    Pizza

About 2 weeks ago we ordered a pizza. The pie looked like the pepperoni and extra cheese was put on top of a previously made pie. The crust was very over done...burnt. Tonight I decided to give them another chance. Same complaint! This was a Sicilian pie. We needed a steak knife to remove the burnt crust. $30 in the garbage. No more chances! We will find a new pizza place

3 stars is being generous. The pizza was overcooked and a bit dry in addition.High price tag with mediocre quality is not a recipe for success.

The service was lovely, the waitress was so nice. There was a lady singing it was great. The food was good the thing for me was that there was so much butter in my spaghetti. But overall it is a great pizza place and I totally recommend! Love the paintings too!

    Garbage Pie, without peppers!! Delicious

Hubby and I came here for dinner last night. It was still early for dine in rush, but the take out and delivery orders are crazy busy all the time. We ordered a large Garbage Pizza without peppers, side of sauce and a large antipasto salad, chopped, I prefer chopped. I really enjoy the pie crust here, it's crispy, light and not bland, it holds up to the toppings. I eat at least 6 or more times a month from Mona Lisa, because they do quite a delivery and catering business where I work. I'm happy to report that the food and service is consistent and wonderful.

Spent a long day at Six Flags & wanted to enjoy an outdoor meal. Mona Lisa was recommended by a local, more specifically their penne pasta. I originally was going to get that, but I changed my mind and got shrimp scampi. So delicious. Service was excellent. The table bread was good as well. Also had a great talk with the manager, luckily business has been consistent even through Covid. He set up outside seating, BYOB, and music. Enjoyed myself a lot! Will return if I'm ever in the area

I ordered the pork chop and I swear it melted in my mouth faster than my paycheck disappears on Amazon. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned so well I almost stood up and applauded in the middle of the restaurant. Then came dessert... the cannoli cake. Whoever invented that deserves their own national holiday. Out of this world doesn't even describe it. I took one bite and immediately started questioning every other dessert I've ever eaten in my life. The staff was awesome, the atmosphere was great, and honestly I'd probably fight a small bear for another slice of that cake.

Many of our friends have recommended Clarizio's to us but every time we gave thought about coming it has been particularly difficult to get a reservation on a Saturday night. I was working late on Saturday, so I was unaware that my husband was able to make a reservation for 8:30PM. Reservations are not made through Open Table. Instead, Clarizio's website send you to another site called Resy to make a reservation. What was shocking and disappointing is that Clarizio's hold your credit card number to secure the reservation and if you don't show a $25 fee is charged. My husband was so worried that they were going to count us as a no show because we were running a little late. He even tried to call to inform them that we were running late, but no one answered the phone. Luckily, Clarizio's called us because we were about 10 min late to inquire our whereabouts and we had just turned into the restaurant parking lot. Upon arrival, the hostess took us to a table set for 2 in a crowded dining room with all other tables holding large parties. Although it was crowded it did not take away anything from our wonderful dining experience! Our waiter John P was extremely nice and helpful especially after he learned that it was our first time dining here. Unfortunately, I was unaware that it was BYOB because I was working and was unable to check the website. Our waiter John eased our minds by saying that it was okay and that we would have to rely on their food to make a good impression. That certainly was no disappointment! Our food was so terrific, that we cannot wait to return and taste so many other delicious sounding items on their menu. John also told us that unless we have huge appetites, their entree portions were large enough to share. We were glad to take John's suggestion and shared the Zuppa di Pesce which was plentiful of shellfish in a tomato broth over angel hair pasta. We have had this dish in many other Italian restaurants and this was one of the best! This entree also came with one salad and I asked for an extra salad for me since we were sharing the entree. Not to go unnoticed was the crunchy outside and soft inside delicious bread. For dessert, we shared the Tiramisu suggested by John as it was his personal favorite. It was so light and flavorful that we too could make it our personal favorite! All in all this was a fabulous dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant! Next time though, I will remember to bring a bottle of wine.

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot , we can see through the windows and so I'm sitting in the car , none of the employees have their masks on, the guy is eating behind the counter and licking his fingers , next to another guy who is making a pizza ,which is such a turn off for me , I didn't even want to get my food but because I had ordered it online it was already paid. Therefore sanitary I would give that a 0 since that's a big Disgust in the food industry , at least eat on the side not in the kitchen area where food is being prepared. When I went to eat the pizza my blue cheese that I got in the side was hot and gross from sitting on top of the pizza oven but whatever I wasn't gonna stress over that as my main concern was my pizza didn't even look fully cooked as the cheese wasn't fully melted in the center but yet the crust was hard. As for the flavor it could of tasted better , it tasted kinda blan for a buffalo chicken pizza, I was super disappointed especially since I've been looking forward to it for some time now. Especially since it costed $21 which is a lot of money for a pizza. I will not recommend coming here for any specialty pizza that's for sure. I would not come back to disappointing :/

It was a quiet Monday, President's Day, late afternoon and coming back from a road trip. Brooklyn Square was the perfect pit stop! We had some pizza, some pasta and some salad and it was all really good. Our server highly recommended sandwich #17 and it was so good. I would have never ordered a grilled shrimp panini - - but this one was loaded with shrimp, avocado, broccoli rabe and fresh mozz -- SO GOOD - - definitely try that one! Service was also very good. Our server had so much patience - - it's hard to decide on an order because everything is so good! There's a reason Dave Portnoy gave Brooklyn Square a 8.9 rating - - the signature "upside down" pizza is so good. (Cheese on the bottom, sauce on the top). It's actually hard to even pick one slice - - so you'll have to go back and try other ones. My husband loves the eggplant rollatini....breaded eggplant rolled with ricotta, spinach, roasted red peppers with mozz on top - -that brings him back to Brooklyn Square every time! There are also quite a few other locations - Manalapan, Toms River, Bradley Beach, and the new Shrewsbury restaurant. I can't wait for them to open up their Marlboro location!
