This restaurant is sooo good! Vine hace 3 años y regresar me recordó lo amazing que es. House Salad, tortellini, Upside Down Square Pizza y Peter's Special! todo delicioso. Got Brooklyn Square pizza to go and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The pizza shop is clean and you can tell it's the real deal as soon as you walk in. The employees were super friendly and the service was great. The square slices I got were super flavorful and had the perfect amount of fluffy dough to crispy crust. I'm happy to report that Brooklyn square pizza has perfected the ratio!

Awesome square pizza here! Great crust and flavorful sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. They make fantastic round pizzas as well, but go with the square. You won't regret it!

Always good service and the quality of the squares is second to none. The owner is a real gentleman. Milo gives a 5 paw rating

Upside down pie, at Brooklyn Square Pizza in Jackson, NJ.

Doesn't get much better than Brooklyn Square Pizza in Jackson, NJ. 1st Timers tonight, we ordered an Upside Down Square pie, a chicken parm dinner, and a stuffed shells dinner. HUGE portions. The pizza was one of the Best I've had anywhere, it was that awesome. Crisp undercarriage, but light & airy on the inside. And the sauce...that sauce was phenomenal. Had an ever so slight kick to it also. Nice tang. My wife's chicken parm dinner was outstanding, she loved it. Service was stellar, Donna was very attentive & personable. Don't think I can't heap any more praise on Brooklyn Square, but they certainly deserve it. Can't wait for a return visit !

Won't put the video together for a few days still probably, but finally had the opportunity to check out Brooklyn Square today in Jackson. We got a half upside down square and a half "Gravesend" which was fresh mozz, peeled tomato sauce, grana padano, and fresh basil. Both were incredible, and this is coming from someone who spent his youth eating square slices IN Brooklyn. The crust was light and airy with a unique taste, great fresh tasting sauce on both, and high quality cheese. The owner was a super friendly guy and this is priced around what I'd expect. Portnoy gave them an 8.9 and he's not even into this style of pizza (not that I always agree with him anyway haha). Brooklyn Square absolutely - Didn't Suck! Service was amazing. The owner was very kind, humorous and had a quick but genuine conversation with us. He asked why we were taking the slices to go and when we mentioned the drive back to JC, he said his son goes to school in Hoboken but he doesn't know how the people there survive when pizza slices are like $9. The young gentlemen who assisted us made some recommendations (all which tasted great) and he was friendly as well. The grandma slice was my least favorite but the vodka slice and chicken bacon with boom boom sauce (I think that's what it was called) were really good. Overall if I'm back in the area I'd definitely visit again! Especially with 4 slices for about $17.

    Calamari (very good)

A coworker alerted me to this place, so I met a friend here recently to see if his claims were true. My friend was watching her carbs so it was up to me to figure out what pie to order, I knew that the upside down was the signature here, so I asked for that with garlic and shrooms on half......but was coerced by the owner to skip the garlic. Heresy! But I went along with it, he was very passionate about the product and wanted me to try it as he intended. We noshed on very good fried calamari while waiting for the massive pie to bake. We'd get that again. Her chicken panini arrived first and it looked and tasted great, no photo. The pie took several minutes to cool down, this specimen starts with fresh mozzarella on the crust, copious sauce is added and a layer of pecorino Romano tops it off. The sauce is a touch sweet but not too sweet, just enough to reduce acidity. The crust while being as thick as a Sicilian is a little bit airier, but perfectly crispy on bottom and sides. The pecorino adds a sharp contrast to sauce and creamy mozzarella. Very well done. This pie fed me for the next few days and I even had to freeze the last slice! I enjoyed it reheated just as much as the first serving. When I return I'll try the thinner square pie and hopefully I'll be allowed the garlic. The owner and entire staff are very friendly. If I lived nearby I'd be getting slices here a few times a week. We plan on returning.

One of my all-time favorite pizza joints in New Jersey. My favorite slice from here is the mushroom/Onion but they are always out of it. Regular slice is simply amazing as well. So soft & thick. If you like pizza you'll love Brooklyn Square. Come give them a shot. Staff is very friendly & the service is great. Restaurant is always well kept & clean.

Absolutely loved the upside down pie. While it looks like a thick Sicilian, it was light similar to Detroit style. Excellent light dough with a crispy crust, tasty sauce and it was an amazing slice. The pepperoni was more of a traditional grandma style and was also very good but I preferred the upside down pie. Excited to grab a whole pie next time and try the vodka sauce.

Delivery. They said hour. It was only 45 minutes Ordered half plain half marone. Soggy mess. Had to use knife and fork

The upside down with peppers, onions, and meatballs.

Along the densely wooded highway along Howell Township, you will find this small pizzeria…read more Website: 7/10 Its bare-minimal design brings you to the home page, where you will find the specials. I could not figure out what the prices were on the menu items. The color scheme had the basic Italian flag colors that stood out on the beige-and-brown background. Brand: 5/10 The backstory behind Lino's Pizza is that it is a family-owned establishment in operation for more than 35 years according to the website. Though, while the website does use an Italian chef as a mascot, he does not have a name. The logo outside was fading and the floral wallpaper crinkled with age. With that being said, I did appreciate the Italian aesthetics of the pizzeria in terms of the interior architecture with the entrance leading directly to a line before the counter. Concerning related merchandise, I immediately noticed that Lino's Pizza had their own soda brand distributed by Island Girls Beverage available in a handful of flavors. Ambiance: 7/10 The basic eating area sufficed with plenty of tables with multiple chairs each, with plenty of space separating two rows of tables. The television was a bit too intrusive. Service: 10/10 The staff was amicable and maintained good rapport with us. Wait Time: 10/10 I did not have to worry about waiting for our meals, since they delivered a free basket of bread and butter to our table before our meals came. We did not experience any interruptions. Food: 8/10 I ordered the Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap with Lino's Pizza brand of Tealicious soda and with complementary bread and butter. While it is meant to have a cold wrap, I did find a thin strand of hair inside, which automatically fails the preparedness. The Tealicious soda was fresh from the refrigerator. For a wrap with messy ingredients like bleu cheese and hot sauce, the wrap managed to retain its form until the very last bites. The wrap had the pleasant, earthy smell of buffalo chicken. The bleu cheese gave the Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap a warm texture, while the hot sauce definitely delivered heat that managed to have a tanginess without it overwhelming me. The tomatoes, lettuce, and onions also complemented the overall dish. The chicken bits and the wrap itself were a bit unassuming. The Tealicious soda, which is carbonated black tea, definitely had a unique taste despite the underwhelming carbonation. The Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap and the Tealicious soda did leave satisfying aftertastes. I will say that I never had a buffalo chicken wrap, and it was not a terrible experience. Worth The Money?: 7/10 I hoped going to Lino's Pizza would help alleviate my despair, hopelessness, and mid-back pain. I will say that while we came in the moment shortly after opening, we found plenty of options to sit and not a lot of ruckus all around. It only alleviated me just a little since I did not feel any immediate flare-ups. The strongest pathos to the brand is its status as a family-owned business spanning many decades. Indeed, every family in the country is a manufactory within itself, as Thomas Jefferson wrote to John Adams. However, if it were to continue to operate, it would need to evolve with time. The establishment would benefit with updating many aspects, such as the menus, the interior, the exterior, and the mascot. I did like how they relied on a soda distributor for their soda brand. I express curiosity as to whether they sell them in packs, and about the sources of the ingredients for their menu items. Sourcing from the abundant local farms throughout Monmouth County would definitely apply the local multiplier effect to Lino's Pizza and Howell Township community. Can I say the overall price was worth two Yelp dollar signs out of three? Probably not. Rating: 4/5 Stars Despite the underwhelming status of Lino's Pizza, I still have hope in a family-owned establishment like this. Recommend To... Anyone who lives nearby that highway where Lino's Pizza situates if they are looking for catering which the establishment offers. I would also recommend it to anyone looking for a local soda brand.

Sat at bar and ordered meatball app - not bad - then ordered margharita pie - in this day and age, when pizza has become a gourmet situation and thr world has become obsessed, I would think that anyone selling it should be on their game. it came out and the mozzerella was sour - I had guy taste it and he agreed. after i figured let me be safe and order regular and specificall said a few times, light cheese and extra sauce. pie comes out alot of cheese and little sauce and quite honestly the regular mozzerella also tasted a bit sour. I was willing to live with it. my issue aside from bad food is when bill came, I expected guy to either comp the pizza or offer coffee or something.... not only did he not do it but he kept charge for margarita when i had a regular which is cheaper. save your time and money and go to one I listed above - you will not only be happy, but you will now have 2 go-to places that are on point 100% of the time
