My last review was 2017- but I've ate here here probably 40 times since then and every time the food has been fantastic. It's usually just my hubby and I. Dinner always 100% delicious. We started with the meatballs, hubby had the calzone, which to me is really a two meal dish and 1/2 half goes home... I'll get back to that. I like the white clam sauce with linguine it's delicious, it's another large portion and 1/2 went home with us.... because they have zeppoles YES!!! Now they are light, airy and have tons of powdered sugar on them and I am ok with that- if you need a sauce they come with chocolate sauce on the side- my husband likes them this way--- but I prefer raspberry sauce myself, I'm not Italian and I have been told by my hubby's family and Italians it's powdered sugar only and if you need sauce, would chocolate or Nutella be allowed! ! end of discussion lol- .......but here I am sitting on my couch eating "our" zeppoles with powdered sugar and raspberry sauce, typing on my keyboard with powdered sugar fingers!! and he's legit cringing !! never again I am not the guy who likes to try nee places when I have the great places already. here is a perfect example. first off, if uou want great pizza in this area, Romeo33 and Bacco are you places to go!! always incredible. a friend of mine wanted to try this place. Sat at bar and ordered meatball app - not bad - then ordered margharita pie - in this day and age, when pizza has become a gourmet situation and thr world has become obsessed, I would think that anyone selling it should be on their game. it came out and the mozzerella was sour - I had guy taste it and he agreed. after i figured let me be safe and order regular and specificall said a few times, light cheese and extra sauce. pie comes out alot of cheese and little sauce and quite honestly the regular mozzerella also tasted a bit sour. I was willing to live with it. my issue aside from bad food is when bill came, I expected guy to either comp the pizza or offer coffee or something.... not only did he not do it but he kept charge for margarita when i had a regular which is cheaper. save your time and money and go to one I listed above - you will not only be happy, but you will now have 2 go-to places that are on point 100% of the time read more

I pass by here so many times on my way home finially decided to stop in? The staff was very friendly , and seated us right away! The server brought us bread . Bread was kinda dry so not my favorite and wasn't a fan of the oil that it came with , just felt blan , maybe an infused oil or butter would have been better ! We ordered from the happy hour menu , got crab poppers and boneless wings. The server was nice helping me choose a sauce that worked for me. The wings were very good but I wouldn't consider the prices happy hour prices at all! We also ordered Zuppa do pesce with garlic cream sauce instead of the plum and it was definitely very good! This restaurant is located in a little strip mall off of rt 9. When we walked in we were greeted nicely and seated fast. We were also served bread. Our bread was a bit hard, and not much flavor. Neither of us really enjoyed it. Theres outdoor seating here. It was a bit chilly tonight so we opted for indoors. It's simple and warm inside. Our waitress was nice, got to us fast, and had our orders fast. For an app we decided to get the calamari. This tasted good with you normal marina sauce. I ordered the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage while my friend got the carbonara spaghetti. Both we pretty good as well. For desert we got the zeppoli and the tartufo. I didn't know what a tartufo was so I had to get. It's basically layers of ice cream covered in chocolate. Overall experience was nice. Food was good. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves. read more

3.5 definitely wasn't a bad experience. The waitress was extremely sweet and quick to assist us with anything we needed. My friend and I had met here for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon and got the Margherita pizza, calamari and two chicken sandwiches (one as a wrap and one in a flat bread). The calamari was delicious and pushed this to 3.5 stars for me because I am very snobbish about my calamari and they didn't disappoint here even though the pieces were small. They were crispy and with a squeeze of lemon and some marinara they were a great appetizer! The pizza crust was good but the flavors of the toppings were lacking for me. The sauce was too thick and not super flavorful. I would have love to see more full basil leaves instead of the thing shredded pieces that were added. We did finish the whole pizza because the crust was cooked to perfection, if I came back here I would try the plain pie next time with less sauce. I wasn't a fan of my chicken sandwich because I had asked for grilled chicken and I got breaded pan fried chicken instead. There was a lot of roasted red peppers in the sandwich and not much mozzarella so it didn't have the balance of flavors I wanted. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, and the restaurant was relatively busy, so it seems to be a local favorite. But I'm not from the area so it's not likely a place I will go out of my way to visit again. read more

We haven't been to Season's in about 15 years but it's now my new go to. Reasonable prices, lots of options, and I'm recently gluten free and they were very accommodating. Their menu lists a few GF options and my chicken and pasta were delicious. Very little appetizer selection for gf and no gf bread but that's expected. My husband just had a Cesar salad and said it was good. You can dine inside or out and we chose outside. There's hanging lights, music and shrubbery surrounding the patio to hide the parking lot & route 9. We didn't have drinks or dessert this time but we'll be back. read more

Several years ago while visiting friends in the area, we were discussing our New Year's Eve menu. It was December 31st at around noon. I thought ordering a tray would be impossible since it was a big holiday and every restaurant would be busy. I called Seasons and was surprised that someone answered. I asked, "what are the chances of getting a tray of meatballs for tonight?" Without hesitation the man on the phone answered, "100%." The fact that they were the best meatballs ever was an added bonus. Now, whenever I'm in town, i make sure to eat at Seasons. The food is delicious. Tonight I had the eggplant Parmesan. It was nicely layered and baked to perfection. Everyone in my party loved their meal and the service was prompt and friendly. If you live anywhere in the area, stop in. You won't be sorry...and yes, I will be ordering a tray of meatballs again this year but I'll give more notice just in case. read more

We came to dinner here a few weeks ago since we needed something in the area. The meatballs weren't bad and the red sauce had decent flavor. It is a huge portion. The caprese flatbread was also decent. The onion peel and the boom boom shrimp are the same breading and sauce. It is a weak attempt at an appetizer and were not great. The flounder francaise was inedible. I don't think it was cooked and had no flavor. It was horrible. The tuscany salmon was a touch better but not by much. The crab meat diavlo was bland. The good news is the bread that comes before the meal wasn't bad and the wine was reasonably priced. I wanted this to be better but it wasn't. The entrees were bad. Nice outdoor seating and very pleasant server. Started with bbq wings because two in our party can't eat spicy food, after it was served and one asked why it was spicy we were told it's BBQ, BBQ is got a kick. Our pasta with beans and chicken was tasteless. The crab fra diavolo over pasta had no kick. So what wasn't supposed to be hot was and what was supposed to be hot wasn't. The last two times we have gone for dinner were disappointments. Tonight's linguini with white clam sauce was beyond disappointing. It clearly tasted off. The linguini was dry and there were clams in the dish that were not fresh. The bread served was cold. We always enjoy the fantastic pizzas and Italian dishes every time we go. Today was a special treat- Mother's Day Brunch. It was a buffet, but unlike any we ever had. The French Toast was freshly made, not reheated frozen from some warehouse club. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. Not having an omelet station was a wise choice, leaving extra space for the savory dishes. Pasta, chicken, pork, beef and fish dishes, all wonderfully done. Caprese, with fresh mozzarella and tomato, freshly cut fruit salad, with watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, and grapes. The huge shrimp with cocktail sauce. The owner, behind the trays of food, enthusiastically encouraging us to please try everything. And Lisa, our waitress, keeping our drinks fresh, and our table cleared of old plates. We have paid more and received less at every other brunch we ever attended. They only do brunch at holidays, but it's a reminder how great their daily fare is. read more

In a non-descript strip mall somewhere along US 9 there is a very low key trattoria that serves a menu that is anything but non-descript. Simple fare perhaps, but they have raised eggplant to an art form and regularly throw together a linguine and white clam sauce that would make my grandmother's gold teeth melt and compression stockings buckle. Just spectacular. Look, if you've got your heart set on a refined night out with linen tablecloths and ten types of triple distilled amaretto then my first question is, why the hell did you come to Howell? I'm giving 3 stars because we've had better experiences here. Tonight was the worst and I really don't think I'll come back any time soon if at all. I understand that in the climate of covid and every business is now struggling with being short handed but if that's the case, don't take on more than you can handle. You don't have to fill every table and overwhelm the staff that you do have. Here we go, my husband requested something off menu, veal francese, which the chef declined. Okay, veal Parmesan? (It was on the menu) again no. He settled on the veal special which finally arrived cold. My son received kids chicken fingers which were hot but his french fries were cold. And I waited for my dish, chicken Gerard gluten free, and waited about 15 minutes until someone asked if everything came out ok. When we told her my dinner was missing, it showed up 10 minutes later piping hot, obviously an afterthought. My husband also asked for a dirty martini which came with a lemon curl instead of olives. Odd. It was more than a 2 hour dinner which was unnecessary and again, it was due to being under staffed and overwhelmed. Don't offer curbside which will overwhelm the kitchen and don't open all the tables if you can't properly serve them. Looking for a place just for dinner or even a party? This is your place! Their food is consistently delicious, the staff is attentive and welcoming, and the owner is great to work with. We just had our son's baptism here and our guests could not stop talking about how great the food was, how much food they were given (almost everyone left with doggy bags), and how nicely it was run. The room is also a great open space that is neutral in design so that way your decorations work in the space. Not only will I be hosting another event here in the future, but we had guests saying they will definitely be coming back here for dinner and use them for any future events they may need to host. I'm giving 1 star because of management and one particular dish that caused me to get onto yelp. So, we went to the Howell NJ location today to celebrate a special occasion. They only had bar area seating as there was a baby shower in the main room. Fine, we didn't know... The hostess was lacking in pleasantry. Our server was FANTSTIC and very nice! We ordered an appetizer, drinks & salad to start. We ordered additional drinks & our order was consisting of the Paella -Shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams, and hot sausage over "yellow rice" approx. $32 & Zuppa de Pece, Shrimp, clams, mussels & calamari served in a plum sauce over linguine also approx. $32. Sounds the same but should look & tase SUPER different. Of course, the servers are programed to ask if "everything is all right" and probably expect a response of "oh, everything is great, thank you"! I said no, the Paella looks exactly like to Zuppa de Pesce, watery, red and had zero to no rice. NO yellow anything as described on the menu. I had picked "some" of the shellfish from the dish as there was no rice to be had when suddenly after about 10-15 minutes from my disappointing comment, the server brings a small dish of yellow rice and tell's me to add it to the red watery dish as if that was going to make it a paella. At that point, my husband was almost done with his meal and my meal looked like his, so I had not picked too much from mine waiting on the manger to come over and observe what I was describing. Our meal was not cheap so why not get what I ordered per description on their menu? I saw paella was excited and was looking forward to having it. Well, the mgr. came to our table & that was a disaster! The MANAGER (you know who you are) had the nerve to say, they gave me yellow rice (10-15min into our meal, which I did not touch as the dish was supposed to be yellow rice NOT red Sause watery like everything else) .When I tried to explain to him, he said "he had served X number of paellas ordered today and no one had any complaints". Perhaps, the cliental were not ethnic who would know better??? As he took my dish which still had most of the shellfish in it, He also preceded w/ I was causing in scene (I was speaking in low voice) when in fact he was treating me like I had no class (as I was speaking to him in a low voice). He went as far as to say that "I was causing a scene, embarrassing myself & I was looking for a free meal". I was not causing a scene; he was embarrassing us and we're to F-ing proud to look for FREE anything! He also said we should leave, WTF, I hope he's an owner because he should be FIRED for being an A-Hole and if not, he's just an A-Hole. He discounted the paella to 1/2 the cost, but there was no rice and there was a lot of the shellfish still in the plate when he took it and he snarky asked if I wanted to take it home, I'd be charged full price even though there was no rice! I did not want it, but his tone was extremely jerky and unprofessional. Just an unpleasant experience. He might have just called it a loss, charged the price and extended a comp meal for a better experience for next time. Yeah Right, that would mean he was a nice human. NEVER have I or we\'ve been treated like that!!! We felt a little as though he was being discriminating to go as far as to ask us to leave when we're just trying to enjoy a meal and not causing any problems, scene or disputing payment. If you can't handle criticism, don't false advertise. Paella should not be watery, red sauced and rice lacking and tase like your Zuppa de Pesce seafood dish!! The dish was a watery, red, sodium induced with a teaspoon of rice, maybe? We could have stayed home and had canned soup and avoided the embarrassment caused by the manager. The manager on hand today 8-11-24 (you know who) was so quick to be rude in his wanna be a professional, showing condescending mannerism, judgy and openly accusing us of wanting a free meal, while we're sitting in the bar table area where people can actually hear him. Your food is not that great that we need a doggy bag, nor would I feed it to my beloved pet. Please take a course in customer service skills and take paella off your menu as it SUCKS, and we're not embarrassed as we did nothing accept to provide you with our thoughts about your dish, since the server felt compelled to ask. The sun is setting on Season's... We have eaten here on many occasions and the last several or more times were disappointing. We will not recommend nor come back. Garlic bread put on the table was not fresh, mussels appetizer were served in a tomato sauce that was overfilled with nearly raw onions...why raw onions?? The Old Fashioned pizza, a usual favorite of ours had a sauce that was so overly sugary sweet that they must have substituted sugar for the tomatoes. Who knows? Stopped in for lunch after visiting a nearby college. The ambiance is welcoming & cozy. We were seated in the bar area which was quite dark- lighting was unusually dim, given it was 1230 pm. I had to use my cell phone flashlight just to read the menu! There was a small crowd- not busy for a Saturday. We ordered a couple of their gourmet pizzas, skipped the apps & there was no soup option whatsoever. Our server was quite inattentive, which dragged out our time there. The margarita pizza was bland and flavorless. As well as the Rocky Marciano. The pizza crust must be made with semolina which in my opinion is dry, flavorless and should never be used in pizza. Baked in an oven - not coal fired at all, sadly because maybe the coal fired would've added some flavor. It was super thin, soggy, not even the crust was the least bit crispy. Though it looked very appetizing, It was just bad. We ordered cheesecake and tartufo for dessert. Cheesecake was average and the tarfufo was frozen solid & had to be eaten with a knife & fork. No thought to even set it near a warmer/microwave it for a few seconds to soften. My only other complaint.... my iced tea was a watered down, dark concoction of lemon water- couldn't tell you what it was but it certainly wasn't iced tea & wasn't touched after the four of us taste tested it. How does something SO dark not taste a bit of iced tea???? And why was it carbonated??? She had no clue & didn't even bother to ask if wanted something else to drink. Always a great spot to go to when your not sure where you want to go. Perfect italian food and you never have to wait to be seated. Food is always good, pretty atmosphere. We've been here countless times and never have anything bad to say about it including last minute decision to go there since reservations aren't mandatory and you'll still be able to get seated on a Friday night during rush dinner time. Specials are always good and they are changed weekly. The coal fired wings are also a must have ! read more
