    Pat D's Pizza sign
    Robert S.

Here in Howell Township, you will find a simple pizzeria standing out in this small plaza. I never knew this eatery existed, but I managed to take the opportunity to go there. Brand: 4/5 Pat D's Pizza is located in Wyckoff Mills in a small plaza, operated by the Esposito family. The logo can look inconsistent, from the outdoor sign to the brochure sign to the website sign. Concerning the overall brand, I cannot say that it stands out, at least beyond that plaza. The walls had the classic Italian pizzeria look with the brick walls and the wooden panel floor. Website: 5/5 It immediately opens you to a gallery of special menu items. The overall design of the website has a nice, sleek black tone. I can tell that Pat D's has cultivated their brand for a while now if their website is the end result. Every function including the menu works perfectly without any lag. Wait Time: 5/5 Since my order was a cold dish, I did not have to wait long for it to be served. Ambiance: 4/5 The small space within the establishment accommodates as little as it can contain, such as a space in the front to place an order, and the other side which contains a few tables. The chairs did not have any issue and the table had enough space and did not rock. The television plays a movie in the background at a moderate volume. I prefer eating in silence or with music playing at a low volume. As standard of any Italian restaurant, Pat D's offers a wide selection of menu items with their own twists. Indeed, my order became one of those signature dishes. Food: 4/5 I ordered Pat D's Salad (Small), which is the restaurant's signature dish, filled with lettuce, tomatoes, green olives, onions, pepperoni, mozzarella, and a side of dressing and bread. I do not really like salads, but I will say that this one proved tolerable, with the dressing and pepperoni giving it a tangy flavor. The lettuce and the onion strips give the salad a distinct crunch. The preparation gives the salad a distinct look covered in mozzarella cheese on the surface, which definitely works for such a unique dish. I usually do not like green olives, since I find them too salty and sour, but for this salad, I will say they did not pose too much of a problem. However, the mozzarella served as is unmelted does give it an unassuming flavor. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to take my order without any issues or delays. Cost: 4/5 The food of Pat D's truly reflects the brand. If the Pat D's Salad continues to have its place as the signature dish, I have curiosity how it would taste with melted mozzarella cheese. I can see how the food would impact the website, though they do not have images. As for the preparation itself, the wait time appropriately matched the quality of the salad. Considering how well the salad assembled together, I will say that service clearly cares about their dishes, and they always keep the glass counters full. With everything about the ambiance taken into consideration, I did not have any issue with my dining experience, nor did it try my patience. I can see a television playing a movie working in a larger establishment that accommodates a lot of people, but for a small establishment like Pat D's, perhaps history shows and documentaries would suffice. When it comes to first impressions, I will say that entering Pat D's made a pretty good impression upon me. I do wish the brand aesthetics of the website, and the experience of scrolling through it, reflected the ambiance of the establishment. I preferred the logo on the physical menu out of the three logos to be the consistent logo. With all of this noted, I will say that the signature salad and the experience traveling there was definitely worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars When deciding between four or five stars, I ultimately chose five stars, because I see hope within this eatery. Pat D's Pizza definitely fits as the pizzeria of Wyckoff Mills. I would consider this pizzeria my second choice if I ever find myself in Wyckoff Mills. Recommend To... Anyone who works around or in Wyckoff Mills and is looking for a quick meal.

This place is perfect. Highly recommend the upside down slice and the vodka slice. Nice little classic NJ pizza shop. Clean and friendly. One of my favorite work lunch stops.

    Chicken cutlet sandwich

A family member has been telling me to come try the chicken cutlets forever so I had to come by. I always drive by but this time I was hungry. The chicken cutlet sandwich was solid. The chicken was hot and had a nice breading on it. Nothing worse than stale cutlets that have that soft breading because its a day old. Not here. The pizza looked good too so next time I am going to try it. Good job Pat D's. 4 stars.

Sorry for bite marks. Lol. it was delicious! Grilled Chicken with Fresh Mozzarella on sundried tomato focaccia Hot

Stopped to get a quick -less than mediocre sub-at jersey mikes, but luckily there was a line and I walked into Pat d's next door. Went in for a slice walked out with a pounded thin grilled chicken on focaccia with roasted red peppers mozz arugula balsamic glaze on focaccia. The meat was juicy the focaccia and mozzarella must have been fresh made the roasted peppers sweet ! Heaven! Ty to the jersey boys for working so slow. This sandwich was soooo good. With this and a slice of grandma pie which was also very good came out to $15 and change. Totally worth it. And you saved me from a $15 half sub that is mediocre at best. Sandwich was big enough for two to share. I'll eat the leftovers for dinner. Shout out to the pretty girl taking my order. Very sweet and kind. I'll be back.

    Vodka slice was FIREEEEEE

I live in New York and was working in Howell and had lunch at Pat D's and was absolutely shocked on how great it looked and how much better it tasted I felt right at home not many pizza shops in central Jersey that has that good of pizza.... highly recommend trying them out u won't be disappointe!!!!!

Brand: 5/5 El Buen Taco and Grill fits within this gas station in Howell Township, and I will say that it fits well, for it contains so much potential. It manages to evoke the Mexican restaurant vibe, which would not have been effective if it did not bring me there in the first place. Inside, you will find many aspects of Mexican cuisine everywhere, from the beverages to the candies to the menu dishes. I did like the brochure design, though I am not sure if the establishment is undergoing a name change. I am going to miss the chicken mascot if it does. Website: 5/5 Coming to the opening page immediately sold me on this establishment, for you are greeted with the chicken mascot during the loading screen. The red-and-green color scheme exemplifies the website, and the functionality of the website feels slick with a few exceptions. You are also brought to the description of the eatery, along with the menu that brings you various meals, from breakfast to lunch, though the images at at the bottom of the page. They also offer catering. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to worry about waiting for my order, even though I abruptly said "No" when asked if I needed anything else with my order, just to search around. Ambiance: 4/5 The Mexican music plays over the radio with a welcoming volume. You will also find a coffee machine. There are also glass counters showing the various dishes. While every part of the interior seemed festive, I did not find a place to sit at. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana, which consists of scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, rice, beans, sides of hot sauce and green sauce, and a couple of rolls, with a Bocadin chocolate bar. Every part of the dish had a well-prepared texture, from the rolls to the ingredients. The rolls held their form every time I added the ingredients. While I did think onions had some crunchy texture, I nonetheless enjoyed the scrambled eggs, while the rice had the right amount of seasoning. For more than one year, I have been trying to keep up my bean intake, but I never would have thought that beans could be prepared so savory as the ones in this dish. That just might be my most favorite part of the dish, with the gravy somehow adding to the taste with every bite, whether eaten by themselves or within the rolls. Service: 5/5 The owner managed to take my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The authentic Mexican cuisine absolutely reflects El Buen's brand, from the website to the very plastic container with my order. While I did get my order on time and the food was appropriately cooked for the time it took, I did think that the establishment would have needed more people working there, even if it was a small, gas station eatery. After a day of snow, I will say that the Huevos a la Mexicana managed to warm and fill me up throughout the day, and the owner put a lot of work into it. The greatest contribution food can give you is if it gives you a positive feeling throughout the day. The dish managed to do that, despite a winter day or even no place to sit at inside. Nonetheless, the ambiance did not dissuade me from waiting patiently. If anything, it accurately reflected the overall brand. My order did come with a free soda or water, which I politely declined both offers. In which case, I will absolutely say that the order was well worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars Small eateries that have large amounts of good tastes give me hope, and El Buen is no exception. This establishment has so much potential. I would consider it a third choice for Mexican cuisine, but I would always want to try more of the menu items. Recommend To... Anyone looking to immerse themselves with Mexican cuisine and treats (of course, specifically anyone looking to brush up their Spanish language knowledge). I also recommend El Buen to anyone who works on the road and need a quick, filling meal.
