It was a quiet Monday, President's Day, late afternoon and coming back from a road trip. Brooklyn Square was the perfect pit stop! We had some pizza, some pasta and some salad and it was all really good. Our server highly recommended sandwich #17 and it was so good. I would have never ordered a grilled shrimp panini - - but this one was loaded with shrimp, avocado, broccoli rabe and fresh mozz -- SO GOOD - - definitely try that one! Service was also very good. Our server had so much patience - - it's hard to decide on an order because everything is so good! There's a reason Dave Portnoy gave Brooklyn Square a 8.9 rating - - the signature "upside down" pizza is so good. (Cheese on the bottom, sauce on the top). It's actually hard to even pick one slice - - so you'll have to go back and try other ones. My husband loves the eggplant rollatini....breaded eggplant rolled with ricotta, spinach, roasted red peppers with mozz on top - -that brings him back to Brooklyn Square every time! There are also quite a few other locations - Manalapan, Toms River, Bradley Beach, and the new Shrewsbury restaurant. I can't wait for them to open up their Marlboro location!

Fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, the only problem was that we should've ordered 10 pies because it disappeared fast. The spinach artichoke pie was especially amazing... creamy, perfectly balanced, and a standout favorite. Great pizza, great decision, and now officially a must-stop anytime we're passing through.

Along the densely wooded highway along Howell Township, you will find this small pizzeria…read more Website: 7/10 Its bare-minimal design brings you to the home page, where you will find the specials. I could not figure out what the prices were on the menu items. The color scheme had the basic Italian flag colors that stood out on the beige-and-brown background. Brand: 5/10 The backstory behind Lino's Pizza is that it is a family-owned establishment in operation for more than 35 years according to the website. Though, while the website does use an Italian chef as a mascot, he does not have a name. The logo outside was fading and the floral wallpaper crinkled with age. With that being said, I did appreciate the Italian aesthetics of the pizzeria in terms of the interior architecture with the entrance leading directly to a line before the counter. Concerning related merchandise, I immediately noticed that Lino's Pizza had their own soda brand distributed by Island Girls Beverage available in a handful of flavors. Ambiance: 7/10 The basic eating area sufficed with plenty of tables with multiple chairs each, with plenty of space separating two rows of tables. The television was a bit too intrusive. Service: 10/10 The staff was amicable and maintained good rapport with us. Wait Time: 10/10 I did not have to worry about waiting for our meals, since they delivered a free basket of bread and butter to our table before our meals came. We did not experience any interruptions. Food: 8/10 I ordered the Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap with Lino's Pizza brand of Tealicious soda and with complementary bread and butter. While it is meant to have a cold wrap, I did find a thin strand of hair inside, which automatically fails the preparedness. The Tealicious soda was fresh from the refrigerator. For a wrap with messy ingredients like bleu cheese and hot sauce, the wrap managed to retain its form until the very last bites. The wrap had the pleasant, earthy smell of buffalo chicken. The bleu cheese gave the Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap a warm texture, while the hot sauce definitely delivered heat that managed to have a tanginess without it overwhelming me. The tomatoes, lettuce, and onions also complemented the overall dish. The chicken bits and the wrap itself were a bit unassuming. The Tealicious soda, which is carbonated black tea, definitely had a unique taste despite the underwhelming carbonation. The Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap and the Tealicious soda did leave satisfying aftertastes. I will say that I never had a buffalo chicken wrap, and it was not a terrible experience. Worth The Money?: 7/10 I hoped going to Lino's Pizza would help alleviate my despair, hopelessness, and mid-back pain. I will say that while we came in the moment shortly after opening, we found plenty of options to sit and not a lot of ruckus all around. It only alleviated me just a little since I did not feel any immediate flare-ups. The strongest pathos to the brand is its status as a family-owned business spanning many decades. Indeed, every family in the country is a manufactory within itself, as Thomas Jefferson wrote to John Adams. However, if it were to continue to operate, it would need to evolve with time. The establishment would benefit with updating many aspects, such as the menus, the interior, the exterior, and the mascot. I did like how they relied on a soda distributor for their soda brand. I express curiosity as to whether they sell them in packs, and about the sources of the ingredients for their menu items. Sourcing from the abundant local farms throughout Monmouth County would definitely apply the local multiplier effect to Lino's Pizza and Howell Township community. Can I say the overall price was worth two Yelp dollar signs out of three? Probably not. Rating: 4/5 Stars Despite the underwhelming status of Lino's Pizza, I still have hope in a family-owned establishment like this. Recommend To... Anyone who lives nearby that highway where Lino's Pizza situates if they are looking for catering which the establishment offers. I would also recommend it to anyone looking for a local soda brand.

We started with the meatballs, hubby had the calzone, which to me is really a two meal dish and 1/2 half goes home... I'll get back to that. I like the white clam sauce with linguine it's delicious, it's another large portion and 1/2 went home with us.... because they have zeppoles YES!!! Now they are light, airy and have tons of powdered sugar on them and I am ok with that- if you need a sauce they come with chocolate sauce on the side- my husband likes them this way--- but I prefer raspberry sauce myself, I'm not Italian and I have been told by my hubby's family and Italians it's powdered sugar only and if you need sauce, would chocolate or Nutella be allowed! ! end of discussion lol- .......but here I am sitting on my couch eating "our" zeppoles with powdered sugar and raspberry sauce, typing on my keyboard with powdered sugar fingers!! and he's legit cringing !! Here in Howell Township, you will find a simple pizzeria standing out in this small plaza. I never…read moreknew this eatery existed, but I managed to take the opportunity to go there. Brand: 4/5 Pat D's Pizza is located in Wyckoff Mills in a small plaza, operated by the Esposito family. The logo can look inconsistent, from the outdoor sign to the brochure sign to the website sign. Concerning the overall brand, I cannot say that it stands out, at least beyond that plaza. The walls had the classic Italian pizzeria look with the brick walls and the wooden panel floor. Website: 5/5 It immediately opens you to a gallery of special menu items. The overall design of the website has a nice, sleek black tone. I can tell that Pat D's has cultivated their brand for a while now if their website is the end result. Every function including the menu works perfectly without any lag. Wait Time: 5/5 Since my order was a cold dish, I did not have to wait long for it to be served. Ambiance: 4/5 The small space within the establishment accommodates as little as it can contain, such as a space in the front to place an order, and the other side which contains a few tables. The chairs did not have any issue and the table had enough space and did not rock. The television plays a movie in the background at a moderate volume. I prefer eating in silence or with music playing at a low volume. As standard of any Italian restaurant, Pat D's offers a wide selection of menu items with their own twists. Indeed, my order became one of those signature dishes. Food: 4/5 I ordered Pat D's Salad (Small), which is the restaurant's signature dish, filled with lettuce, tomatoes, green olives, onions, pepperoni, mozzarella, and a side of dressing and bread. I do not really like salads, but I will say that this one proved tolerable, with the dressing and pepperoni giving it a tangy flavor. The lettuce and the onion strips give the salad a distinct crunch. The preparation gives the salad a distinct look covered in mozzarella cheese on the surface, which definitely works for such a unique dish. I usually do not like green olives, since I find them too salty and sour, but for this salad, I will say they did not pose too much of a problem. However, the mozzarella served as is unmelted does give it an unassuming flavor. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to take my order without any issues or delays. Cost: 4/5 The food of Pat D's truly reflects the brand. If the Pat D's Salad continues to have its place as the signature dish, I have curiosity how it would taste with melted mozzarella cheese. I can see how the food would impact the website, though they do not have images. As for the preparation itself, the wait time appropriately matched the quality of the salad. Considering how well the salad assembled together, I will say that service clearly cares about their dishes, and they always keep the glass counters full. With everything about the ambiance taken into consideration, I did not have any issue with my dining experience, nor did it try my patience. I can see a television playing a movie working in a larger establishment that accommodates a lot of people, but for a small establishment like Pat D's, perhaps history shows and documentaries would suffice. When it comes to first impressions, I will say that entering Pat D's made a pretty good impression upon me. I do wish the brand aesthetics of the website, and the experience of scrolling through it, reflected the ambiance of the establishment. I preferred the logo on the physical menu out of the three logos to be the consistent logo. With all of this noted, I will say that the signature salad and the experience traveling there was definitely worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars When deciding between four or five stars, I ultimately chose five stars, because I see hope within this eatery. Pat D's Pizza definitely fits as the pizzeria of Wyckoff Mills. I would consider this pizzeria my second choice if I ever find myself in Wyckoff Mills. Recommend To... Anyone who works around or in Wyckoff Mills and is looking for a quick meal.
