and gregarious. Perfect young man for the job. We split a dozen wings (one of the specials which were smothered in an orange, peppery glaze). Delicious! I also had a cheeseburger w bacon. Perfectly broiled on a substantial bun. And onion rings. Plentiful. LB had a mesquite chicken panini w mashed. He loved it. Large selection of tapped and bottled beer, wine, alcohol of all kinds. One thing that kind of caught my attention was another patron's prime rib. Very fatty, on the thin side, $39. Did not think it was a good presentation or value. F&I is still one of the best restaurants around. Museum-like, and good food. Curtailed hours compared to years past, and looking for help (of all kinds). 4 stars

Their new location in North Hudson is huge and wonderful. Coincidentally, I just realized after reading my previous review that we were here this time on their twelfth anniversary, July 26th. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, PB! Being in Schroon Lake for a memorial visit, it seemed reasonable to travel another twelve miles north to pay PB a visit before returning home. Their parking lot was almost full at 7:30 on a Saturday night. It was amusing to notice the car license plates from so many different states (Canada is still understandingly boycotting the US). There being a 20 to 30 minute wait for a table, we managed to snag two unreserved stools at the bar. I chose to request a Paradox Helles (German style pale lager) while my wife went with a Ginger Hibiscus Cider. Both were excellent. While my wife munched on a House Made Pretzel, I thoroughly enjoyed a Pulled Pork sandwich with a side of spicy coleslaw and potato chips. I dumped the coleslaw (which I didn't find spicy at all) on top of the pulled pork and really enjoyed the combined flavors, textures, and tenderness of the pork on the toasted brioche roll. It was messy but delicious. Their pizzas looked good as I saw them pass by. Next visit may need to be on a weekday when they are less likely to be so busy. Service was excellent considering how busy they were.
