Note: This incident occurred a few months ago…read more No issues with Fareway Meat Market - BUT I went into the Fareway Liquor Store and was treated VERY poorly. I went up to the register with my father who is clearly above age and myself (a 24 year old female), we had put our items down on the register. When the cashier looked at me and immediately stated "I need to see your ID." in a rude and condescending tone - I would like to note: Kansas law states: "Kansas has an exception permitting the furnishing by a parent or legal guardian to a child or ward" (even though I am of age) - I then showed the gentlemen at the front my ID and then proceeded to pay for the alcohol. I stated "it's a free world" when asked by my father why I paid for the alcohol he was intending to pay for. And the gentlemen at the front responded "for now." Which I took as a very rude and inappropriate response. Will not be returning here with my business ever again. Hire better people to sell your product.

I figured I would go and get lunch here considering I really loved my lunch the other day. It really does feel like a cafe inside of Adrian's and with it being like 45 degree randomly today, it was so comfortable, cozy, and felt very neighborhood oriented. While I had been disappointed at first by the service on the phone, I recognize that they had someone training and it's hard to balance all of the orders they get! The owner actually called me back when I hung up after being on hold for a sec, which is absolutely going the extra mile. I was already on my way and going to place that order but gosh he was so awesome! Rare anymore these days that anyone lets you try anything before you get to buy it and the owner let me try their chicken salad (since I was skeptical) and they had run out of chicken breast for the day. I really try to stick to mainly eating chicken, but the owner convinced me to try some of their bacon on top of it and it is one of the best sandwiches I can say I've had. Absolutely will be a regular at this location. Everything is delicious. Everything is fresh. You won't believe that you can get quality like this at a corporate restaurant, but you CAN

I got some turkey for $2.99 and had a nice serving. It's sliced turkey and nothing exceptional but fine for a salad addition. You can add several other proteins as well. Even grilled salmon. I believe it's around $5.99 extra. I could only make one trip but my bowl was packed! They also have some mini muffins and puddings on the salad bar. And of course they are famous for their free soft serve with any meal! Chocolate, Vanilla, or Swirled! Cup or cone! There's plenty of indoor seating and some patio seating as well. It was clean and there were plenty of employees cleaning and straightening up the salad bar behind you. Everything was very clean and it was a fun deli vibe. I signed up for the rewards program through the app. They are not far from me do I plan on going back. When I signed up, I got $5 off any $20 purchase. The staff is so helpful and ready to cut anything the way you request or answer your questions. The facility is clean and smells of hickory. Around holidays they sell smoked turkeys, gravy, and- most importantly- their 3 sausage stuffing, which is a must for our holiday meals. It is delicious! It can get busy some mornings with people picking up, but I always see people getting helped fast, the line goes quickly. Pro tip: you don't have to be there right in the morning. Wait a couple hours and come in, you'll be fine. Year round, we're a fan of their breakfast burrito mix of meats- just cook it up with eggs and you have yourself a filling meal. Then there's the dog bones.... Altogether, this is a simple and unassuming place, a bit old fashioned, but very much solid.
