5 star manager and team. There was a few new people, but they were so friendly and professional. The manager did an incredible job staying on top of everything. I am so happy they honored my free birthday sandwich! It was clean and they have a separate section for gluten free. Even the customers were friendly which was a cherry on top. I love jersey mikes but today they let me down. I ordered a sub on yelp and added a request "side of buffalo and chipotle mayo". I picked up my order and felt no sauce cups, I asked the worker about my sides of sauce and she said "yes I put them in there ". She did not. She put the buffalo and chip mayo on the sandwich. We all know what a side of sauce is. I got it on the side because I was splitting the sandwich. And my friend was unable to enjoy their side of the sandwich. I would understand if I didn't double check like maybe she read the special request wrong. But I clearly asked for my two sides of buffalo and chipotle mayo. Overall, my experience was very good. The sandwich was made quite well and had the ingredients I requested. The only thing that I really had issue with and that I hope they've fix soon is portions when you ask for extra of something extra avocado does not mean just two more slices on a full Sub size sandwich they needed to do a little bit more with that. This place used to be great. We'd pick up lunch here before sports or beach trips and the last few trips we all hated our sandwiches. I went today at 2:30 to order a sandwich to go for my dad. I waited in line behind one other person and the lesson cutting her bread and meat helped the person in front of me. The cashier assisted the food pick up person that came in. I waited for my turn and the guy at the cutting machine e asked me what I wanted and I responded a Hsiang Italian on white. While he cut my bread another woman came in after me and instead of cutting my meats to keep me moving he then asked her what she wanted and cut her bread. He then sliced the cheeses for both sandwiches. Knowing that I ordered an Italian (just like the lady in front of me who was done by now) and the lady behind me ordered the small turkey - he cut the turkey meat first - even though i was first in line. He then places her turkey sandwich ahead of mine and cuts my meats. This is what makes me mad. I know it's just a sandwich - but I had been waiting in line. Behind someone who has already gotten and left - and the guy cutting is cutting two at the same time and doesn't follow line order. I called my dad quickly to see what he wanted on his sandwich and then I see that he changes the order of the sandwiches to be made. The lady's small sandwich was placed of mine and pushed down the line. The female worker then looks at me and asks "what would you like on your sandwich" and I have to tell her that isn't mine - it's the person behind me and she looks confused. The guy just looked at me blank faced - doesn't say oh yeah I cut hers first or anything. So to be courteous I let the person behind me go in front of me and align our sandwiches. I don't know what this guys problem was, the reason why he didn't follow the line order, or why he didn't recognize the situation or apologize. By the time my sandwich is made - the person behind me had already had her sandwich made, eaten, and was leaving at the same time I was walking it with my order. Then went to get a drink and their soda machine is broken. Not in the mood to come back. I'd rather go to one closer to work and bring it home on my way home instead of supporting my local store. I thought great customer service was dead until today. I walked into Jersey Mike's today and was greeted by Marissa while she was making sandwiches for the line of other customers. Her positive, upbeat voice with eye contact was a simple gesture but makes a world of a difference in the overall experience. Sometimes you'll enter a place and no one even acknowledges that you're there. You have to ask yourself, does anyone even notice I'm alive? As the line kept moving along Marissa asked me if I knew what I wanted, it had been awhile since I've been to Mike's and I had questions. I decided on two large Italians. I asked Marissa if she was able to grill the salami & pepperoni. She said "Yes!! I like my pepperoni really crispy!" I said, so do I, can you do the salami like that too? She said "I could do the whole entire sandwich like that." I said even the cheese she said "Yes, I'll put everything on the grill and it'll come out really nice and toasty, then we could finish putting the rest of the fresh ingredients inside."She paid attention to so many of the small details that I appreciate. I felt like I was dining at a five star, upscale restaurant. As a line started to form behind me she handed off my sandwich to Maggie, giving her instructions on what I ordered and she let me know Maggie was going to finish making my sandwiches. Maggie & Marissa made such a great team. Maggie, kindly took over and paid attention to all of my special requests. She even pressed the jalapeños into the bread exactly how I asked without much explaining on my part. I was so impressed with their energy, knowledge and attitude. I think these two ladies need to own a restaurant of their own. Their communication with each other and the customers is superior! I can't remember the last time I was treated so well at any restaurant. That was just the customer service experience... The sandwich, "OH MY GOD!!!" It was one of the best things I've tasted in years. My eyes popped out when I bit into it. I had to immediately take another bite to make sure it wasn't just my imagination. My man & I stopped by here a couple weeks ago & until now I add my review. I've been lagging on so many reviews Yelpers, sorry but let me just say this JM Subs was really good to us. We shared the club sub & boy ohhh boy did we get hooked up with our ingredients :) This place isn't stingy with the meat like other places. Everything tasted fresh & I love the crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, & what I loved even more was the smiling faces of the JM Subs employee's. They looked like they all get along well, they were smiling, laughing, & importantly working hard. I love seeing that is in establishments. Good, hardworking people is what makes our economy run & also what keeps customers coming back. Overall a great sub & great price. read more

Whoever the manager is at this store needs to be aware of how they treat people who order online. I have ordered from here a few times now via Uber Eats & have had missing items & when I asked for a refund from Uber eats I feel that the store is now holding a grudge against me. This is ridiculous. I tried ordering another time after this & my order was rejected by the store than I thought I would give it one more try & this time they delayed my order by almost an hour & then cancelled it. A well oiled machine The Friday lunch rush team right now is killing it. The young lady working the slicer was doing an excellent job communicating with guests, pumping out online orders and keeping her station cleaned. She stopped in between orders to give a good wipe down and went right back to producing sandwiches. The 2 guys finishing sandwiches are attentive, communicating to each other, refilling their stations quickly and dealing with not so friendly guests. Jersey Mike's Whittier location please train your staff on the importance of customer service. This location closes at 9:00pm. I tried calling in a to go other at 8:36pm no answer. I attempted to place an online order and it stated the sandwich would be ready till tomorrow. I walked in the store at 8:48pm and there was two employees (one male and one female) actively on the work floor and they both did not acknowledge my presence. No hello, no we will be right with you, not even a smile or a nod. After about two minutes the young lady says "So are you going to be ready to order"in rude and discourteous tone of voice. I told her you know what never mind and she just said ok. I did tell her she was very rude and she then only said ok. I would like also mention there were no customers in the store. I've been here several time - sorry I never written a review, but here we go! I've been here at noon several times and evening on 2 occasions. All of my visits have been within the year. I'm yet to have had a complaint about the quality, customer services and cleanliness of the store. As I'm sure employees change like any other establishment, some not so great reviews are needed so they can be addressed. Try it Mikes way ! It's delicious . My niece who dislikes lettuce and tomatoes actually ATE the entire sub #11. Though it's pricey for a sandwich you must look at the quality you're receiving. Great Job ! i choose to get my sandwiches from jersey mike's because i thought it was better quality than other subs places. i was disappointed today by the services i got, for one the young lady was a bit rude, she was taking my order, then went to the register to assist the other employee who was assisting another customer without even saying anything! leaving me without even saying anything!! then, she came back to finish my order, this is what did it for me, she wiped the knife to cut my sandwhich with a used rag!!! she then, cleaned the counter with it!!! i did mention this to the gentleman who charged me. i told him that the young lady used the same rag to clean the counter and to cut my sandwhich. he then, just said, "oh ok, thank you, have a nice day!!!" i got offended by this!!! this happened today, around 3 p.m. horrible and unsanitary to do that!!! read more

I love this Jersey Mikes. Never had an issue at any other ones as well. But they are very accommodating! I was going on a school field trip and I asked if they can put things on the side for me. I believe he is the manager but he went out of his way to put things separately with no hesitation. He recommended what was good to put on especially since the field trip was the next day. This is the best Jersey Mike's location that I've been to. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and know how to properly make all of the sandwiches. The service is fast and they always get my order correct. Unlike many other fast food places they seem to like being there and have a good camaraderie amongst themselves. I usually alternate between the Big Kahuna Beef Cheese Steak Sandwich and Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese Steak Sandwiches. Their selection of Chips is huge and I like their Artisanal Root Beer. My biggest decision is which of their amazing Dessert Selections to get. The Brownie is made from a high quality chocolate and is always fresh. Warm it for 15 seconds in the microwave and it's heavenly. The Chocolate Chip Cookies are a must have as are all of the TastyKakes. Taking full advantage of the coupons available for its first month of opening I made sure to check it out and I was not disappointed. Deco - 4 stars Having only been to one of these restaurants a handful of times walking in felt refreshing and comfortable. It has the feel of a small deli. The use of chrome as well as white backgrounds and maps decorating as wallpaper really help bring the story to life of what Jersey Mike's is all about. Service - 4 stars It was welcoming to see how friendly and helpful the workers were. They asked if I had any questions and told me if I needed any assistance they were there to help. I felt comfortable and at ease with taking my time to order exactly what I wanted. Food - 3 stars Jersey Mike's is known for bringing that East Coast style of sandwiches over to the West Coast area. The menu is filled with different types of cheesesteaks along with the deli cold cut sandwiches such as Italian deli meats and fresh vegetables. Though the food is not of poor quality it isn't really memorable either . Don't get me wrong you will feel filled up after eating but it won't feel like it's anything new or special from any other deli similar to this. That being said I would always recommend getting the big kahuna cheesesteak sandwich with both steak and chicken being tasty. Conclusion Jersey Mike's is a welcomed addition to the plethora of fast food available for the diner on the go.
