Here in Howell Township, you will find a simple pizzeria standing out in this small plaza. I never…read moreknew this eatery existed, but I managed to take the opportunity to go there. Brand: 4/5 Pat D's Pizza is located in Wyckoff Mills in a small plaza, operated by the Esposito family. The logo can look inconsistent, from the outdoor sign to the brochure sign to the website sign. Concerning the overall brand, I cannot say that it stands out, at least beyond that plaza. The walls had the classic Italian pizzeria look with the brick walls and the wooden panel floor. Website: 5/5 It immediately opens you to a gallery of special menu items. The overall design of the website has a nice, sleek black tone. I can tell that Pat D's has cultivated their brand for a while now if their website is the end result. Every function including the menu works perfectly without any lag. Wait Time: 5/5 Since my order was a cold dish, I did not have to wait long for it to be served. Ambiance: 4/5 The small space within the establishment accommodates as little as it can contain, such as a space in the front to place an order, and the other side which contains a few tables. The chairs did not have any issue and the table had enough space and did not rock. The television plays a movie in the background at a moderate volume. I prefer eating in silence or with music playing at a low volume. As standard of any Italian restaurant, Pat D's offers a wide selection of menu items with their own twists. Indeed, my order became one of those signature dishes. Food: 4/5 I ordered Pat D's Salad (Small), which is the restaurant's signature dish, filled with lettuce, tomatoes, green olives, onions, pepperoni, mozzarella, and a side of dressing and bread. I do not really like salads, but I will say that this one proved tolerable, with the dressing and pepperoni giving it a tangy flavor. The lettuce and the onion strips give the salad a distinct crunch. The preparation gives the salad a distinct look covered in mozzarella cheese on the surface, which definitely works for such a unique dish. I usually do not like green olives, since I find them too salty and sour, but for this salad, I will say they did not pose too much of a problem. However, the mozzarella served as is unmelted does give it an unassuming flavor. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to take my order without any issues or delays. Cost: 4/5 The food of Pat D's truly reflects the brand. If the Pat D's Salad continues to have its place as the signature dish, I have curiosity how it would taste with melted mozzarella cheese. I can see how the food would impact the website, though they do not have images. As for the preparation itself, the wait time appropriately matched the quality of the salad. Considering how well the salad assembled together, I will say that service clearly cares about their dishes, and they always keep the glass counters full. With everything about the ambiance taken into consideration, I did not have any issue with my dining experience, nor did it try my patience. I can see a television playing a movie working in a larger establishment that accommodates a lot of people, but for a small establishment like Pat D's, perhaps history shows and documentaries would suffice. When it comes to first impressions, I will say that entering Pat D's made a pretty good impression upon me. I do wish the brand aesthetics of the website, and the experience of scrolling through it, reflected the ambiance of the establishment. I preferred the logo on the physical menu out of the three logos to be the consistent logo. With all of this noted, I will say that the signature salad and the experience traveling there was definitely worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars When deciding between four or five stars, I ultimately chose five stars, because I see hope within this eatery. Pat D's Pizza definitely fits as the pizzeria of Wyckoff Mills. I would consider this pizzeria my second choice if I ever find myself in Wyckoff Mills. Recommend To... Anyone who works around or in Wyckoff Mills and is looking for a quick meal.

I live locally so this is typically my go to place. Definitely not fancy inside maybe two or three…read moresmall tables if that many to sit. The pizza is actually pretty good. I typically get the dinners and the chicken franchese is my favorite. The only negative is the bags they use are awful -typically if I have a slice of pizza, it either leaks through or the silver takeout container breaks the bag and I usually have to hold it with two hands. It happens almost everytime my food is placed into their white bag. Other than that worth trying.

Website: 5/5 It seamlessly interconnects many styles of background and sections within their home page alone. The web page became easy to navigate and led me to various other parts of the site, including the Garden Center, the menus, the backstory, and the Harvest at Howell Road. Brand: 5/5 The backstory behind the Twin Pond Farm Market is that it started about 20 years ago, as an extension of the family-owned farm, to sell home-grown products into entrees and meals. They have expanded their products to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert meals. The backstory gives the Farm itself a sense of poignancy with its roots with an Italian farmer who immigrated to the United States and his family who would manage it. The logo of Twin Pond Farm maintains that simple design with the right color scheme to make it stand out. As such, it always appears in any food-products made directly by Twin Pond Farm. The exterior has the welcoming sight of a red-painted wooded facade of a farm, introducing you to a stone-cobbled entryway into many varying parts, from the vegetable stands to the hardware store to the deli. When we stepped inside the deli, I appreciated the brown floor and the brown tables, particularly since this specific shade of brown felt very warm and welcoming. Ambiance: 4/5 The noise was expected with such a small area, however it did not become so bothersome that it interfered with an important phone call we had to make. The radio playing classic rock songs definitely fitted the mood of the market with a tolerable volume. While I did appreciate the table containing a random assortment of sweets, I did not think that it fitted any purpose and did take up too much room, especially for a part of the market that already makes so much use for so little space. Service: 5/5 The service attended to any of our needs without any problems. Wait Time: 5/5 The service did inform any customers with a sign stating that they may have to wait longer for their meals. The transparency gives the Wait Time a higher score. In my case, I did not have to wait too long for my order. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Hungry Man Special, which consisted of pork roll, cheese, eggs, hash browns, sausage, and ketchup beneath roll buns, along with orange juice. Every part of the dish was well-prepared without having too much grease. The buns did start to come apart and lacked the form needed to contain the ingredients from spilling onto my plate. The sausage definitely had the most profound flavor, giving this sandwich an overall savory taste. Indeed, all of the ingredients had their own flavor, giving the Hungry Man Special a blast of flavor. Wanting to reinvest in my Howell Township community via the local multiplier effect, I decided that I would also buy some Fig-Red-Raspberry-Orange-Ginger Jam--otherwise known as FROG Jam. Just like the Hungry Man Special, it was also packed with flavor, in which case it had a very sweet flavor with subtle amounts of spiciness. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The business works well with other small businesses, in the sense that farmers come to sell their products. Cultivators of the earth are the most valuable citizens, as Thomas Jefferson himself would say; and they show their value by cultivating from the earth many products for sale in the vegetable stands and in the deli. The innovatively down-to-earth selection of jams definitely helps Twin Pond Farm Market stand out compared to chain stores. I love unique food products like FROG Jam that use wordplay, and always look forward to seeing such items in any local eatery. The working class patrons give Twin Pond Farm Market hope. Indeed, there were union workers present treating the deli as their hang-out spot. If a market-and-deli could cultivate a culture within its space, then it would help create returning customers, which definitely works in its favor. I did note that while they did source fruits and vegetables from local farmers, they did source their meats from Boars Head. If I had any personal suggestions, it would be to also locally source any meats if possible. The market is not well-known for catering, but they do offer apple cider donuts for such occasions, and they do have a catering menu on their website. So perhaps they could offer more individualized catering options for specific events, like Birthdays or Graduations. Rating: 5/5 Stars I deeply regret not coming here more before it closes for the winter season. Recommend To... Anyone trying to buy locally sourced fruits and vegetables within the appropriate seasons, and if you're already going down the busy highway anyway.

Their rolls are really soft here. I asked if we could buy another roll but was told that we have to order another sandwich. The owner makes enough rolls for his sandwiches. We also ordered soup but forgot the name of it. I think it was carrot ginger and it wasn't bad. The owner was giving us little samples of all his soups, as soon as we walked in. Service was really friendly and patient. Will definitely return to try that tuna salad sandwich again!

My first visit here with a friend had us both pleased, and with plans of returning. As you walk in you do realize that this is a fish market too, although the outside shouts that as well. I regret not taking any fish home but I did grab a Manhattan clam chowder that was pretty solid. Once passed the cases 2 dining rooms are evident, we sat in the larger that faces a small patio. Surveying our surroundings, we decided that it was clean and bright, not really all that bad. We started with calamari, my friend ordered grilled shrimp, her daughter had the kids spaghetti, and I went for the lobster dinner. We all scarfed down the nicely fried and tender calamari, marinara sauce seemed a little thin but it didn't matter. My friend liked her shrimp which came with a choice of 2 sides. Her daughter loved the pasta, mom tried and agreed. But my lobster stole the show. It was a 1.5 pounder and perfectly steamed and eviscerated for easy consumption. I chose the Spanish rice and grilled veggies, veg was ok, rice was excellent with the addition of diced up carrots and onion. The crustacean itself was as good as it gets, so addictive I considered getting another. The $35 price seemed fair, and the other 2 meals were even more of a bargain. Service was professional and friendly, we all had fun eating here. I think the trick with places like this is sticking to what they do best and sell the most of. I'm curious to see how their scallops are, but might just stick with lobster. BYOB too!
